Wedding weight loss

hi ladies!

i just want to start off by saying i think this thread is AMAZING! i have been lurking it ever since it started and i had to join because i am also currently loosing weight for my wedding and i found this great exercise program!

its called 'slim in 6' and ive been using it for only 3 days now and all of my friends couldnt believe how toned i was starting to get (especially in the arms)! its kind of expensive (around $100) but i have never felt a workout like this before! if you want more info on it just let me know!

my wedding is next may (unfortunately not at wdw like i wanted but i am planning my disneymoon! :lovestruc) and i want to loose the 75 pounds i put on throughout 4 years of university!

the support i have seen in this thread is amazing and i hope you all keep it up! we can all do this!!

Just found this thread and am also trying to lose weight for my October 12, 2010 wedding. We just got engaged a couple weeks ago and I had to buy my dress off the rack - a US size 14. :sad2:

I carry all my extra weight around my stomach and in my chest so I know the 10 -15 lbs I want to lose will require alterations. The prob I have is that I was told my final alteration can only be 1 month out!! I want to be losing up to the day, if possible, but don't want to lose my dress!! :scared1: Have you guys heard the same?

And my tricks to losing weight - if I don't cook it, I don't eat it. That way I know exactly what I am eating and can control things like salt, oil, etc. Also - 1 glass of wine on the weekend - no other alcohol at all! It's hard when everyone wants to help you celebrate!

Wow! Your wedding is so close! Is your dress lace up at the back? That's a handy way of being able to take it in a little bit if needed, without having to get alterations done.

I rolled my ankle at the gym last night :sick: it wasn't that bad when I did it, but by the time I went to bed I was in possibly the worse pain I've ever been in :headache: it's a bit better today, but I really should stay off it. Depending on how I'm feeling this arvo it might just mean upper body work today :lmao:

Sorry to hear you hurt your ankle! Definitely stay off of it until it's all better, you don't want to aggravate it and make it worse! :sad2:
 
Well I got off my butt and went to a yoga class last night. It was my first time, wasnt sure what to expect but I really enjoyed it. It was a lot more intense than I thought it would be. I am a little sore today, but I love the feeling!! :banana: I live in a neighborhood with a big lake so I think I will start walking around the lake after work and hopefully work up enough strength and stamina to start running at least a little bit. I really really really hate running. Ive never really ran before so I guess I just dont know the feel of the benefits to use for motivation..maybe one day! Although Ive lost a little over a pound sofar. My official next weigh in isnt until Thursday though, so I will update you all then!

Oh and couch to 5k..do you do it on a treadmill, street, or what? Ive been hearing a lot about it lately and am curious.
 
Hi, guys. This is a great thread. I am recently engaged and I definitely could lose some lbs before the big day. We haven't set a date and part of that is because of weight. I look forward to getting tips here. :teacher:

BecBennett, I roll my ankles easily to and it can really hurt. Hope things are better.

My week ended today since I started on 7/21 and I was surprised to have lost 1.8 lbs. Yay!!! Thanks for all the encouragement!
 
Hi everyone!

I'm down 2 lbs this week! I haven't really started exercising or a diet yet, just watching what I eat and how much I eat. I hate being on a 'diet'...trying to just eat healthy foods and pay attention to how much of them I eat rather than counting calories. I need to find some motivation to exercise...:rotfl:

So no working out and it's going to be hard to find anything to eat thats healthy.... i will try my best though :confused3 lol

I really need some scales, I need to use my wii fit to weigh myself and it just seems to take so much effort! :lmao:
 
I am up 1lb this week :( I blame my work schedule (I've been working second shift this week) so I haven't had time to go to the gym, and I'm eating later at night because I don't get out of work until 10.

Good thing this ends next week- that way I can get back to my gym routine!

Congrats on the good work everyone! And Bec, I'm so sorry to hear about your ankle- mine roll regularly and they really mess me up when they do.
 
I'm going to weigh myself tomorrow. I'm afraid to step on the scale. :sad2: I've been working out all week but haven't been "dieting" so, hopefully if I didn't lose anything, I at least didn't gain anything.

Finally did the weigh in today, and... no change :lmao:

I haven't started any measurements though, so I might be just dropping sizes all over... Probably not, but I'm pretending... :laughing:
 
Frustrated I had one stressful day and had an ice cream sundae, oy vey! Next day, weighed the same, today went up a pound. Gotta refocus!
