Lainey, the recruiter that was working really hard to get me to even interview is going to get an earful this morning. I approached them at a job fair for a service department role and after talking for a few, he insisted I interview for sales...then called me three times in a week to get me to change my mind. The interview with HIM went really well-and he lamented the lack of women at this dealership. I get the fun job of telling him WHY.

Back this afternoon. I get a few hours to myself and then the inlaws are taking us to the Prime Time tonight. SIL wasn't thinking and called Monday to get a ressie tonight at Raglan Road...uh, you should have done that last month!

Dave is not doing too badly. Still pretty swollen but the pain meds help a great deal. He goes back to the oral surgeon on Monday for a re-check.

So, Nancy, I take it the YCE package wasn't insured? Now you know why I always ship via Fed Ex--automatic $100 coverage on everything unless you declare a higher value. Just pathetic how packages get handled, though. don't dare mark it fragile. That seems to give permission for the package to be used as a football!!

Off to play bookkeeper today, although I'd rather watch/listen to QVC all day. Love all the Irish products and listening to the Irish brogues and music! Going to see Godspell tonight, put on by the youth group at our church. Got a little taste of it on Sunday and was stunned by some of the wonderful voices we have in that group! Good stuff!!

Oh - and funny thing about Gunny. He actually had NO farts. Throwing up after eating anything -- but no gas whatsoever. Go figure. They thought he had an obstruction of some sort and that's why they did an xray. Then they discovered that he had gas build up in his small and large intestines and stomach. Poor guy.

Happily he's fine now and back to his usual antics of chasing Precious and trying to mooch food from us.

JRKaren - don't forget that you have that business trip with my DH next week. And no, it's not a Roadkill Convention.

Liz - house sounds wonderful! I do believe, however, that you are planning on sticking your Mom in the basement.

Pam, how can a dog have farts w/o farts? Being serious, could it be he had so much gas his body could only deal with it one way? I am glad though that he is doing much better!

Just ate lunch so soon I will have to bike... fun stuff! I did just tear out my old afghan and decided that I will make it much bigger. I might use stitch markers as I cast on to keep track of how many stitches I have though. I think this one will be about 400 across so it fits my king bed

It has been a good day I got up early to the most AWFUL smell.....Barko farts! I think what Gunny didn't get out...Barkley did, via his behind. OMG does it stink in this house!!!!! Nancy, I am sure you can smell them all the way out your way. It is just that bad. Not sure if it is the new food or the antibiotics...but it just plain stinks. Even though it is a nice brisk day here...the windows have been opened!!! Whew! And to think we will be having people through the house tonight....I think the windows will be open for a LONG time!!

Went to run some errands...one which was to pick up the birthday cake that Greg ordered for me. It looks quite yummy...can't wait to slice it up. I atomic cakes...and that is what he got. Yummy! Hope I can wait til Greg gets home to have me a piece

Went to lunch with Greg's SIL.....not sure why I bothered, but I did. Lunch was good and the company during lunch...well Anyway at the end of lunch I got a phone call. A few weeks ago I interviewed for a job that I really wanted. I got called back for a typing test and then found out I came in second...and the position was offered to the other candidtate...but I was the next choice. I was pretty bummed. So who is on the phone, but the lady that interviewed me and wanted to know if I had accepted a position with anybody since we last talked. Like yeah, sure, I have a line of prospective employers knocking down my door....so I politely told her, no. She asked would I still be interested in the position...UM YES!!! Of fourse I did try to curb my enthusiasim. She told me that it just did not work out with the other candidate and wanted to know if I would still be interested. Of course! So she basically asked me if I would accept the job if presented with a reasonable offer? YES, YES, YES!!!! So she said she would be getting the offer form HR and would be calling me back this afternoon with a number on the salary! I am stoked! What a great birthday present!! So that was my luck for today!
