Michelle, I so understand about how much they cost, it's stupid isn't it?

Sorry about being stepped on by your steps, that just plain old sucks.

Remember I'm here you're twin and I love ya :flower3:

Hey Nan... My Royal Twin... (that explains alot... :rolleyes1 )

Which one of us gets to pick the hair color??? You go a bit more red than I do...

:confused3 What the heck is a carousel of progress?

What the heck are Lizzies?

And why the heck am I so grouchy today? Could be adjusting to the increased dose of one med, I don't know if it happens like that, but that's the only thing that's changed recently.

You need lizzies...

What in the world are Lizzies?

Lizzies are a cookie that my grandmother made... they are sort of fruitcake cookies but they are not LIKE fruitcake - hard and dry... We make them with whatever alcohol is laying around (usually Rum...) (NEVER tequila cause Mexican Lizzies just don't work...)

BUT.....

This year my mother put in Couvossier... All I can say is this plate of lizzies ain't gonna last long... :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Thank you... :worship: :worship: :worship:

I think Tyler has his first migraine. :sad2: When I was reading his bedtime book, he was rubbing one side of his head over one eye, right where I get mine (but I don't rub mine like that because I'm just used to it, of course). I could tell by looking at him that the light was hurting his eyes. I asked him what's up and he told me his head's been hurting all day but is really bad now. :guilty: So I gave him some Motrin and told him it will feel better after he sleeps. He's freaked out by how bad it hurts. I know I started having mine very young, but I think I was a couple years older than him.

I so very rarely give him Motrin or any over the counter stuff at all, I usually just keep stuff on hand until it expires, then throw it out and buy more just in case. He just never has the need for any of that stuff. But I was lucky to find one of those "just in case" bottles of Motrin that I'd recently bought because the old one just expired not too long ago. Good thing I had some!

Don't forget to mention it to the Dr... Glad you had stuff to help... hope he's feeling better...

Oh and Holly... not that it will help or not... for you... I just picked up my latest Rx for Imitrex and it went generic...

He's fine now. He told me about 10 minutes ago he couldn't sleep because it hurt to bed, but I told him that if he just lays there with his eyes closed, he'll fall asleep because the Motrin should start working soon, and that sleep will make his head stop hurting. He's asleep now.

Thanks, but I can't take Imitrex. It makes my heart race too much. After being on the preventative stuff for a few months, I now have been getting migraines much less often, and they don't last as long as they used to, and aren't as severe, so Excedrine will usually work now after the 2nd or 3rd dose. :thumbsup2 A couple days ago my Dr. increased the dose of the preventative stuff to hopefully reduce them even further. :thumbsup2 And since it's an anti-depressant, it will help my mood too! :dance3:

Oh my gosh, why the heck did Survivor start late?! I turned the TV on at 8, and it wasn't on, so I just figured that means it starts at 9 instead. NOPE, it suddenly started a few minutes ago in the middle of a challenge! Now I can't watch it until it's online tomorrow, because I can't start watching when I didn't see the beginning.

Anybody want to see a $500 obituary???? ......

I am not quoting the whole thing because I do not think we need to read it.

MICHELLE  I am so sorry. I understand what you said about others getting what you should have had. That stinks. People do not think of what their actions do to kids when they divorce and get a new family.

:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:
Remember what Nan and others have said. We are here for you.
We will be your CHOSEN FAMILY and we are HONORED
to have been chosen and to choose you back!
:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

Someone once said there are KIN and FAMILY.
Family you choose.
Kin you are stuck with. :sad2:

Wish we could give you real hugs today.

How is the ice?

PS: why is it a $500 obituary?
.

Hey Jan...

Thanks for all the kind works and hugs...

It's $5 a word... You know I took journalism in college... I could make a mint off of writing these...

But in MY paper The Gazzette... they often put photos... My mom thinks it's funny that it is usually pictures from long ago... like the person is 80 and they put in their high school picture... I told mom that I'm doing that for her... ;)

In a way I like those old pictures as it shows who they were. I have seen some that had a High School picture and a current one. That is nice.

I have a picture of my Mom from 2001 that I want to use. She is still here but has Alzheimers so her facial expressions are not as animated as they used to be.

Nope, I don't think it's related at all. Migraines are hereditary. I think there's nothing else to it. I was only a couple years older than he is now when I started getting them. It just sucks because I recognize the look, and know how awful it feels. I've read that often when kids have them, once they hit puberty they can go away because of the hormones changing. Unfortunately, that didn't happen to me, but I can hope for that for him.

The good thing about it is that you recognized his look and knew what to do and what to tell him. I would have no clue.

Think it is a reasonable thing to tell the MDs?

I agree with you, and will hope that Tyler is one of the people who outgrow the migraines.

How are you feeling now?

:banana:Thanks for the Christmas card! :santa:

I decorated skimpily this year. I put a wreath with Disney Character heads on it on the door of the condo. I got out a box of things we have taken to Disney World when we have been there for Christmas a couple times so there are two strings of lights with Disney characters covering the bulbs draped around the condo, a tiny tree, some Mickey and Minnie statues and stockings. That is it. We did not want to have a lot to put away after being gone for the bulk of the holiday week to see our kids.

Sophie is due to arrive by Cesarean section on Tuesday. There are a couple complications so surgery is the wisest course. Prayers are appreciated.

I'll mention it if it continues to happen, but won't if it ends up being a one-time thing. I think if it were related to one of the meds, it would have happened long ago when we first started. It could be same as mine was, weather related. I usually get one when there's a big weather change. We had a huge change from 20sF up to almost 50F right now, so that's most likely what caused mine and could be the same with him. Mine is gone except for a twinge now and then. I really think the preventative stuff is doing it's job because my migraines used to last a couple days, now it's almost never even a whole day. :thumbsup2

Jan, your Christmas decorations sound just right! :goodvibes

Prayers certainly headed Sophie's way. Please keep us posted on both her and mom on Tuesday. :grouphug:

Well, I'm headed to bed. Our office Christmas luncheon is tomorrow from 12:30-2:30. It's good food, nice place, but I don't enjoy sitting around the table with lawyers. OH well, I do enjoy getting to leave work early, so I can deal with it! ;) Well, everybody else has to go back to work, but by the time we get back to the office, I'd have to leave 15 minutes later to go pick Tyler up from school, so I'm not going back.

Now this is MY kind of wreath...

nice :thumbsup2 I think that is my friend Margarita ::yes::

sorry to hear of tyler's headache. wil gets them too. he has had them for as long as I can remember. I think they are migraines too. we use motrin all the time and he goes to bed for them. I have had them since I was very young too, so did my mom. I lost them all together during pregnancy, it was great, but 2 days after Wilson was born I had my worst one ever. oh well he was worth birthing him :rotfl2:

Yup, I was completely migraine free during pregnancy too. My doctors told me that's what usually happens with us migraine folks because of the hormones. I didn't have one until about 3 or 4 months after having him, which strangely, is about when I gained all my weight too.

Twins do not have to use the same hair color.

Why??? You want to be able to tell us apart???

Ok Nan... which one of us gets green and which one of us is blue???

Can you share the recipe?

As soon as I make my way down and rummage through the closet for where my mom put the recipe book... no prob!!!

Good idea! :thumbsup2
.

Thanks... for whatever... :goodvibes
