Evening, all.
We had Red Lobster tonight, and it was easy to see why Kevin's grown three sizes in six months. Let's see he said he wanted the shrimp in juice (scampi) AND a lobster tail. He ended up with the scampi (I gave him the one off of my pick three), a lobster roll, some lobster fondue, about half of my clams, two fried shrimp and a couple of rolls! Then, he provided the entertainment. He commented that he'd eat anything I eat (he usually steals off my plate), and I asked if he'd eat monkey brains if I got them. Turns to Ed all serious "Dad, don't eat monkey brains...they're NASTY" as if he'd dined on them before!
Kristy, sorry I didn't catch your question before. I saw the first 40 laps and the last 6. Didn't like who won, but happy that Mark Martin didn't have his usual Daytona finish!
Lainey, Yep, Liz and I were using Basia song titles to tease each other. She's a jazz singer that you've probably heard but didn't know it...I've heard her on Muzak at the mall, in offices, grocery stores. Her stuff is very upbeat, has lots of harmonies and her biggest inspiration is Astrud Gilberto.
Liz, it's actually billed as a Basia concert by the venue, but in reality, Matt Bianco has reunited...they will do a mix of Basia, the early Matt Bianco and songs from the new album (due out in March). Ed told me to just buy the two tickets, that he's sure you'll head down here for that (and the Prime time, lol!)
Lily, those pics look like your DS will surely be embarrassed someday!! Awww, now I understand why you cried, the necklace is beautiful-those three stone pendants are so classy! BTW, love the dining room set-it looks like one we liked until I saw the other one!
Nancy, I didn't know that Ed was into the Arts and Crafts Movement until this past year. Now that I've found some furniture that's inspired by it, and found some Tiffany lamps to go along, it's brought our decorating vision together. I just want to get more ideas-I saw some amazing built in bookcases in one of the books-they were in the Oak Park house. Thanks for the info about the Grand Californian, I think I'm booking a night there, lol!
Liz, you keep saying that word. I do not think it means what you think it means. Mawwage. Mawwage is wot bwings us togewer towday.
Kimmy, Kim, Amanda, Todd, AA, Sherry, Deena, Betty sketti, Bethie, Tara, Paula, Caroline, JRKaren, Stacey (if she's out there), Karen and everyone else, have a good night!
