Thanks so much HMF for the great touring!! I lived in the Boston area for 17 years, so it was especially fun to re-visit. I worked at the New England Aquarium and loved the MFA, Legal Seafoods and shopping on Newbury Street. I especially miss the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum - there isn't anything quite like it anywhere else (http://gardnermuseum.org). I really enjoyed this trip down memory lane.

I am most definitely a work in progress!!!

This program is based on the fact that I am quite possibly the most immature eater EVER! In fact, I say often, that I prefer to eat like a 19 year old college BOY!

There isn't a mozzarella stick or buffalo wing that doesn't scream my name!

Hence, the weight loss support for me and other real people who love food as much as I do! So, please, enjoy your KFC, [insert: The WHOLE dessert tray please!] and if turn around, you just might see me standing right behind you on line!

Wow, this is making me feel very old. Did anyone bring any Ben Gay and Bayer Aspirin with them on this road trip? ...........(waiting the funny comment from HMF)

In preparation, though, I made all the guys at work accompany me to an incredible lunch stop today - and everyone had a wonderful time. They gave me the thumbs up for taking you guys when you get here!

I will try to keep up with the high level of touring after we cross the border.
Passports will be a must now, and DisGeeks, its "EH" according to Bob and Doug!

Ok next leg is to the border.....we will have virtually travelled 1,265 miles when we reach Niagara Falls!!!

Off to do some more research!!!

My town has....well....nothing!!!
I have to rely on Toronto proper, which is now known as the "GTA", the Greater Toronto Area (391 sq miles, pop 5 million)
I plan on posting a link to Google maps showing a Sat image to show just how big it is!
I havent "seen" TO in years, as I live in the outskirts (sort of) and rarely go "downtown" which is huge in itself.
The major highways are about all I see of it nowadays.

South Deerfield is home to Yankee Candle... and the Yankee Candle factory. It is overwhelming when you step through the doors and see how many different scents and candles there are: Yankee Candle

Okay I am late to joining the road trip- but this is such a neat idea. If you guys want to pass through Northern California I am in Folsom, California, just between Sacramento and Lake Tahoe! But it looks like I missed the deadline, so I can just read all the fun and share some snacks along the way

Yep, I'm at work. Took a couple of extra days off to take care of some things around the house.

That is going to be my plan for the weekend...
Well, that and trying to play tour guide.
Am going to try to get all the yard work done and start attacking the sheds as far as winter/summer changeover and clean up.

Believe it or not, I actually took time off from work to stay at home and WORK! I was really looking foward to coming back to work just for the break. I had grass to mow and a large tree to cut down. I also had to work on trying to get some things done with the pool so I can get it opened up before it gets too hot.

Oh to live down south.....
The ice just went out of the lake 2 weeks ago, swimming is not even in our vocabulary yet!!!
My grass is a wonderful dried brown, with a few "greening" spots, and there are little green nubs in the garden, mostly Trilliums and Crocuses.
Hate to leave you just as you are getting on-line, but have to get to sleep.
Spent way too much time on the tour, or so DW tells me.
I must say though, I have rekindled my own interest in where I live.
I seemed to have spent more time reading and exploring than I did figuring out where and what to do.
Daily life seems to take over too much of our time lately and there is never time to stop and smell the flowers, so to speak.

Living in the south does have its draw backs. I really can't remember the last time we had any significant amount of snow. My DD has seen it snow a couple of inches before, but my DS has only seen it snow enough to cover the ground. I don't think he's ever had the chance to make a snow man.

I agree with you about the Road Trip. Even though I've lived in Florence, AL for over 10 years, I'm learning some new stuff about the area I live in. I know I don't live in a big city with lots of buildings and museums but this area does have a unique history all of its own.
