WDW Dining App for iphones

This app was recommended in a thread over in the Theme Park section of DIS.

Since those of us that hang out here in the restaurant board tend to make ADRs waaaay in advance, pore over menus months in advance, and can know off the top of our head whether a restaurant accepts DDP, is this app worthwile?

OK, seriously, is the menu information up-to-date? That would make it worthwhile for me.

http://www.wdwinfo.com/disney-dining-plan.htm#restaurants2010 will tell you if a restaurant is on the dining plan. You can also do a search for a restaurant and it will tell you if it participates in the dining plan.

I haven't been since last August, but it was pretty up to date then. Didn't have the new 3 Chef's Menu choices at Les Chefs, but other than that I found all the same menus, but with a few price variations (yes, mostly all had increased some! ). I LOVE this app though because it's just something to be able to pore over when I'm sitting somewhere bored and click through restaurants I haven't been to and consider what I would eat, etc. Yes, I'm strange! Definitely think it's worth the buck (or is it two now?) for the amount of enjoyment I got out of it.

I agree with pp. I get enjoyment from all my Disney apps. I have 21 Disney apps on my iphone right now. I use them all the time. I use the dining app mainly for the quick service places. It helps me decide where to go. I will usually take a peek at the TS page right before an ADR.

bump! Still considering whether to get this app or not. We're not going to CS this trip (except for Tangierine Cafe and Captain Cook's), so I'm most interested in finding out if the TS menu information is accurate. I would be using it for advance planning, not for accessing info while at the parks.

Also, how does it get updated? Is it based on public info on allears, etc.?
