I'm back. Waiting for some help to get to sleep.

Deena, until I was 18, the only seafood I'd had was tuna and fish sticks. We've got iodine allergies, so I was raised that I was allergic. Love the stuff, and I think I'm raising a little crustacean nut. We got cheese on our salads, but not on the taters. Kevin would love you, giving away your shrimp!

Elaine, if you really like those biscuits, the recipe is on the bisquick box. I just double the cheese and spread a lot more garlic butter than the recipe says. Sorry you're still hurting from that salad.

Hiya Betty, how's life treating you? Are you getting to enjoy a three day weekend?

Got pictures of the shingles, need to upload to imagestation...half expect to go by on my next day off and see a blue house fully trimmed outside. Cross your fingers that I'm visualizing reality!

Ahh, relief is arriving, I'll get some sleep now!

Suzanne

Well it's officially a bug... Luis is sick now too. Hopefully this will pass soon though. Obviously no work today and we'll see about tomorrow.

Awfully tired... about to e-mail in work since I cannot find phone numbers to call.

Good morning, Ya Ya Family!!!

Awww, Lainey, so sorry to hear you and Luis are sick! What a PITA!! Hope your recuperation is swift and complete! Did you have a good visit with Dave, at least?

Suzanne and Liz, you have me :rotfl2: with the song titles. I may have never heard of Basia before, but I figured out what was going on!!

Ummmmm......Red Lobster....'bout as good as it gets if ya can't get fresh! I got so spoiled living in Alaska eating prawns. Kevin would have gone nuts--they're shrimp that are bigger than a big man's thumb!! I've seen rock lobster tails that were smaller than these babies!!

I missed Betty Sketti!!!! Leaving a big
hug.gif
in case you peep back in. Miss your sense of humor around here, girl!

Deena, that's great that you are going to WDW with your friend!! I've found that those "girl's getaways" are just the bestest!! Since this is our third year in a row, I'm thinking Elaine and I have begun a tradition. I am sooooo looking forward to May!

LILY!!!! No wonder you and Ted both cried!! What a presentation!! I just love the necklace--was it for a special occasion? Azmarelda is adorable, you will have such fun shopping for girlie clothes for her!! And your hula dancer!!! :earseek: I think he's giving Nancy's Lily Belle a little competition, there!!

LOL, Pam! Rodney is not the least bit pathetic! Why Nancy, Elaine and Liz put a great deal of love and care into scraping that little fella up off the road! Maybe he just needs a new outfit?!! :rotfl:

Time to go find the hair dryer and put my face on. Gonna be an easy commute today with the holiday, so at least I won't be dodging quite so many idiots on the roads. Snow missed us and it's just rainy out--looks so much like November should have!! Catch ya'll later!! :grouphug:

Morning all!

No school today, so slept in! :bounce:

Love Lily's new shoe rack and closet, Nancy. :) And your topper collection is great. I need something to display mine.

Lil Boo and Azmarelda are adorable. Love the necklace, too, Lily.

Elaine, hope you feel better soon.

Amanda, hope your feeling better.

Yay, Deena is going to Disney!! :jumping1:

Betty Sketti, so good to see you pop in!!

Good morning, everyone! It's snowing pretty hard here in Boston--thanks a lot, Beth!

Lily, Azmerelada is a cutie, as is DS 2! You must be so thrilled to have Azmerelda in your life now! Yay! Just keep her away from Jellybear--he's a real party bear. He can't keep his bear boxers on (they keep on sliding off of him).

Pam,

Liz, what are you doing looking for weirdos? I thought I was the Yaya weirdo magnet. Trying to be just like me again? I'll glad give you the yaya weirdo magnet title, though. I want to meet nice people for a change.

Elaine, hope that you and Luis are feeling better real soon.

Deena, yay on the girls trip! Should be a blast! I actually may end up down there with one or two of my sisters. My oldest sister is turning 50 on the 19th, and I told her if she wanted to celebrate down in Disney, then we could stay at the Boardwalk.

Hi Betty!

Suzanne, I think you should cook something you know your son will love that he's never tried before, and after Kevin eats them and tells you he love it, tell him that it's monkey brains. What good is having kids if you can't torment them from time to time?

Bethie, I'm to shocked by seeing you without your face to say anything to you right now! I'm scarred for life. My eyes. My eyes.

Hi Sherry!

I guess that will do it for now. Later everyone!

JellyrollsKaren

Hi good morning from snowy Rhode Island...expecting about 4-6 inches today. Kids are off school this week - Dd is at work - DS sleeping. Not much going on today - I will probably clcean the house and get some reading in - working tonite of course. DH came home last night with about 65 pounds of beef - yes - beef (sorry Mr Cholesterol) - that will have to be packaged for
the freezer tonite - thank god I have to work - I won't have to help!

Suzanne - can't decide what I love more - your Stitch or the laptop bag! Sounds like the house if really coming along - congrats!!

Rosemary - :cool1: you survived the birthday festivities - hurray!!

Elaine - My cold is just about gone - thank you for asking - and I hope you are feeling better.

Elaine and Kimmie - my DH will appreciate your comments on his beer - he also makes wine!!

Tara - your Geisha cross sttch is beautiful - I bought an angel picture over a year ago - haven't started it yet!

Nancy - very clever with the show rack...and a TV in your "scrapping" room - it's definitely becoming a home away from home!!

Amanda - so sorry to hear abotu the sinus infection - feel better soon.

Lily - great pics of your son - documentation for future use is always a good thing - !!

Deena - Congrats on your mini vaca with your friends -!!!!

To everyone I missed - happy monday - hope you had a great weekend and a great day today.....I'll be checking in later :flower:

Well, I just put in a call to doctor dad. He's in a meeting right now, but he's willing to go shopping for us. I know we need saltines.... anything else y'all can think of?

Bethie, I think I am past the worst of it... just small after effects here mostly. Luis is upstairs sleeping (yep two separate beds so we don't disturb the other). I do have a headache though and was thinking of taking something for that since water is going down okay.

Yep, we do have that May thing going on, don't we? Although I am pretty sure due to a February stint, I'll have to pass on it next year :(

Sherry, enjoy the day off!

Tuh oh... bears influencing ohters in a bad way again? I sure hope not, Karen ;)

Cute quiz, Deena... here was mine
1054921176_uressplmt1.jpg

You're Splash Mountain, you're cute sweet, but watch out, you can also be very exciting!

Paula, glad you are getting over the cold. Have fun with the snow ;)

Y'all were chatty last night :)

Elaine...you'll need saltines and gingerale..or some other clear soda.

Lily Azmeralda is adorable!!! Her necklace is beautiful. No wonder you cried.

I completely forgot to reply on Saturday evening that we loved Pooh and the Heffalump Movie. It was very cute! I just wish it had been longer. We saw Hitch last weekend and really liked it too.

Mad love to all
Gotta get to work now.....toodles

Good morning. I hate not being on in the evenings :(

Lily....Love your new baby.....and your older baby is cute too!! Nice outfit! Yep...he and Lily would make a cute couple.
The necklace is VERY nice!! Was there an "occasion"?

Aww...Pam, is Rodney feeling bad? I think he does need a new outfit. Maybe some inflating??

Elaine...sorry you and Luis aren't feeling well :( Hope it doesn't last long.
Feb!! Way are you going then? ;) I would feel bad though if you have to give up your annual May trip :(
My girlfriend trip is getting closer :hyper: Only 2 years to go!! But it was over 4 years ago that it was decided. My best friend has never been....I can't wait to show her everything. When it comes time to plan that trip, you all can help be prioritize the best things for a first timer ::yes::

JRKaren....Sonny (Christin's bear) seems to have a problem keeping his britches up too ...those boys!!
We won't even discuss the goings on in Chicago last year  Those other guys were such a bad influence on Lily ;)

Sherry and Paula enjoy the day off.

We haven't been to Red Lobster in a very long time. The one closest to us closed down years ago and it just isn't worth the drive to the other. So many better places around here.
But the biscuits are good.....I use the Bisquick recipe for them and do them at home.

Oh....if you can spare them, send some good thoughts Christin's way today. Olive Garden called her and want to work something out....she goes and talks to them today.

Reminder!!
Tomorrow is the last day to join in the spring exchange. If you want in, let me know by then. Names will go out Wed. morning.

Have a great day everyone!!

Gingerale, Sprite or 7-Up. It's always worked for me and my family--especially if ya let it get a little flat before ya drink it.

 WAIT!!! Isn't February when Nancy is planning to be there?! So we have to move the girl's trip up a few months. Whoo-hooo! I bet we can get a few other Ya Yas to join in the fun!! Might have to get a bunch of us to chip in DVC points and get a couple of 2 bedrooms or something!! :teeth:

Sorry about the snow, Paula and Karen. :( I SWEAR!!! I haven't prayed or wished for it or anything!!! What can I do to help make it better? Cookies, brownies, M&Ms???!!!

Oh, Paula, I meant to comment on your husband's brewing hobby!! Sounds like such fun and he is obviously having much better luck than my dad did, making root beer. He told me all about bottling it and storing it in his workroom in the basement and a few weeks later hearing strange noises coming from "below stairs"......went down to find his root beer bottles exploding all over the place!!! LOL!!! So, you'll be bringing the beer to the East Coast Ya Ya Meet, right?! We really ought to plan something, ya know!!!

Deena, great new quiz!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
1054921003_essmallw10.jpg

You're It's a Small World. You're very irritating, but people continue to ride you. You're a classic And I didn't even check the one about the song being played over and over and over......!!!!

Kristy, thanks for the good words about the Heffalump movie! Been wanting to see that, but not sure if it was worth it. How was your crop outing? Get much done? I found some new Disney embellishments at the craft store yesterday. Ya know the EK sticker thingies? 2 Mickey Christmas ones (1 with Pluto, the other with Minnie) and 2 Pooh Christmas ones!! HAD to have 'em!!

Morning, Nancy!! Pretty cool that Olive Garden wants to try to work things out with Christin!! I'll keep everything crossed for her that they can come up with an arrangement that works. Lily's shoe rack and closet are just the cutest! I see she has those tan clogs with the flowers on them--Dave actually tried to talk me into buying them for Dizzy last weekend! LOL!! I got the brown fisherman sandals for Mikey, instead.

Back to looking busy..............

Someone else had suggested gatorade for me to drink... lower sugar content but definitely the sodium. So I am sipping on that. Luis is being a baby right now though... so I am glad he's upstairs and I am not ;) But saltines are on their way now... which I am happy for.

Oh giving up going in May isn't that big of a deal... I don't see it as giving it up so much as just pushing it a few months earlier ;)

So glad that Olive garden is trying to work it out with Christin!!!!

Bethie, we'll have to work out arrangements as time draws closer ;)

I have such a headache still... most likely from total lack of sleep. I will be glad once my dad comes and goes so I can try to do that and then nibble some saltines in a while :)

Alan, hope your birthdya weekend was grand!! What did ya do? I could really go for a nice big hunk right about now!!

Why Liz, you are such a sweetie. :teeth:

Shopping with two guys apparently got me all mixed up... I picked up some S & M

Lainey, Lainey, Lainey...there are just some things we don't need to know about.

Actually, my youngest was sick all night and she is home today. I had the day off anyway but it has killed any plans for the shopping and dinner together to celebrate my birthday/valentine's that Mrs. AA and I were going to do tonight.

Sherry, from the looks of it you had a busy day yesterday. Hope it was fun!

Elaine, I guess the reason you started out tired yesterday is because you were sick, huh? Sorry about that. I’d add ginger ale to that shopping list. Hope your friend Dave doesn’t get it. Well a 500 page book! That is amazing that you got to read it all in a day! So no May next year…what’s the Feb stint? Another cruise?

Tara, that is some project you have going there. I don’t think I have the patience to do that kind of stitch work.

Suzanne, good for you raising Disnoids! Our DSs just roll their eyes every time I mention anything Disney. BUT, they don’t usually hesitate to go on that WDW vaca when they can with dear old Ma and Pa. Great news about SIL! That kind of news is always the bestest! Love your topper pic, what a festive car you have!

Kimmie, your young teen story was scary! Will you be having many more of them? You’re doing TM? I hate TM. (Must do it, but Hate it!)

Nancy, love your topper pics! Cute that Lily has a shoe rack and a closet! Hmmm, must get a belt for Sonny. Thinking of Christin

Amanda, hope you are feeling better now that you have begun those meds.

Karen, glad you guys got that bed situation figured out. Hope you are all enjoying your rest.

Liz, sorry about those shin splints. Make sure to continue doing your calf stretching and your alphabet drawing with your toes to help those muscles.

Pam, feel better. Look out Liz is rustling up some road kill to feed you? Run away! So does Rodney need a new outfit as a “pick me up!” Tee hee.

Sherry, Amanda and the girls doing a princess breakfast? What a lovely idea!

Kristy, patience dear, patience. 3-4 months will go by quickly.

Deena, girls weekend! Oh what fun! I look forward to one every now and then. I was Kilamanjaro Safari.

Beth, hope ya found your face. No special occasion, I’m just a spoiled princess these days. I need to figure out how to do the dress up a girlie thing. I never did play dolls as a youngster. I was major tomboy! Only doll I had was Raggedy Ann that I loved so. I miss having her. DH was actually trying to find Raggedy Ann clothes for Azmarelda. He said that would have been his first choice.

JRKaren, you make sure you keep your Jellybear away from my Azmarelda. Her Mama will have none of THAT! I’ll have to get him suspenders for those boxers, or something. Snow, yuck. We had ours yesterday, it’s raining now.

Paula, lot of snow your way too. Stay home. Hopefully by the time you work it will be melting.

AA sorry about your plans for today. Hope DD feels better.

I must check out airfare…SWA hmmm. Must look.
Sitting at the table with Deena and Elaine, no seafood here for me.

Poor DH, traumatized at the BaB store. He had such a time shopping there on a SATURDAY!

Good morning YaYas!

Elaine... sorry you guys have the icks. Gatorade/All Sport etc is the drink of choice here and Classic Coke will usually help with the nausea. Glad you liked the picture. They're both looking good there. :) A 500 page book in ONE day?! ...and concerning Dave... I hope he finds some happiness soon. Poor guy. :(

Alan, get well wishes headed to your youngest! I hope you and Mrs. AA are able to get that shopping/birthday time in soon.

Amanda, I hope the sinus infection clears up soon. That seems to be where the "bugs" like to go when they find me. Ugh. Miserable feeling.

Nancy! Good thoughts headed to Christin! I hope everything works out! Lily's closet and shoes are adorable! I love her little clogs! Very cute! That topper collection!! Very impressive! Dave's holders are wonderful! He should contact Disney... he might have a best seller there!

Mom is slowly getting back on her feet... thank you Nancy. The surgery back in October went well (she's lost a little over 60 lbs now) but the pneumonia and kidney failure afterwards really kind've took their toll on her. She does seem to be regaining her strength but it's been a slow process.

Caroline where are you? I miss your fun posts!

Shin splints instead of weirdos. Bleh. Not good. :(

Snerk! Princess Bride. *No more rhyming now! I mean it!!*

Lily! Your necklace and Azmarelda are beautiful!! What a sweet thing for hubby to do!! Ted, you are the bestest! Hula boy! LOL!! Love the coconuts! :rotfl: Teen stories... ah! I imagine there are probably a few more in my future. LOL! Better eat my Wheaties huh? They're actually pretty good kids. Crazy, but good.

Alas, enchilada leftovers are no more Kristy. How about roast? That's on today's menu. :) ... and yay for positive baby forums!!

Only 74 days until Beth and Elaine girls getaway?!?! :earboy2:

...and one for Deena coming up too!? That's wonderful Deena!

Dang! Computer screen keeps blipping and jumping! Argh! Wish I knew why it did that.

Suzanne, my fingers are crossed for realized visualizations!

Red Lobster/shrimp... oh my! Heaven!

Bwahahaha... root beer! :p Tom's mom and dad tried to brew some root beer when he was a kid. Apparently it's supposed to "cure" for a time? I dunno. Anyhoo... Tom and his big brother didn't let that happen. Burp.

Leaving some hugs here for Sketty! *Snerk. Accidentally typed Skeery.*

65 lbs. of beef!?! Wow! That's a lot of roadkill! ...He does wine too Paula? Very cool! What a fun hobby! Does the equipment require a lot of space?

Hi Sherry! Sleeping in is wonderful!

Eleven days for JRKaren!! Woooo!

Can't believe there are bears here that can't keep their boxers on. Bad little bears!

Ah. Another good Hitch review. I've heard several of those recently. Might have to look into this one!

Hmmm... I am:

1054920775_ictureshm2.jpg" border="0" alt="HASH(0x8c87f04)">
You're the Haunted Mansion. You think you're scary,
but you're not....sorry....but don't worry,
that's what makes you so popular
:p

Was going to say something else but can't remember what it was... poop.

Hmmm...I think the WDW trip next Feb. might involve......ME ;)

Aww...Lily, well I'm sure there are a few of us that can advise you on dressing Azmarelda :teeth:
You must get her a hula outfit and then take a picture with her and your DS#2 ;)

Kim.....hmmmm, is someone joining Elaine and Beth in May?? ;)

I'm got going to scare you too much with teen boy stories  Boys get in more trouble, girls have constant mood swings to deal with  At least the trouble comes less frequently....at least it did here ;)

I was It's a Small World.

Alan...hope DD feels better soon....and have fun celebrating when ever you get a chance to.

I must get the house work done.......see you all later.

Good Luck Kristen!!
I missed Kristy's post about a good baby board but I used to live at Babycenter, like I now live at the Dis! Not only do they have good boards but there are always ppl chatting and most of them are very nice and helpful. When I was pg with Connor I met a lady that lived in north Houston that was pg with her 4th girl. We would always joke about our kids getting married.
Hi kimmie :wave2: Elaine, Beth, Suzanne and everyone!
Matthew and I watched Saw the other night. It was okay, started out a little slow and I didnt like the ending but it wasnt what I expected--and that I do like. I hate know whats going to happen in a movie. It wasnt really scary to me but if you dont like scary movies dont watch it--oh and if you dont like gore (and I dont mean AL) dont watch it.

I keep getting interrupted today, can't really get to my work so I may as well sit back and let the interruptions continue!

Hi Again - checking on before I have to work. I should mention that I work from home- so it's not too bad - I am able to get paperwork done during the day - my regular shift is 6pm - 11pm. Best part - I can work in my comfy flannel pants and sneak a peek at the DIS!!

For those of you that commented on my husband's brewing hobby - I sometimes think I created a monster. I bought him a "starter kit" from a local brew shop for Christmas 3 yrs. ago - he just loves it - he actually uses our turkey fryer stand to do the "cooking" outisde on our deck - the process takes a good part of a day and takes up the entire kitchen - while "aging" it is placed in 10 gal. (I think) buckets - he has done alot of bottling and now has progressed to a keg system - complete with tap attached to the basement refrigerator (he is very proud of that) - he has done a little experimenting with flavors - has even made a maple stout with syrup tapped from our trees. He also got 2 of his brother into wine making - so every faminy gathering is a wine tasting event!! My favorite wine is cranberry. I should also mention that he is an avid vegateble gardener so I'm sure I will have many stories regarding that also. Oh - and the 65 lbs of beef.....my brother in law raises cattle.
Enough about him - lol - I on the other hand am the reader and crafter in the family.

Elaine - I hope the crakers and soda help.

Kristy - I really want to see the Pooh Movie too - Lumpy just looks too cute!!

Beth - since you are offering......M&M's might make me feel better.

Nancy - thinking good thoughts for Cristen.

House is failly clean - some laundry done - got some reading in (reading a book on coping thw ADD) - almost time to work...

Hugs to all.....and one last thought - I definitely gotta get myself a BAB!!!!

:grouphug:

LOL...SHE GOT IT :bounce: (sorry, Iwas laughing at all the different spellings ;) We're used to it.
The stress is off . She can pay her rent and finish up her obligation at the Sceince Center and go to school.....she won't have time for anything else....but hey, she's young! ;)
And they are paying her more than she expected which is always a nice bonus.

Paula...my DH also has brewed beer, but I guess he just doesn't have time. He only did one batch and that was about 3-4 years ago. He hasn't even drank it all  He has a friend that started him and that guy makes it often and all kinds of different ones.

Deena, I was interested in seeing Saw. DS's friends actually walked out at the theater, but a friend here on the DIS liked it. Is it worth me renting it?
