Oh, I hadn't heard of the recent fires. I hope and pray they are under control before anyone is hurt or houses damaged, particularly our friends there.

I Have Called In the Big Guns

OK, I was having a melt-down trying to organize the list for the get together in California in September (A meet up and wedding celebration).

So, Nan has graciously offered to take over the planning. She'll be better at it than I will too.

I feel so relieved. Now I can focus on our attire for the day of the wedding.

I have some interesting plans.

K - OMG Weekie Wachee!! I haven't been there in years...also Buccaneer Bay used to be two slides and a rope swing! A cool place to visit...it would be a drive from here about 2 hours...It's in Spring Hill.

Nan --- wanna come pick up your baby? She is driving me nuts wanting a cupcake every two seconds!

Hey don't offer me that baby unless you mean it. And I'd just feed her the cupcakes....because eventually I'd give her back to you

The phnomenon hit me in the grocery store the other day, but it wasn't anyone I "knew" it was just why isn't that lady turning around and talking to me like she should be since I know her.

It is our 39th wedding anniversary today. Can you believe that? Almost 2 life sentences.

Can't celebrate as it is Molly's Christening, but we are at that age and generation that it doesn't matter.

However, I did get some gorgeous flowers.

Marilyn, I'd say that having your granddaughter Christened on your 39th anniversary is a great celebration You will have that date to share and I'm sure for her it will always be extra special. Congrats to you & John and little Molly

When Wendy's had their promo to earn free flights on Airtran we were eating there for lunch and dinner and driving through for drinks during the day. At night my dh would go down and they would let him go through the garbage. We earned 8 free round trip tickets in a matter of 6 weeks.

Lisa do you need more codes? When is the contest over?

Hi Lisa, sounds like you stayed out of the rain. So did we. We got really lucky and found a parking space one block off the boardwalk down the main street in town. We were on a side road.....so we walked to the corner and sat on a bench and waited. We looked for you but never saw you. The fireworks were beautiful once they went off. We stayed for the whole show and then hit the car before the heavens opened up. We were so lucky.

Today is kind of a lazy day......just doing breakfast and showers liesurely in the room. Then we'll go out and see our land and Georgetown and maybe go back to Bethany Beach. If we make it out that way, we'll stop by and see if you're there to say hello. Hope you're having a fun fourth weekend.

Don and the girls just left to go home. Daniel, my mom and I are still here. We are going to the Outlets tomorrow to shop for his apartment. It rained on and off here and it was a great day to clean the house. I always clean in the spring after I open the house, with the cruise we went on, I did not make it here much in the spring....so the girls and I cleaned like crazy today!! The house looks great!!!

On Wednesday, Daniel and 8 of his friends (both girls and guys) are coming back.....not sure why I bothered to clean before that !!

yes you can do the Happy Dance any day you wish. The requirements are that you just do it.

Paul cleaned out our wine rack and we have 3 bottles of cab to start with that he wants to toss out because they are really old. One is from 1982, it was a good year, the year we graduated high school. I bought it from the winery when I was in college, must have been in 1986 or so....I've told him we should make sangria rather than toss it out. Any one got any good recipes for sangria?
