La la la la la la laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.................

The snow stopped here. We got about four inches. Now everybody say a prayer that the kid doesn't smack the truck into anything while plowing us out. John got a new (used) truck because the beast had lots of mechanical issues. Our new truck is ready to go, but John bought a stick shift. He said he can't drive it because it kills his knees. So the kid is going to have to plow us out. Wish us good luck with that. Next thing I know, he'll be going sideways down our driveway or get the truck stuck in a ditch off the side of the driveway.....just our luck with him at the wheel. Keeping everything crossed that it doesn't happen.

I can drive a shift...:cool1::cool1::cool1:

We only got an inch... :confused3

Can you get here right away? hahaha!!!

That's coz you got lots of snow already this year. This was our first snowfall. We only got a light dusting once before and that's it for this year so far.

I think I'm up to about 5 inches of snow total so far... :lmao::lmao::lmao:

& I learned to drive a shift when I bought a car with one...:rolleyes1

Five inches so far, not so bad.

I learned to drive a stick when I bought my yellow VW bug....on the hills of St. George Staten Island, NY. I stalled and bucked a lot in the beginning, but I learned very quickly sitting in bumper to bumper traffic on the LIE going out to see mom every weekend in the summer. I got really good at it....going in and out of first for 60 miles and never getting to 2nd gear until I got off the expressway. The good old days!!

Sounds familiar--our bug drove from Kings Park to Brooklyn and back a couple times but I had learned on it years earlier in Upstate NY. I usually took the LIRR and Flatbush-Atlantic subway.

We will be at Doubletree too--Tom had points. (Used points for our flights too.). May not be available for dinner as we are considering an afternoon at DL or meeting up with friends from 2007 Eastern Caribbean and 2011 Alaska, but keep us posted on plans.

I think the bug was an easy car to learn how to drive a stick. It was very forgiving.

OH GOOD....I'm glad you're at Doubletree too. We'll see you in passing at least. I will definitely keep you posted on all of our plans, just in case you want to stop by and say hello.

What time are you going to the port? Are you Platinum or do you have an assigned time? I don't know when we'll go. We're Platinum. I guess I'll have to call and see what time they open the doors for us.

Calling all thieves who have done the Mexican Riveria cruises.....what time does the LA terminal open???
