Hi Everyone! This is a special Shout Out to GINA!!! I decided to move over to Residence Inn from Spring Hill. I was getting nervous about not have a full fridge and kitchen. I hope we like it!! After reading your comments, I just felt it would suit our family better with 2 little ones!! So THANK YOU GINA:cutie:

Anyway, a few questions, Are there towels at the pool?? How about a laundry facility??
also, am I able to send them a package ahead of time of things i don't want to pack?? Like water shoes, and little surprises for the kids?

Do I need towels for SeaWorld or Aquatica??
Towels for anything?? LOL We are trying to pack light!!

Thanks again!!

Hi annabug!! :)

Alrighty, lets see if I can answer all your questions........

Towels at the hotel pool.....yes, there are :thumbsup2 .

Laundry facilities.....there is one large laundry room for the whole hotel on the first floor, adjacent to the front desk and breakfast room. If I remember correctly, there are 14 washers and 18 dryers. Cost for usage is $2 for each cycle on each machine. Anything larger than a small load will take more than one dry cycle (we found the dryers to be less than powerful). It usually ended up being $6 total per load for us, as we always needed one wash cycle and two rounds in the dryer. Purchase of detergent and fabric softener would be extra (or you are welcome to bring your own). I wouldn't plan to buy those from the hotel as prices are high at their little market area.

Shipping a parcel ahead of time.....we did the same thing (ordered from several different websites and had the delivery to the hotel)....not a problem at all :thumbsup2 . Front desk staff were very helpful and accommodating, and were pleased to hold a couple of the parcels (which arrived a few days before we did) until our arrival.

I wouldn't take towels to SeaWorld. The only thing you may need them for is if you get wet on Journey to Atlantis. But personally I would just leave that ride to your last activity of the day and forego having to lug towels through the park.

Towels are available for rent at Aquatica for $2 each (I think) if you don't want to bring yours. You will definitely need towels there one way or the other. If you happen to be renting a cabana for your Aquatica day (or days), the rental towels are provided for you as part of the cabana inclusions along with a locker and a supply of bottled water.

Let me know if theres anything I missed :goodvibes . I am sure you will enjoy the Residence Inn! ::yes::

Thanks Gina!!! Yes I'm now considering renting a standard cabana. I actually posted on another thread about it. Im not sure what to do because I am not sure what day we will be going. I don't want to waste the money if my kids or the weather aren't cooperating that day. We have unlimited admission to SW and AQ via the DC pass.
Oh….and please stop posting all of the wonderful pictures and great descriptions about your trips………Its making me add on all of the options!!!!! (just kidding:rotfl:) ;)

lol, sorry about that!!!! I will just sit here and be quiet until your travel date passes  (ha ha.....who am I kidding?....keeping quiet is not one of my finer talents :lmao:).

In all seriousness, I think the SW cabanas are a great value. With a supply of bottled water (Dasani), a full sized locker, rental towels, and a 20% merchandise discount all included in your cabana fee, it really makes the price of the cabana really, really reasonable (especially when compared to the Disney waterpark counterparts :scared1:).

If I remember correctly, the cabanas can be cancelled or rebooked up to 24 hours in advance (assuming an alternate date is available) if the weather forecast for your scheduled day looks unfavourable. With that in mind, we usually booked our Aquatica day at beginning of our vacation (no later than mid-trip) so if we needed to re-jig the plans because of a rain storm or cold weather, there was still time to make the adjustment. I have found the SW parks reps are super understanding and very willing to work with guests if something fouls up your carefully orchestrated plans....all you need to do is call them and see what magic they can work for you. :)

I am hoping that Aquatica soon posts its rates for cabanas for August....I would love to secure one for our trip too!!! We've had one on each of our three visits so far, so it just seems "wrong" not to get one this time  .

Just came back from our stay at the Residence inn SW. We enjoyed our stay. Took pool towels with us to Aquadica, without issue. We returned them to our room and the maid took them from us to be cleaned. We did not travel with towels either.

Have a great stay
