So you'll wait and tell us privately. Looks like original Karen likes to pick and choose her weirdos ;)

Oohh boy! I will get on it soon, probably later tonight. I tried my "old" aol name and since I didn't keep their account, they won't let me use that name. So I'll pick something oh so creative.

Thanks Karen. It's nice to know I'm one of someone's favorite weirdos. LOL.

Karen

I was thinking of trying Trillion, but I don't know much about it other than it crosses all IM versions and allows chatting to all. Anyone ever hear of it? Trillian

Hi, everybody!! Remember me??!! Am back from a SUPER Busch Gardens meet, doing laundry and doing all the cleaning I put off all week! I have not had a chance to ketchup yet, but wanted to let ya'll know I've been thinking of you and praying for our FL Ya Yas with this new hurricane. Hope all are fairing well!

Had to laugh when we arrived at BG--all you pirate-lovers will be soooooo happy!!

Will ketchup on what ya'll have been doing all weekend and try to check in with yas later.

Lily, I use Trillian. It is super-easy to use. :) And makes it so easy to have all the chat programs in one.

Beth, glad you had a good time. :) Great pics. :)

Beth!!! I'm so sorry I didn't call you last night!!! By the time I finished doing what Jar wanted time was almost up. We tried to do the Hallowscreem Express but the line was practically out the front gate! We did do Mind over magic and it was a total waste of time. Yuck!!!

Glad ya'll like the pictures. I have only a few so I will try and get them posted here soon! I'm exhausted today. But I did go to Kmart and get Jar's and Ethan's rx and while I was waiting got some Christmas shopping done for Jar!! wooohhhoooo I've started!

Okay, gonna go rest for a bit. glad all are well!!

tara

ps. Liz that cake we tasted in your honor was most excellent!!

Took a nap unexpededly... feel like I could sleep all day :p

JRKaren, I am also Catholic, but I must be lucky... I'd say in my area there is a huge mix of ages. I do go to one on campus and obviously there there are ton of younger people in college there :) Our friends we hang with after range from our age to our parents' age (if not older). Kind of neat.

Lily, I have used Trillian before... and honestly it was more of a pain than it was worth for me. Very buggy and I had a heck of a time getting it to work right. When it didn't crash on me, it worked like a charm.... save chatting... that got a bit interesting, but doable. Oh the smilies didn't match up either so that made it kind of a pain.

Bethie, love all the pictures you took!!!!

Hi all:wave2:

Karen I am glad you made it through the hurricane ok. My family all seem to be ok, only minor damage. Will be without power for a while I guess. They were smart and bought genoraters after the last one.

Beth love the pictures from BG.

Tara the boys are growing soo fast. Tiggerlover took some great pictures of little Ethan.

Don't know anything about IM. Jack will not let me get it(guess he thinks it will mess up the computer). Wish I had it though.

Did yard work yesterday then movies. Today is laundry day. I am still waiting for the Doctors to call with my results. They always take their time:rolleyes:

Somebody nail my hands down before I post on the Autisim thread. I am SO MAD right now Im seeing purple!!!! What I would respond with would either get me deleted or banned.

p-nut Im glad to hear your family came out of this with only minimal damage. I wish they had no damage though. Very smart of them to get a generator after the last hurricane. It's something dh and I are considering saving up for.

Im saying prayers for good results from your tests and that they call you tomorrow.

Tina, I am so glad that your parents are okay. Good thing they bought a generator!! We were actually considering getting one after last summer... fortunately we haven't lost power for more than an hour this year (knock on wood)... at least that we are aware of (not sure about the day time).
I hope you hear from the doctor's soon! Hopefully the delay will mean good news for you :)
Oh and let us talk to Jack... we'll get you on IM soon enough ;) Honestly, I'd probably go stir crazy w/o mine (now that I've had it).

Karen, I read through that thread not too long ago... while some did disagree with each other (and fairly politely considering), I am not sure what upset you so much about it. Sorry that it did though.

Just finished up a half sandwich and soup from Panera... I love their stuff! Luis told me what his quarterly profit sharing (kind of like a bonus) was going to be... we can finally replace a lot of the savings we lost after he lost his job and we bought our house. We might also get some estimates for removing an icky evergreen from our front yard. I gotta say I feel so very blessed... this check alone will be about what he made in a year at the cruddy job he had after he was let go. Many would jump for joy, but right now it is a huge sigh of relief for us... means when the time comes, I can more readily move on from my job.

This is a quote from a post by the OP of that thread.

I'm not degrading ADD kids, because some of them are Bipolar and autistic with an ADD label, and others, so, I sympathise with you. Its just that we have created a society of lazy parents who never let the kids play outside, (its just not safe in some areas) never let them get any real exercise (Playstation dont count) and a society of drug crazed doctors who get financial kickbacks for the pushing of such. Never underestimate the power of money by pharmasudical (misspelled I'm sure) mega corps. Its not the kids with problems I have an issue with. Its the parents who expect the kids to behave like adults. Kids have to play, they have to develop their muscles, they NEED exercise. Some parents try to push their kids into THEIR busy schedule, never spend DAILY QUALITY TIME with their kids, never play with them, never give them exercise, and when the kids body is saying "HELP! I NEED EXERCISE!" The parent says "He Hyper. Drug him!!!" That is what I have a problem with; not children with a real physical or mental problem

I have two ADHD kids and this kind of GARBAGE upsets me.

:wave2:

Movie was good....made me jump a couple of times :)
Need to find the Twilight Zone it was based on sometime.

:moped:

Nancy what movie did you see?? Was it Forgotten? I heard that one was VERY scary!

Yes...Forgotten. Not really scary (at least I didn't think so).....jumps were more from crashes ;)

Karen, I could see why you'd be upset by that one.

Nancy, so glad you enjoyed the movie! Watching Bill Cosby myself at the moment :teeth:

Okay....got a minute now :)

Okay where are all these pictures? On the meet board? Need to pop over and take a look.
Great pictures Beth :rotfl:
Who are the other DISers? Is one Pin Wizard?

Tina....glad your family made it through alright.

Elaine...I love Bill Cosby....the chocolate cake routine is my favorite!! And I follow that guideline ;)

Okay...I need to do laundry and some mending  Have a good evening everyone.
