Well, my head is still pounding, so we're skipping church today. I'm so tired, I can't even think straight. I have to start remembering to go to bed early on Saturday nights because for some reason lately, Tyler has been getting up at 5am on Sundays. He climbs in my bed and tries to lay there waiting for daylight so he can wake me up, BUT he tosses and turns and hums and taps on the wall, etc. :headache: So then I have to tell him to GET OUT OF MY ROOM, I'm grumpy, he gets grumpy because I'm grumbling, etc. I'm NOT a morning person and don't want to get up before daylight. He needs to learn that if he wants to get up before dawn, FINE, just stay in his room.

Well, I'm about to fall asleep sitting up, so I'm off to try to sleep more. :headache: I'm such a grump when I get woken before I'm ready.

Holly,

I hope you're feeling better.

Morning kids.....I'm up at the crack of dawn. Looks like there will be a mid=morning nap later on!

Ian, hope your manager shows up at the earlier meeting. I always hated the meetings (or days) when the group just sat there like a lump. Wish I could be there to 'whip your audience into a frenzy'! :lmao:

I survived another year's observation. Thankfully it went well.

I asked as usual, "Anybody have a challenge this week?" They just sat there staring at me. So I said, "Nobody leaves the joint until one of you spits up a challenge."

That sort got things going. It turned out to be a very lively meeting and my review went quite well. She thinks I run great meetings.

I get officially observed and coached twice a year. Once by the regional trainer and once by the territory manager. It is supposed to be a surprise. I was forewarned this year.

On another note, Sukie and I are actually leaving the house today. We are going down to State Street (that great street) to go to Marshall Fields, er I mean Macy's (yuck) and to the big German Christmas Market near city hall..

I wonder if, Blagojevich has a stall and whether I can buy a Senate seat? Do you think he sells Senate end tables and maybe a nice Senate cocktail table to go along with the seat.

:sad2: :sad2:  :sad2: :sad2:

Glad to hear your 'observation' went well!

I got all the 'Christmas' stuff done for work. Packaged the Banfi and Dove Dark Chocolates so you can't tell it's a booze gift. This is for the Department grab bag we'll do on Tuesday night. Wonder if this gift will get 'stolen' a time or two????

Wrapped and assembled the "Desk Top Survival Kit" stockings for the other assistants. They turned out pretty cute. The stockings are a tapastry fabric of poinsettias and I have an artificial poinsettia sticking out the top. Contents: tissues, nail clipper, emeryboard, chap stick, Tide stick, Chickletts, hand sanitizer, chocolates, a photo frame and mini bottle of Jack Daniels! All purchased at the dollar store...except for the Jack.

Now if I only knew what Peg and Jose wanted! :confused3

I hope your head feels better now! Mine still hurts. OH well, it will go away probably when I go to bed tonight.

Keith was singing? Was it a Christmas event?

Good job on your little lottery win!

Holly,

I hope you're feeling better.
We both napped on and off today, so I'm not as grumpy. :thumbsup2 It's 4pm and we're both still in our pajamas! ;) We just did our outside decorations. I'm going to take a quick shower, then we're going to go out and look at Christmas lights in neighborhoods, just to get out of the house for a bit.

Bon Jour Tout le Monde (et Nan)!

Yuck! Yuck! Yuck!

I did not want to get out of bed this morning. I had at last this week achieved the maximum cozy factor, but, I had to get my butt out of bed to go to work (WW) today.

I had a heads up warning yesterday from my receptionist that our "boss" is coming to observer a meeting today. This is my WW manager.

What fresh hell is this? I am not particularly warm to this week's topic. With my luck, she'll come to my 11AM meeting. The one where everyone stares at me and says nothing. Unlike my 8AM meeting where everyone talks and are very interactive.

You can hear the crickets and see the tumble weeds blow past in my 11AM meeting.

Yuck!

On another note, I had started to settle in to watch "It's a Wonderful Life" on NBC last night, when I saw the title come up "The running time of this film has been altered to fit with <something something>"

I ended up turning it off. They edited "It's a Wonderful Life" so that they could fit in more commercials?

I'll give it a pass this year. It will probably appear on a satellite channel unaltered. I'll watch it then.

I started to watch it too and at the first commercial, changed over to something else... told myself I have it on DVD and besides... I know how it ends... Zuzu's petals and all... ;)

Anybody want to see a $500 obituary???? My sister wrote it. I at least would have used a few adjectives... (and yes... mom really is listed...)

Vinnie has been a huge part of my life and is difficult to imagine that he is really gone. I will never forget him teaching me to drive and all of those pratical jokes with his loud speaker in his car picking me and my friends up at Tysons Corner in High School! I think his favorite memory would be New Years of 2000 at Leigh Ann's house when he got his big kiss and hug and I told him I love him! He always knew I did but boy did he love to tease me! I will miss him... He was a great Grandpa to Martina and Clayton and they are just crushed that he is gone. We love you Vinnie!

& on a much lighter and nicer note...

I had the most wonderful call this morning from a very loving group...

I awoke to answer my cell (which sings "When you wish Upon a Star") to a very nice British Accent...

It was Marilyn!!!!

Then I got to talk to Cherie...

And then to Monica....

(Nan called the other night and Ian has been cheeering me up by email...)

It has been so nice to talk to my friends and to have all of your thoughts with me as I go through all of this.

I know that these only look like hugging smilies, but to me this week, they have felt like you were all here with me and I love you all for it...

I thank you from the bottom of my very large heart.... :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

Oh and Ian...

I'm still singing "Bright big Beautiful tomorrow" in my head... ;) ;) ;)

The baking of the Christmas cookies has begun...

The scent of Lizzies baking is wafting through the house...

And mom's got Love's Unlimited Orchestra, 5th Dimension and Tom Jones blaring on the Bose...

I'm going down for some cookies... :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Hi from MCO!

I had a wonderful breakfast with Monica, Ann, Albert, John and Marilyn this morning. It was like no time at all had passed once we were all together and we (or maybe it should be I) talked a mile a minute. I also got to have a nice chat with Michelle on the phone.

I bumped into Ann and Albert again last night at DHS, but managed to successfully avoid John and Marilyn the entire time!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: (that's a joke--our paths apparently crossed several times but we never saw each other).

I've had a wonderful time and am already planning my next trip--I'm coming alone so I can see all the things I missed because of being with other people! ;) I saw hardly any of Epcot, and I could spend a lot more time at AK. I'd also love to explore all the details in MK and there were many parts of HS I never got to. But on the other hand I saw and did A LOT, don't get me wrong.

So right now I'm feeling the tiredness set in and I'm really looking forward to getting home, getting back in my little routine and keeping up better with the boards.

Please forgive me posting this breezy little note and appearing to ignore the difficulties that some of you are going through. I know of some, but others I'm sure I'm not aware of since my reading of our thread has been very spotty at best.

I love you all :lovestruc and look forward to being a regular part of "the gang" again!

The "pay" is the satisfaction :thumbsup2 but you knew that!

:grouphug: from all the people who appreciate what you did and all those who benefited and will never know.

What the heck are Lizzies?

And why the heck am I so grouchy today? Could be adjusting to the increased dose of one med, I don't know if it happens like that, but that's the only thing that's changed recently.

What in the world are Lizzies?

I think Tyler has his first migraine. :sad2: When I was reading his bedtime book, he was rubbing one side of his head over one eye, right where I get mine (but I don't rub mine like that because I'm just used to it, of course). I could tell by looking at him that the light was hurting his eyes. I asked him what's up and he told me his head's been hurting all day but is really bad now. :guilty: So I gave him some Motrin and told him it will feel better after he sleeps. He's freaked out by how bad it hurts. I know I started having mine very young, but I think I was a couple years older than him.

I so very rarely give him Motrin or any over the counter stuff at all, I usually just keep stuff on hand until it expires, then throw it out and buy more just in case. He just never has the need for any of that stuff. But I was lucky to find one of those "just in case" bottles of Motrin that I'd recently bought because the old one just expired not too long ago. Good thing I had some!
