I hope you are wearing flip flops. I can't imagine my feet in sneakers there :scared1:

I quit wearing canvas shoes in the summer LONG ago! My favorite summer shoes are Tevas, but I also like Crocs even though they're a little hotter. This is the first summer since I was a little kid that I've worn flip flops at all. It's fun!

:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: Why didn't you wear flip flops? They've been in style for a few years now.

I'll PM you. Did you still want the Cabo stuff? I know I told you to go to trip adviser but I wasn't sure if you still wanted my info.

::yes:: & ::yes::

I did look there, but I'd really like what you saw first hand. Just makes me feel safer ya know ;)

I never wanted to go through the agony of getting the blisters between my toes that would then heal and form the necessary calluses!:lmao:

Since you're still here. Here is the recipe:

1 (750 milliliter) bottle red wine
1/2 cup sour apple pucker
1/2 cup rum
any fruit

Soak the fruit for a few hours with the wine and rum and add the pucker. You can add orange juice or punch but I would taste it first. It doesn't need it :rolleyes1

This info is in my file. I'll look tomorrow. I didn't experience any of the hotels though. I just researched on-line. The hotels that you were in front of were the best I've found because of the beach.

They have it at Albertson's and Stater Bros too and whatever grocery you might have.

I Have Called In the Big Guns

OK, I was having a melt-down trying to organize the list for the get together in California in September (A meet up and wedding celebration).

So, Nan has graciously offered to take over the planning. She'll be better at it than I will too.

I feel so relieved. Now I can focus on our attire for the day of the wedding.

I have some interesting plans.

Nan, you're an official 'Wedding Planner'!!! I so wish we could be there.

Hey don't offer me that baby unless you mean it. And I'd just feed her the cupcakes....because eventually I'd give her back to you :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

That is what 'nans' do!!:lmao:

Marilyn, I'd say that having your granddaughter Christened on your 39th anniversary is a great celebration :dance3: You will have that date to share and I'm sure for her it will always be extra special. Congrats to you & John and little Molly :goodvibes

Thank you Nan. It was really very nice.

I know you are most likely asleep now as you are on Vanessa time.....but I want to wish you and John a Happy Anniversary and many many more happy years together!! 39 years is wonderful!!

Thanks Lisa. I remember over 20 years ago waiting on at a 40th Anniversary celebration for a couple at Church and it seemed an age away - and they did seem so old too.:scared1:

And finally, I thought I would show you what Shannon picked up for herself and her Wii Fit board today:

It's kinda like a neoprene cover for added protection and comfort. Will have to let you know how it works, Shannon is using it right now.

I want one!

Happy Anniversary, Marilyn and John!

Thank you Cherie.

Who makes the Wii Fit board cover?
(Not that I don't care about the wedding, mind you;) )

A company called I-con

They make a wii fit set that includes the cover and a yoga mat. Shannon already had a yoga mat so she only wanted the cover and luckily it came separately for about $15 CDN.

We just finished a massive gamingnight of Wii Sports.

Now it's time for bed.

Ken, that would be so cool if you guys came down! You could give me some DL photo tips! I tried taking some pics of the fireworks last night. They didn't turn out that well, but I'll keep trying.

What I did was put it on manual focus. I used the castle as a reference point. Autofocus wasn't fast enough.

I'm not exactly sure why folks are having trouble viewing the Happy Dance movie. Ken, you were able to view it, right? If so, it's not a Mac/PC problem. It is a pretty large file so if you don't have a fast connection that may be a problem. One thing you could try is downloading it and then playing it from your own desktop. You can download the file from the page it's on.

Yep both Shannon and I watched it from different PC's too. We both used IE 7 I do believe.

Good Morning Everybody:thumbsup2

We stayed in last night and watch the film Flocker!! Oh it was so funny as I have see it before but Ian didn't.

Still have HEAVY RAINING:sad2:

Not good for kids to have summer holiday with it:sad2:

Oh, one more thing. Tyler's been wanting to start saving money to try to do another cruise. I told him I'd find a little bank for him to start his collection. Yesterday I found a cool one called the Amazing Money Jar, and the screw top has a digital counter on it, so it keeps a running total after every coin. He thought it was pretty cool when I showed it to him today until he asked me how much a cruise costs. I told him about $3000. He looked at me, looked at the jar, looked back at me and said, "I don't think this jar is going to work. That much money will never fit in here." :rotfl2: I assured him that whenever the jar is full, we'll take it to the real bank and keep adding to it each time we fill the jar. :thumbsup2 He's still doubtful, but it's good that he wants to start saving.

Awww, bless him.

I don't know what sour apple pucker too:confused3

Just put apple, lemon, any fruit in.

Oh I love Sangaria, when we go to Spain, we alway have jug of it:thumbsup2

Oh well, I think I go upstair and have a late spring cleaning;)

Have a nice day and hope the fires go down and it was on News last night and on internet too.

Bring it baby....Paul is in the clean the clutter mode. Maybe he thinks his butt looks big :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Paul is not having a Mommy Dearest moment is he? I fear when Sukie gets those Joan Crawford cleaning spates.

Now that I'm on cleaning, the latest argument Sukie and I are having is over algae ... yes, algae.

We have a fountain in the front yard. I want to put an algaecide in water, Sukie does not. He is in firm belief that the fountain splashes (which it does) and the algaecide kills or burns the plants it splashes on.

Yesterday, we were in Lowes when this argument started. I finally said, "OK, but I'm telling you that algae is going to clog up the pump, and ruin the motor."

After we came home, I spent most of the day on the front porch. At a point in the afternoon ... silence. The fountain had stopped.

I started checking circuit breakers, etc. I put my ear to the fountain and could plainly hear that the motor was humming.

I had to start bailing out the equivalent of pond muck, and disassemble the fountain. Sure enough, algae had clogged the motor.

Sukie stood there looking at me. I stood there looking at Sukie, and with the greatest pleasure and a heart more full of joy than I have ever known I said, "I told you this would happen."

Cleaning up the motor was easy. Realigning the screws in mucky water to put the fountain back together took me nearly an hour.

I need to go on the Internet and Google to see if there is a natural way to control algae, either that or sneak back to Lowes and secretly put algaecide in the water.

Now I don't know how big your fountain is, but John says that you put bales of hay in a pond to control algae. Perhaps a very very tiny bale???:confused3

Happy Anniversary Marilyn - 1 day late

Glad you had a good day & that the christening went well. Hope Molly's head is ok after she was dropped into the font. (I had to re-read your post to make sure I had read that correctly).

Cheri - Loved talking to you last night! Feel free to ask me ?s anytime

I'm supposed to be checking out a church's website to see what time their services are....so need to get over there and see if I can make a service.

Talk to you guys later!

Thanks for the anniversary wishes Monica. Molly was just fine. Her mum was holding her for the pouring of the water over her head, and Molly kind of threw her head and arms back, knocking down onto the metal basin. She didn't actually bang her head on the font thank goodness, but it shocked her and she cried for some time. Of course, once everyone knew she was ok, we all smiled and chuckled at her crying, which seems mean, but is what we all do don't we?

We had a good Church service this morning - hope you manage to get to your service.
