Booking The Beak & Barrel on Aug. 14th

Yes, you’re right. You can have an ADR til park closing, 6pm. But you can not stay in the park for an ADR during the party, which starts at 7. The poster asked about ADRs during the party & if they were only bookable by people with a party ticket.
As long as you check in before park close, you can be in the park as long as it takes you to complete your meal, even if that's after 7. But of course, with B&B having a 45 minute time limit, you shouldn't be there after 7. But if it were something like Skipper Canteen or something, it would be fine. Last year, we left the restaurant after 7 and were walking down Main Street while the party was going on.

It was in the DVC group I'm in as well, it's the actual CM chat where the CM stated it was postponed and the "...plan is to open the availability tomorrow morning..."
Ohh wow - I just called in to wdw dine, got right in, no wait the cast member confirmed no bookings were made for the beak & barrel as of now. She could not confirm that it was going to be postponed until tomorrow and suggested I keep trying and to also keep calling in.

Which DVC group, DVCFan by chance?

Yes, it was DVCFan but started to spread to many more. You know how FB can go off...

When I went back to my feed it was gone so I was also wondering which it was 🤣. It was likely DVC Fan

But in your scenario, your ADR is not booked during the party. It is booked before the 7 pm party start time. You can not check in for a 7:30 pm ADR before 6 pm. And by the time you can check in at 7:10… you need a party ticket.

Big difference between finishing your meal during a party & booking and ADR during one. And the poster I was responding to asked about booking during the party.

Yep. I was just responding to the statement that you can't be in the park after the party starts. It's possible, depending on when your reservation is, but again, not likely with B&B.

Found it. It was actually not the DVC group so maybe more than one person has been told this. It was Walt Disney World Tips and Tricks.

Edit: so seems same post is being shared across multiple groups so maybe it is just 1 person. :jester:

Or maybe it's someone's brilliantly evil plan to spread the rumor that it's being postponed so that the rest of us stop refreshing & make it easier for them to get a reservation when they are finally loaded! :P

Yes but I think it's a way less popular offering than B&B.
That's good at least. Was there an official public statement made? Curious if we could expect an announcement somewhere in particular so we can avoid having to refresh for the next 12+ hours.
