Sorry Jan, didn't mean to sound off with the post!! I don't know where John got the original from, but it is a great picture. I really love it.

I have been wondering about deb. sometimes if she is feeling poorly or down she reads but doesn't post, so perhaps she will see this and let us know how she is.

No offense taken. I did not know the history and only posted part of the story. You got the REEEESSST OF THE STOOOOORY out !

(Do you know Paul Harvey? A radio commentator who loves to tell about people we know but tells things from their past that helped make them be the person they are now, but that they have not told as that would be tooting their own horns.)

The Iphone store had a line out front of about 30 people all holding fancy umbrellas to shade themselves from the hot sun while they waited their turn to get into the store.

Deb: Are you doing OK? We miss you.

Long lines in Indianapolis too. I do not remember seeing umbrellas in the news reports but do remember hearing that the supply ran out before the line did.

I try to do that alot... :rolleyes1

Better but not gone... this one took me down...

I'm even missing the Pig racing at the Saratoga County Fair...:headache:

 So sorry this has made you miss the races! Poor Michelle!! :flower3:

Jan :earsgirl:

Just got an offer on my mom's house. Not a very good offer, so we are countering. I hope it sells, but don't have much hope.

:cool1: Good luck with it!! :thumbsup2

I am feeling stupid here--why is it for sale? :confused3

Jan :earsgirl:

The neck cooler I made
{like Michelle and her Mom made for their Fish Extender gift (oopse--that Planky made :rotfl2: )}
is getting a lot of use and helping me feel better!

Thanks Michelle and Mama. Oh yes, AND PLANKY! :rotfl:
Jan :earsgirl:

I am taking that neck cooler with me to Castaway Cay next week! Thanks again!

I'd sell you mine.

21 foot long Winebago RIALTA, gets 16 miles to the gallon, can climb mountains, has a trailer hitch to pull the race car trailer. It has a double bed, seat belts for three, little refrigerator, two burner gas stove, microwave, bathroom almost as big as a catgegory 11 on the MAGIC. It can park in a normal parking space at a shopping center and handles really well. Feels like you are driving the family van or SUV not a truck. We love it, but we only used it two weekends last year. It needs a home with someone who will not just love it but also use it.

Anyone interested?

Jan

Wow, Jan -- I should have searched the Disboards. Who knew there would be a Rialta for sale here? :confused3

We just completed a 4000 mile roadtrip across the western states with my folks in their Rialta. Covered Yellowstone, Zion and Rocky Mountain National Parks along with with Mt. Rushmore, Homestead Crater and few other wonders. (It was like taking a "land cruise!") It was a great trip and the Rialta proved to be an exceptional travel vehicle ... even at 12,000 ft crossing the Rockies.

We were so impressed by the vehicle that we started looking for our own. Never thought to search Disboards! We ended up buying a LeSharo with converted Chrysler engine and tranny instead. We pick it up the first weekend in August and will drive it home from Seattle area -- can't wait!

Of course that leaves me having to sell our 32' class A. Anyone interested? :rotfl:

Hope you have a great time with your LaSharo! :thumbsup2

Our Rialta unfortunately it is still not sold.
I don't think we are supposed to use the DIS to sell things. But the post fit in the conversation back then when Nan was looking for accomodations at go-cart races her son competes in. They made other arrangements.

I didn't ask if you were :snooty: :lmao: Actually I think she used the word smartie so I guess that is a better term.

Ahh...how I miss the friendly banter back and forth...

This summer has a weird feeling to it...not sure if it is living with the smoke or not flying anywhere. I can't remember the last summer I didn't make a trip somewhere. I just purchased one of those Sheraton Hawaii specials (where they hope you fall in love with the resort and buy into it). You don't need to attend any timeshare presentation...itis $699 for 5 nights, $185 towards rental car, and $100 hotel credit. Not bad! I have 15 months to use it...maybe next summer.

I have been having such a hard time getting back into the groove of work. I adored spending all that time with my family...and now I just get them from 6pm-7am. I think I need another vacation! Maybe we should go to hawaii now - except the airfare is crazy!!!

Holly, did you get the USB thing and did the movies work?

You just miss us in general and....of course the candy cigarettes!

That is just terrible. It was not quality care by any measure. I am so sorry you had to go through all that.

Women have a better experience if they are supported and encouraged than if they are made to feel like they are a burden or an inconvenience. Drives me nuts.

Then, after they make the birthing experience unpleasant, they wonder why women go home and have post partum depression. After being made to feel incompetent, uncapable, inconsiderate and in the way, they expect women to have wonderful feelings and assurance that they can care for the infant.....:headache:

told you--my soap box.
ok, I will get down now......

Jan :earsgirl:

I did have depression but I thought it was because I had to think about someone besides myself.......but your idea makes me look better!
