Call him and tell him to drink 4 oz of lemon juice and 3 oz of olive oil... Mix them together... it's sort of gross - follow up with a full glass of cold water... (I used seltzer with lime however to cut the oily feeling in my mouth...) I've done it twice and it works... not sure if it will be in time... but I'd tell him to try...

I'll tell him. He had his gallbladder out last year so he has felt all the horrible pains in life.....except labor and a heart attack!

And we don't wish any more on him!!!

Tell him to give it a try... it's not the greatest going down and he may feel a little "full" like he ate a big meal for an hour or two... but it should pass.. hopefully along with the stone...

It can't be that big - or else the Dr. would have put him in the hospital...

Also if he does make the trip... tell him to pack bottles of lime juice - not the little lime looking thing in the produce dept... go get the bottles in the juice section... 2 tblsp in a glass of water 3 times a day will help keep them away... (and yes - he can add sugar...)

I stopped drinking my lime with seltzer 2 weeks ago and this is where it got me...

Good afternoon all, Well, I'm back from the wedding. It took me two days in between running around like crazy to get caught up on the thread with all of you wacky kids. I'm gone for a few days and 3 of you are sick with nasty illness, one of you got bashed up in a car accident, one is standing at a cash register, several are hating their jobs, and one is reliving the 9 pound birth -- ouch, ouch and more ouch!!!

I spent the last 2 days since returning running around here for another round of company visiting California. But then they had to cancel the trip at the last minute, so I've been trying to get rid of the 12 tickets I had to the Red Sox v. Angels games UGH!

Today we went to the American Girl Store in Los Angeles. Zoe earned enough money to get the Julie Doll and the book series to go with it. She was so excited that she just kept saying, "This is so awesome, giggle, giggle!"

We're exhausted! The wedding went smooth enough to get through it... not my favorite group of people to travel so far and take so much time off work. Zoe loved every minute of the whole adventure. I did however have an outstanding flying experience. I flew Virgin America and thought it was terrific. I watched Jumper thanks to Steph's mention here on the thread - lots of fun. And I finally watched The Other Boleyn Girl -- man, I don't know how it was received by people who didn't read the book, but I felt like half the story and characters were missing.

We went to the Museum of History Smithsonian on Friday... had to go since we are so in love with the movie Night at the Museum. Every person Zoe asked if the animals come alive at night said "Yes!" So, that was a riot.

I'm sure he'd love to play any part you give him. ::yes::

The other night he stood in for Winthrope (sp) the kid with the lisp in the Music Man. The actor was out during blocking and normally when this happens the director will give away that actors blocked scene (if it doesn't conflict with the plot) Wilson was convinced that he would be reading the line for him, so sad. It was a critical line so of course he couldn't read it for him. It was pretty funny actually, we had a good long time of talk explaining to him that he couldn't just be that person for a line or two as the audience wouldn't be able to follow. The director was much impressed that in the one day Wilson had memorized the line and was ready to read it. I suspect this is the begining of a long line of Wilson enjoying the stage.

That is so cute.

My friend said that we are Sex in the City - four ladies to meet up:rotfl:

I have not see the film yet and hopeful to see it soon!!

Have a nice day. (back still sore, patience until tom)

Scottishwee35

I haven't seen it either, but now I'll picture you in the movie!!

Gaylean, I haven't uttered the words "I'm bored" in 14 years... next time you're bored come down here and I'll put you to work! You'll have fun.

Ian, I will let you know when it arrives!

Holly, Glad you liked them.

:grouphug: Glad to be home.

didn't ya love it ::yes:: Molly has Julie too, (well, okay she holds Julie for her mama, since she is the girl of my exact youth, except no divorced parents, or rabbit or living in SF, well she is kinda close)

Love the Museum story, a must do when you visit there ::yes::

Glad you made it home in safely.

I have been in the American Girl Store in Chicago (their flagship store) at Christmas. I'm still trying to get over the trauma.

Counseling and accoutriment buying assistance is needed to get over that trauma...

Jackie, are you OK?

Pretty much. See my new DO tomorrow and go over the x-rays and ultrasound. I don't think anything is amiss...just being careful.

Some people just have too much time on their hands! :lmao:

ok....I'm outta here....I get to sleep in tomorrow!! Don't have to leave for the doctor till 9:30.

...later kids...

.

I have a great and fun story to tell you guys!!

Everyone knows I collect Coke Rewards (almost have 11,000 now!!). They started a new instant win game having to do with Sprite. I started playing last week. You can play 10 times a day. If you win, you get a $100 virtual Visa Card (they don't send you anything...you get a code to get a credit card # you can use online).....well, yesterday I WON $100!

So I was playing today and I won a Second $100!! I couldn't believe it!!

You can win up to twice!!

My kids are really laughing at me!! I am laughing all the way to the bank!:rotfl: :surfweb: :surfweb: :rotfl:

I feel happy that you would do that for me but it was 8 years ago. I'm not sure the staff is still the same :lmao: If it were up to me the nurse would be fired. I forgot to tell you the story before she did all this stuff.

I walked into labor and delivery and told this nurse that the doctor sent me to get checked because I had been feeling weird all day and we were worried we were in labor. She took a look at me and said "There is no way you are in labor". She set me up in a room anyway. The doctor came to check me and I was dilated to 8. So the doctor calls the nurse and tells her. She opens the door as hard as she can and says "I can't believe this". I guess she was mad because she was suppose to go home and she figured I would be in labor for a while since it was my first baby. I had already been in labor for hours but didn't feel any pain, YET. Then I told her I wanted my mom and Jon in the room and she came in to the delivery room with just Jon. I asked her why and she said "there were two women out there and I didn't know which one was your mom". I guess she didn't want to ask them OR Jon :confused3

That is just terrible. It was not quality care by any measure. I am so sorry you had to go through all that.

Women have a better experience if they are supported and encouraged than if they are made to feel like they are a burden or an inconvenience. Drives me nuts.

Then, after they make the birthing experience unpleasant, they wonder why women go home and have post partum depression. After being made to feel incompetent, uncapable, inconsiderate and in the way, they expect women to have wonderful feelings and assurance that they can care for the infant.....:headache:

told you--my soap box.
ok, I will get down now......

Jan :earsgirl:

Don't ya HATE that. I have had that same exact experience within my career. Someday I will tell my story, but it ended up with a 3 year lawsuit within the EEOC for being terminated because I was pregnant with Daniel.

Keep checking here!! We will cheer you up!! :goodvibes :goodvibes

Everyone here has been very kind. I just don't want to sound like a whiner or complainer. I have an awful lot to be thankful for, and I do not want to appear to be just a "whiner". It is also different posting here than having a conversation. Regardless, thanks everyone.

Great to see you John! Glad to hear Manuel is improving, but sorry about Dad getting worse. Sorry you missed your beach vacation.

Oh, don't call wearing pink a nightmare, you looked very pretty! :rotfl2: ;)

Everyone else probably knows Holly, but how is Tyler doing these days? Feel free to PM me if it is repeating stuff.

Let's keep in touch and book together.....I, for one, would love to see that nightmare again :lmao:

I bet you would . . .

John... I swear in my pain meds induced sleep... I had a dream about you in Bedazzled Spanx... ;)

Must be strong meds . . .

I have been in the American Girl Store in Chicago (their flagship store) at Christmas. I'm still trying to get over the trauma.

I survived the AG store in NYC - even the lunch with the dolls at the table. I checked my testosterone at the door.

It's really nice to talk to many of you again. I missed being here, and it is nice to see that many of you are still here and keeping up.

Sorry, I have nothing exciting to say today! ;)

Summer is finally here. It was 90 yesterday, 90 today, and supposed to be 91 tomorrow and the next day. I know that's nothing for you, but here, people pass out. The air conditioner wasn't working well at school yesterday when I picked up Tyler and you should have seen those sweaty, pale kids! I was there for 5 min and wanted to pass out. I don't handle heat well.....never did. Even passed out a few times in my life from heat.

The neck cooler I made
{like Michelle and her Mom made for their Fish Extender gift (oopse--that Planky made :rotfl2: )}
is getting a lot of use and helping me feel better!

Thanks Michelle and Mama. Oh yes, AND PLANKY! :rotfl:
Jan :earsgirl:

no I don't think so, but I do know lots of local churchs have done it around here this year. might just google it.

Yup ::yes:: I opened the page and will check it later! THANKS. :)

She'll love that Molly has one too.... I just told her and she fainted on the floor very dramatically.

Yes, Jonathan carried Julie all over the store and the grove shopping mall and will attend the lunch too on the next visit.

You are good at this. :thumbsup2 I can barely read from my ras, my connection is soooooo slow.....that's why I want to switch to the iphone.

I am SO getting used to the Raspberry that I do not want to try something else now. PLEASE do not confuse the old lady!

I do get good signals around Indianapolis and have figured out a way to hold it in my hand and type fairly quickly. I do have to proofread before I post however as some of the typos change the meaning or look like Mayan glyphs not real words.
