Kristy you have both an email and a PM. Got busy and got some stuff to you!!!!

Dinner is smelling so yummy dh keeps asking me when we are gonna eat so I guess I better get off this thing and mix in the sour cream so we can eat swedish meatballs!!! Yummmmmm...

Be back laters.....

Papasan chairs.... ooooh! I just recently became the proud and oh so cozy owner of my very own papasan. Minnie has decided it's her bed. Sasha is a cutie Kristy!

What play did you see Nancy?

Lost posts... :guilty: Frustrating. I lost an incredibly long email to a power outage once. It took me days to get the energy back to rewrite it. I wanted to cry. :charac2:

Corned beef? Swedish meatballs... Nuts. I shouldn't have checked in. Now I'm hungry.

Been puttering in my jungle. Got a few more non jungle-y things to find homes for, but it's coming around. Not sure what to do about the antique 12 drawer Queen Anne dresser. I tossed a bamboo table runner on it and draped some of my scarves over the mirror. Snork. Rather eclectic I suppose, but it'll have to do because I can't part with my dresser. At least it's around the corner from the main part of the room and doesn't really show unless you know where to look. :p

Used B&BW lavender scrub today and thought of Karen... :)

Good evening yaya's.

I think i will win the slug contest....I have not dressed at all this weekend!! ewww!

I'm just blah! I don't know why...just can't get motiviated to do anything. I took a 3 hour nap today and now I know I won't be able to sleep tonight! oy vey.

so lousy ketchup
Liz...your bath had me :rotfl: , diet is going well...home scale says -6 but we will see on my offical weigh in at school on wednesday.

Caroline...glad you decided to join us! :cool1:

Elaine...what a sweety you have! Hope wrestling was fun!

Kristy...Dakota is too cute!! How old is she now? She looks about the size of Ethan but he isn't in any hurry to sit up. He's a bit of a slug too!!

SSB...ISYNE4U says keep getting better

to all else... :grouphug:  gotta go fix Jarrod some din-din. He says he wants 3 hot dogs :O. I think maybe we will start with one and then cook more if we need to. I ate one yesterday because they were Turkey dogs and lower in calories...ewww yuck! I'll take the higher calorie mystery meat dogs! yuck!!

Maybe more later, maybe not! so hugs to all!

SSB glad to hear you had such a good day with the kidlets and that you are feeling well. Sorry you had to miss church today. I went but should have stayed home. I was too much of a slug to get much done at Kidz Church and it was kinda noticible. I just couldnt get my act together today to save my soul.

Hello lvs_eeyore, YES, a great weekend with the kiddos... even with missing church. I am certain that you presence there was very appreciated, even though you thought not 100%, I am sure still psyched that you were there.
:)

Evening everyone!

I think my late night turn-around was a success, because I'm feeling pretty energetic right now. Of course, we'll see how I feel at 3:30, heehee. I asked my manager for tomorrow night off so I could get some things done while Scott works (someone is all set to cover for me, so I just need his go ahead - we have these 'double-banked' shifts where there are 2 of us here for 1 job because of our schedule .. it's weird). Anyway, hope my manager comes through on that one. Looks like another quiet night for us since it's still weekend-mode here, but tomorrow morning all the 'ug it's Monday' people will come dragging themselves in. That's always a lovely thing to deal with after 12 hours. ;)

JRKaren, my 'stalking' only lasted from the monorail to the Epcot entrance. Now I know that you're very unlikely to bite, so if it happened again I could say howdy. I'll just refrain from making sudden movements.

SSB, hope you had another good day of recouperation. Maybe you can work in a WDW visit somewhere. I hear they're very restorative to the health. ;)

Pam, those sheets sound tempting but dangerous. My bed is already so comfy with the foam mattress cover. I don't know if I could bear to leave 600-thread sheets!

Nancy, I don't think I ever thanked you for encouraging me to come in here and post, so thank you! :) I still haven't tried See's chocolate. I'm going to have to get a hold of some of that. If you ever see any around, try some Purdy's. That's a gooood chocolate.

Kristy, our company is actually the Canadian weather channel, so we have a bunch of meteorologists. :) I think I may go for the new position. There are more pros than cons at this point. Hope you got some good reading done. I just noticed in your sig that you went to WDW for high school graduation .. me too! My friends thought I was nuts.

Suzanne, hope you're still on the mend, and that work went well for you. It's hard to be cheery when you're feeling under the weather.

Kimmie, you guys have totally helped me figure out what I want to do about this new position. It didn't even occur to me until I posted last night that I was looking for a new challenge. One thing my boss wanted me to do was try to 'reform' my old desk, but really that sounds like more of a nightmare than a challenge. I think I'll fire him off an email tonight saying I'm game for the new desk. Any pictures of your jungle room? I'm really curious (I love theme rooms).

Beth, JRKaren is probably right .. I probably should be publicly humilated at some point. Won't be as good as the frozen midnight dance, but what can ya do? ;) If you have any crock pot leftovers, feel free to send them this way. Sounds yummy.

Elaine, that stinks about your laptop bombing out. So frustrating. :( Ketchup when you can. Hope your weekend went well and wasn't too super-busy.

Karen, I lost a post on here last night too. Fortunately it wasn't a big post (not Ya Ya style). That would have really burned me. I hope they get the server problems here sorted out soon. I'm not really interested in doing on-camera stuff in meteorology. I don't think I'm cut out for the weather girl biz - I'm a behind the scenes kinda girl. Hope you got a nap in sometime. How did the swedish meatballs turn out? You know, I don't think I've ever had swedish meatballs. I think on my days off I'm going to scope out some crock pots at the mall and see what's up with them.

Tara, not dressing all weekend... That sounds awesome. :teeth: I must set this as a goal of mine for someday. 3 hot dogs is a lot of hot dogs! I can't eat pork (allergic) so I've tried a lot of pseduo-dogs in my time. Most of them are completely disgusting. We found some buffalo dogs recently, that are skinless. Those are really tasty. I highly recommend them (heck, I recommend buffalo/bison if you've never tried it, yummy!).

Ok, time for working now. Scott and I didn't bring anything for dinner so I think we'll be ordering something. I believe I feel like chicken tonight (like chicken tonight, like chicken tonight!). (I hope that wasn't just a Canadian commercial .. how embarassing).

Talk to you later.

:wave2: Thanks for the offer of recipes, Karen. I will let you know. I have a couple books and a lot of recipes also. Probably is that DH is going back to Atkins at least for awhile and I am going low fat, low calorie. They don't match up at all ;)

Kimmie....we went to see Secret Garden. It was...ahh....interesting.
But.....who was in an ad in the program :hyper: Yep....MY Johnny :teeth: I took 2 ;)

Gotta go watch some TV with DH.......see ya later.

The swedish meatballs turned out really well. The kids loved it and so did dh. In fact he is bringing the rest for lunch tomorrow to make everyone at work jelous ROFL!!!! Such an easy recipe especially if you use the already made meatballs like I do. I just buy the original flavor rather than the italian flavor.

Kimmie Im sure your room looks great even with the Queen Anne's dresser in there. Im sure youre making it work just fine.

Elaine Im sorry your computer went boom. I hate when that happens. How has your night been so far other than that?

Ugh I am so tired. Trying to get the kids to bed tonight has been interesting. They go back to school tomorrow and neither of them are eager to go to sleep. I cleaned the kitchen, loaded the dishwasher, straightened the house and now I wanna go to bed LOL. I will probably be asleep before they will.

Add me to the lost post crap!!!!! And it was a LONG one!!!! :badpc: :badpc: :badpc: :badpc: :badpc: :badpc: :badpc: :badpc:

Evening, all.

Feeling better-I let one of the other managers run the show tonight-so I actually got to be productive, instead of running around solving everyone else's problems. I backed off-hard for me to do, BTW.

I also fired off an email to the rest of the management team about our staffing issues that have been allowed to get wayyy out of hand. That made me feel better, too. Didn't help that my boss made me feel that doing the right thing (working all those hours to get inventory done) was dumb and that the work wasn't appreciated. I've calmed down now, but there's still a talk in my future.

An offhand question tonight gave me a brainstorm. One of my employees is in her last semester of college. I asked her when she starts back to school, and then I realized something. Those last six credits I need for my degree can be done THIS SEMESTER. You see, my college up in NY starts their semester at the very end of January. My tax refund doesn't come until February and ekeing out that extra (I think) 850 to take two classes has never happened. However, this year, I have a new Visa card and my thought is that I can sign up and pay, then pay off the card in February when that HUGE tax refund comes in. Yep, it's crazy, but I want the Technical Theatre degree to come from there. I could transfer the credits, but I don't want to do that. And the last two classes would be easy -Statistics and a social science.

Yet another EIOP, but I can't even think straight right now, since this is making me positively giddy. Off to call the admissions office in the morning.

Suzanne

Suzanne I say if you can pay it off in a month with the refund go for it!!!! It would be different if you had to finance it that way for awhile and have to pay the large finance charges on it but you can pay it off within a month or two at the most. If this would make you happy and you can transfer all your credits GO FOR IT GIRL!!!! I hope things straighten out for you at work. That was so not nice for your boss to say that to you about the overtime for inventory.

Yep Im up. I have been up every hour on the hour since I went to bed. This has GOT to stop. I cant live like this. I have tried being very very upbeat lately but in all reality Im in a very deep funk and very very miserable lately because these meds are causing some horrific physical problems and there is just nothing I can do until I can wean down. I have tried to hide my true feelings from everyone even at home. Everyone here at home thinks everything is hunky dory because I play the part. Physically and because of this emotionally I am one big horrible mess. I wish I could cry and make it feel better but it wont do a thing cept make me look uglier than I already look from the swelling. Im sorry. I just needed to get this off my chest to people who will understand that sometimes I cant be Mrs. Jolly Happy all the time. I can't let my kids see whats going on. I have to act for them.

I think Im gonna go try and lay back down and see if I can get some more sleep. I will probably be up reading again in an hour anyway.

HUGS TO ALL!!!!!

I don't have time to post much (you know .. the whole 'supposed to be working thing') but I will say Karen, come in here and vent as needed, girl! I'm sorry you're feeling so lousy. It must be really frustrating, too, because you have to stay with the medicine to get better but it's making you feel worse in the meantime! I'm sending extra, extra good thoughts your way. I hope you can get some good zzz's.

Gotta get back to it. I'm sending little wizard guy to keep an eye on you. :wizard:

Awwww thanks Caroline. I got about another hours sleep. Im getting kind of used to being up and down like this. I "think" my sugar is out of whack from the prednisone so it's causing me to wake like this for various reasons. Im going to call the doctor tomorrow (actually today) and see if there isn't "something" we can do for all these physicial problems until I can wean down or if maybe I can wean down a little faster. I can't post all that's going on with me physicially because it's just TMI. I'm willing to try anything just about now for all of this to just stop.

You really made me smile with my little wizard guy. Thanks so much for making my night!!! Your'e a special lady kiddo.

Well hey I accomplished one thing tonight. I got the placemats ironed and back on the table. Looks nicer in there now. Trying to find quiet things to do around here until I can get back to sleep. Coffee is all made. I will start on the stuff for din din around 5:30 if I don't fall back to sleep. I can at least get it prepped and then just put it on before I walk out the door to take the kids to school and me to work. Oh yeah I do have to do that today too.......work...... If I am as hyper there as I am now I should be fine all day. Thankfully nothing is planned for tonight so maybe I will crash out early.

I can't take anything to sleep because it makes me absolutely stupid....okay okay stupider the whole next day and I can't work like that. I'm really behind at work because of all this junk and I need to catch myself up.

40 Minutes left until my relief comes in! If you can, send some pixie dust at boss so he'll give me the night off! :teeth:

Have a good day everyone!

Sending tons of Pixie Dust and Prayers for you Caroline that your boss gives you the night off!!!

Whoa Boy I had forgotten how dramatic mornings are around here during school time. Geesh what a morning and I am in NO mood for it. Remember those little angel children of mine??? Well they decided to turn into devil fighting cranksters this morning. eeeeeeeeekkkkkkkkk!!!!!!!!!

Morning all....

Nancy...totally understand meal plans not matching. Todd and I are too totally different eaters. I love fruits and veggies...he loves red meat, cheese and chocolate.

Karen...you better be getting some sleep. Don't know how you are doing it. Hope the kids are out the door and you can get some sleep.

Caroline...good luck with getting the night off. Todd had planned on taking a night off at the end of the month when his mom comes to stay with us, but now he has to work:(.

TC...we will definitely have to get together while we are in Disney in June. We are only there 4 days, then off on a 3 day cruise.

SSB...hoping to finally meet you in person in June.

Suzanne...that would be great to finish your degree. Go for it!

Tara...can't wait to hear your results. I couldn't wait till Thursday to weigh in...I am down another pound for a total of 6. 9 more to go, I will be happy with 6 more. Glad you had a relaxing weekend.

Have a great week everyone!

Hrrmmm.... could be worth breaking this driving ban, perhaps.... haha!

Hope that everyone has a great Monday! :)

Morning all! Going to attempt to do the catch up post from yesterday that I lost!.

I had lots of issues getting on and staying on the DIS lately at home... even using the IP address didn't work on my laptop. This morning I had to re-logon when I quickly checked at home from my laptop, so something must have been really screwy for me trying to check in at home.

Caroline, I forgot this earlier, but good luck with all the work stuff! I hope that you get it all figured out and worked out! And thanks for that hug... a friend told me I do mush just fine, just that it's harder for me to talk/do it in the first place...
As for the camera talk... well, I have some undeveloped film that is about 4 years old now :rolleyes1 Shame on me! So dont' feel bad about your 1 year old stuff!

Karen, honestly we aren't very busy lately... might sound like it, but I get plenty of time to relax... kind of what I did yesterday (and went to bed early so I could catch up on sleep)

Kimmar, always glad to help out a little. And wow, our tree is still up... it's just too pretty to take down

Kristy, I am with you on hte slug thing. I true slug for me would be not doing anything at all. A shower doens't mean much as sometimes I hold off on those until I have finished some really grubby work around the house!
But, you sure didn't sound like a slug, and those pictures of Dakota are precious!!!

Suzanne  I do hope things look up for you soon. Glad to hear though, that things seem to be moving along well with the house and that you have such nice neighbor!

Liz, what color did you pick for your hair? Pics? :p

Nancy, I hope that Christin can get through today. So sorry that she missed them before! Glad that Dave made it home safely.

All this tanzanite talk really makes me want to go out and buy a new ring. I love that stone, but just don't own it!

Oh what is "Lush"? I'll google, but hadn't heard of them before.

Karen, that is amazing to spend so little on food. I am kind of like you with cuts of meat... but then again there are some things I get that I will not get an off brand for... just like an off brand of corn chips made me sick once, I am sometimes more cautious with what I buy.

Caroline, I loved your story on how you found us! Sounds like a great one. Mine's boring... I was the first to reply to the OP on the original thread. Not too exciting there ;)

JRKaren, had tons of trouble this weekend too getting the boards to work.

SSB, I almost missed church myself yesterday. Just was worn out due to some painkillers I took and if I had to drive, I wouldnt' have made it myself. You had a good comment to Karen though... highly agreed with that!

Pam... higher thread counts in general are definitely better. I admit though, I like to feel before I buy. I felt a 450 count sheet seet and thought it felt worse than my 200 I currently have. Some of it has to do with the cotton and other fabric used as well.

Nancy, you were asking for crock pot recipes for one... do you have any for just 2? I have a ton I have come across, but they feed 4-6 people... sure don't need *that* much food!

Kimmie, is Tom feeling better today? I hope so! Are y'all still going to that same church you found a short while ago?

Bethie, as I said to Kristy, a shower doesnt' mean you aren't a slug. There are several times I've showered but still sat around all day long :p

Kristy, Sasha is adorable!!!!!!

Psstt... JRKaren, we only publicly humiliate when y'all don't dance here on the thread ;)

Nancy, hope the snow wasn't too much for ya! And that BaB candy is so cute.

I admit when it comes to chocolate, most American brands are very much hit or miss with me. Lindt truffles are the only ones I like multiple flavors of. Even Ghiradelli is very hit or miss with the flavors (love dk chocolate usually, but dislike theirs). My favorite of all time came from Germany though... they had seriously some of the best chocolate I had ever tasted!!!!
We had some excellent chocolate we melted in with fresh milk almost literally straight from the cow... never had hot chocolate better than that in my life!

Kimmie, the last post I lost did make me cry

Sorry for the rest of you that lost posts as well... isn't it kind of disheartening when it does happen?

Tara, congrats on being the biggest slug!!!! But we all do need weekends like that now and then!

Caroline, I do hope you get tonight off!!!

Suzanne, so glad you are doing better. Good luck with the last two classes. I remember statistics being fairly easy (and I am not a number/math type person). I am sure you will do great!

Karen, have you tried taking some of the sleep pills at about 8-9 PM at night? I know when I am lost on sleep, I feel bad mentally & physically. Maybe that would help more than some of the meds even. I know if I take them early, I don't feel "drugged" the next day. Or do it on a weekend when you can be "stupid" Good luck getting sleep.

Amanda, sorry you were sick, but glad that you got a kick start on the dieting. I haven't been eating that great lately (nor excercising) so I am stuck at the same weight with about 10 more pounds to go to reach what I weighed my Junior year of HS. 5 more and I will be where I was at the end of my senior year. Right now I passed my goal (wanted to weigh what I did in college) so I am not pressed. I should behave mroe now though, but DQ was really calling my name last night :p

SSB, I say you break the driving ban, call a cab (or friend) or something... WDW really does heal people from what I've seen ;)

Well there's my catch up and then some. I hope you all have a great day! I'll check in later!
