:cool1: :wave2: Just cruising thru.........
Hope all is well in YaYa-land. I think I saw mention back there a couple hundred pages about someone going to Fl for warmer weather. HEY! Don't wish for it to be TOO much warmer. I'm kinda likin' this fallish feel we have in the air and I'm really hoping for it to last for my WDW trip at the end of the month. OK? So, come on down but, don't bring any of that "s" stuff!!!!!!!~
:teeth:
later gators............. :wave2:

Not too much chance of the "s" stuff here either Rosemary ;)

My mechanic was not having any luck finding an engine so I decided to purchase a used van to replace mine. I decided if I was going to go used, I would try for reliability so I concentrated on Honda and Toyota.

I spent all day in Birmingham (1.5 hours north) looking at different vans I had found on the Internet. There were just a lot more choices there than there were in Montgomery.

Once I was familiar with what I wanted and what they were selling for, I went to the local Honda dealer. He had one on the lot that fit my criteria. It isn't the color I would like as much, but it is low milage, in great shape and was just above what I had budgeted, but close enough.

So I am now driving a 2004 Honda Odyessey

I snapped a quick shot of the girls as I took them to school in it for the first time this morning. I do believe Abigail is ready to audition for Popeye :)

:teeth:

Alan - congrats on the new vehicle! :woohoo:

I have to go click on your photo link!

:yay: Rosemary stopped by!!

Rose Mary!!!! You are going to WDW at the end of the month? When will you be there? I do not want fall weather though... I really am hoping for weather in the 80s for a high. I'm not into wearing jeans while in FL ;)

Pam, we are lucky no s hitting the ground for us. It will be very cold, but the rain will be leaving us today/tonight. I'm glad for that :p

Alan sweetie, do we need to work on your picture posting abilities again? :duck: Great car and kids though :teeth:

Lily, I think I'll be ignoring all that icky s stuff with ya ;)

 Hi Pam! :wave2:

Yep Elaine, I can't wait. It has been quite crazy here at work lately. I will be there the afternoon of Fri. 10/27 until Tues. 10/31. I am very :yay: But, no hoping for 80's weather :sad1: I want 70's...........

Can't see Alan's pics right now :sad2:

Ok, back to the grind............. :artist:

Well girl, we need to talk... we'll be there at the same time then ;)

As for the weather, sorry you get the nice weather in winter... us up north want the warmer stuff.

So we win :p

In all seriousness, I have absolutely no clothing for 70s :(

Go into any clothing store. It all looks like it is for the 1970's these days.

Whooo-hoooo!!!! We'll see Rose Mary!!!!! And I'm with ya, Sistah, on the 70's. I want to relax and be comfortable, not all sweaty and sticky. Nothing worse than trying to peel off sweat-soaked undies in the rest room

We expect to be freezing our tookas off within the next couple of days here, thanx to the cold front heading our way. They haven't mentioned the s-word for us yet, thank goodness! I really like fall and would like to enjoy the crisp, cool days before we start slogging thru the slush again.

Cute pic, Alan! I think Abigail is a shoo-in for the part!!! Congrats on the new-to-you vehicle. I really like the girls' school uniforms, too. So much more practical than the wool plaid jumpers of my day!!

Can't decide.......Arroz con Pollo or Shrimp Scampi for dinner? Suzanne, which is better?

Howdy do. Hope I'm not too late for you, Bethie-the scampi is identical to what I've been making for years. Scampi wins. I didn't do the Arroz con Pollo, because we used Kielbasa :scared: Now if had andouille or chorizo, I would have jumped on it! (psst, the Ropa Vieja-YUMMMM!!!!!)

Nice new wheels, Alan. SIL has an '06-it rides great. Can't beat a Honda for reliability!

Gotta jet-Ed's 'sorta sister' is down from NY and we're headed over to Lakeland to have dinner with the family. :)

Okey dokey, I need to know who I can see over in WDW on Sunday the 29th! I'm working late on the 28th, so that's out-but Sunday and monday are open.

Actually, m'dear... it is all going towards the 80s :faint:

Hmmm... Bethie isn't on my side. Can we at least vote for something close to 80? I sweat in my jeans in the 70s but the morning would be too cool for shorts/skirts. I'd vote for Chicken, but I don't eat seafood ;)

Suzanne, we'll be there Sunday! And Monday too, doing MNSSHP that night. So we're free for whatever :)

Still in the 60's here, but showers off and on. Hard to believe tomorrow's high is 49. :rolleyes1

Beth, I would go for Scampi. :teeth: LOVE Scampi!! :bounce: Oh, and TMI on the undies!! :lmao:

Alan, nice new ride. :)

Hi Rose Mary! Good to see ya! And yay for a WDW break! :bounce:

Elaine, how about temps at 75? :)

hmmm... can we go for 78, with nothing below 65 in the morning? :teeth:

Sherry, I actually can believe that tomorrow is supposed to be cold. We just had another tornado warning here tonight and I know the cold air was right behind it. Pity, it was such a beautiful day today until the rain hit!

sick kid, sick mom, one odd kid at home that didn't make it to school today, and two kids throwing tantrums requiring assistance during the day.

I'm exhausted and going to bed now!

hugs to all,
tara

Ok, how 'bout 77.5? That's my best offer! I'm with Bethie and the undie thing :rotfl:
And HEY I have no clothes that fit my ever increasing waist line, think I'm just gonna go buy some moo moo's. :sad2:
Sherry 49???????? :scared:
Hey Suzanne: Sun or Mon sounds good to me. :teeth: At this point I have no set plans, except my sister made ressies for breakfast at Chef Mickey's I think for Sun a.m. not even sure at this point. (Please bring Ropa Vieja-YUM)
 I get to see Lainey, and Bethie and Suzanne. Who else???????
Tiara= sending get well PD for your house. HOpe you rested well.
Off to earn my keep.................Hope everyone has a fun day!

Morning!

Brr! Its cold. I think I will have to finally break down and turn on the heat. Only 39 right now.

Tara, hope all the sickies feel better soon.

Hi Rose Mary! Your up early!! The high is now only 44. :faint:

Lainey, can't help you on that morning thing. It's 61! Afternoons have been around 80.

Suzanne

Morning all! Cold here but no snow... all the preciptiation blew through earlier last night.

Rose Mary, I figured you would like 80s. You live in warmth :teeth: I don't get hot unless it is almost triple digits out. I love the heat. Has your cell number changed? I'll have to give you a call when we get in on Sat :teeth:

Sherry, we're at 30 right now... supposedly feels like 24 :faint: I'll have to turn the heat on in a few :)

Tara, so sorry everyone has been sick. I do hope everyone feels better soon

Suzanne, looks like you are on the cooler side of the weather... per the weather channel Orlando area has been in the mid 60s for low and upper 80s for the high. To me that is ideal weather, but I guess everyone likes it colder :(

Lainey,

I stand corrected. When I went out to the car, it said 68 at 7:50. :teeth: The past week or so it's been somewhere in the 60's at 7:30-8 in the morning. Afternoons all in the 80's-no 90's for a couple of weeks now. This is the reason we're here, lol.

Last night was very nice. My first question to Betsy was 'when are you moving here?' LOL. She's talking of moving further north when she retires, but admitted that it's very nice to be warm all the time. Ed's nephew Michael will be here for three weeks-we'll probably head over to Busch with him while he's visiting.

Lainey, right on for not getting that yucky white stuff.

Sherry, the offer of blankets still stands! Especially now that I'm contemplating going back to Kohls for King sheets-you can have the really nice flannel comforter. :teeth: You can walk around the house with it draped around you and look like a maroon plaid ghost! :lmao:

Tara, hope the sickies feel better soon.

Rose, woohoo on the trip! Boo hiss that even though it's a quiet H season, you're still really busy.

Bethie, no, you won't be peeling off sweaty articles of clothing. Ed can now mow the lawn without soaking through a shirt-I think everyone else is safe!

Alan, ug gug gug gug! She's a character! I have NO idea where she might get that from!

So, we haven't had the snow report from all quarters? Pam? Karen?
