lost 3 pounds this week!
) and i want to loose the 75 pounds i put on throughout 4 years of university!

Just found this thread and am also trying to lose weight for my October 12, 2010 wedding. We just got engaged a couple weeks ago and I had to buy my dress off the rack - a US size 14.
I carry all my extra weight around my stomach and in my chest so I know the 10 -15 lbs I want to lose will require alterations. The prob I have is that I was told my final alteration can only be 1 month out!! I want to be losing up to the day, if possible, but don't want to lose my dress!!Have you guys heard the same?
And my tricks to losing weight - if I don't cook it, I don't eat it. That way I know exactly what I am eating and can control things like salt, oil, etc. Also - 1 glass of wine on the weekend - no other alcohol at all! It's hard when everyone wants to help you celebrate!

Wow! Your wedding is so close! Is your dress lace up at the back? That's a handy way of being able to take it in a little bit if needed, without having to get alterations done.

I live in a neighborhood with a big lake so I think I will start walking around the lake after work and hopefully work up enough strength and stamina to start running at least a little bit. I really really really hate running. Ive never really ran before so I guess I just dont know the feel of the benefits to use for motivation..maybe one day! Although Ive lost a little over a pound sofar. My official next weigh in isnt until Thursday though, so I will update you all then!

My week ended today since I started on 7/21 and I was surprised to have lost 1.8 lbs. Yay!!! Thanks for all the encouragement!

I blame my work schedule (I've been working second shift this week) so I haven't had time to go to the gym, and I'm eating later at night because I don't get out of work until 10.
I've been working out all week but haven't been "dieting" so, hopefully if I didn't lose anything, I at least didn't gain anything.
