I've worked out. I sooo want to see my week goal of 183.

I believe in you! You can do it! I'm trying to hit my goal weight this week, too...I want to be down 2 pounds from last Friday. Okay, I really want to be down 3. But I don't think that's going to happen as the weather cooled down and I'm not drinking as much water. :charac2:

last week, I just wanted everything in sight!

That's me...I'm sooo hungry today!!! And yesterday, too!! I've been trying to cut back on calories, but man, how I would love fresh gooey brownies or a triple layer chocolate cake... or a Coldstone's Gotta Have It...that chocolate lover's one....

Brownies don't count if you give away most of the pan, right? I'm thinking the teachers at DH's school may need some treats in their lounge... LOL if the 13x9 pan of brownie stays here, DH and I have been known to polish it off in less than 72 hours. oops :rolleyes1
 
Jeez...work has been so busy the past couple days and I haven't had my DIS time :(

Hope everyone is doing great and having a good week. I've been working out but I haven't seen the weight drop at all this week yet...oh well, I've got a few more days.

My MNSSHP tickets still haven't arrived. I'm kind of frustrated because I've tried to call the ticket office 3 times & have left messages and no one has returned my calls yet. Oh well, I'll keep waiting...

Not too much else is going on...just wanted to stop by & say hello since I've been quiet the past couple days.
 
I can't believe it, I haven't even been on this board for a day & I had weighed myself last night, because I hadn't done it for about a week & I GAINED 3 pounds. Today I did much better though. Hopefully by Friday I can work off the 3 pounds & make it 1 more!! Got to get up early tomorrow to workout b4 the kiddies get up!!
 
I actually am the host of the Pet Lovers' Board (I was the person to ask for it to be created 4 or 5 years ago) and I tend to post on the Anything Topic Board and the Debate Board nowadays- I took the swim dipe debate from here over there :lmao: Anyways, I've just started posting on the Weight Loss board and they have a competition about every 6 weeks for weight loss. Figured I'd hop on that too! I used to be a fervent September 05 poster, but since we had the babies and then I got pregnant and miscarried and it seems EVERYONE else is now either pregnant or having a new baby- it kinda leaves a bad taste in my mouth to hang out there anymore. LOL. Call it bitter grapes- they're having what I couldn't have due to my damn luteal phase deficiency (I don't produce enough progesterone during early pregnancy and it leads to miscarriage). TMI!

I didn't do great today, but I'm still pretty proud of myself. I was good until I took my lil sis to the mall to get our hair done. I ate my Spec K bar there- yum- but was starving and Haghen Daaz (however you spell it) was giving out free ice cream cones. I DID NOT GET ONE. However, when I dropped my lil sis off- I had a couple spoonfuls of beef stroganoff :eek: and then I had a pita from Jack in the Box- with some fries- and a chicken strip. LOL. BUT I maybe had half of my fries- so that's not so bad- and I really didn't eat much today otherwise. So I'm not feeling TOO guilty.

Gotta keep that 183 in mind for the next two days. GOTTA GET IT.

Well i was pretty bad yesterday.....couldnt resist cookie doh-just 2 pieces though;) Oh and I got a craving for somthing sweet late last nite and as hard as I fought it I gave in and had some bryers ice cream:scared1:
I am taking those pills that are suppose to help with curving my appitie and fight cravings-----evidently there not working!:rotfl2: I weigh in at docs office tommrow so we'll see what thae damage is:sad2:

Morning :hug: Love your choices... Coral Reef is 1 pt. and one of our favorites and well as Boma's. If you have children Ohana's is great :banana: but the food is better at Kona.. just my opinion though. I am so excited too :cheer2: We will be there before we know it :dance3:

Sorry I've been really bad at posting the past couple days. I thought I'd be spending a lot more time on here since my husband is out of town, but I've found that I'm really enjoying being at the gym & having a chance to get things done around that house that I never do when he is home.

I'm kind of frustrated this week because I have ate really well, no snacks of any sort and when I got on the scale this morning I was up 2 pounds. What the heck??? I've been working out everyday and eating about the best I can possibly eat and no weight loss. It may be muscle, but seriously, I want to see a weight loss, not a weight gain after all of my hard work.

Hope everyone else is having better luck then I this week. Yesterday was 89 degrees in Portland. It was soooo hot! It was funny because last night on the news the weather man said "It's not every day Portland is hotter then Florida"

I still haven't received my MNSSHP tickets which were ordered on May 1. I have tried to call & ask for assistance to find out if they have been shipped but no one has been able to help me. They said that it can take 21 days to receive in the mail...hopefully I'll see them soon since my credit card has already been charged for them.

Okay, well back to work I go. I'm super busy so I need try to stay focused today :)
 
Becky- it can take a little bit for your body to realize you aren't eating enough to maintain your current weight- to keep it up and you'll probably see a good jump in the next few days on the scale! And don't apologize for using the gym- LOL- we're proud of you :banana:

You reminded me- uh, I paid off our trip earlier last month- when do we receive our package with tickets and such? I don't remember and am too lazy to look it up!

So yesterday, I treated myself and my little sister to the 'works' at a beauty salon. Well, I had my hair colored (it's red- not naturally- but now it's very red) and layers cut into it- took THREE HOURS. UGH! My lil sis got really blonde streaks and then dark violet streaks in her hair- it's actually quite subtle and very cute. Let's not talk about the bill- it was FRIGHTENING :scared1: Probably why I DON'T ever go into salons- I've been known to skip a year or two!

THEN I went to Frederick's of Hollywood, just to look and you know what? They have bras that actually FIT! Victoria Secrets is made for skinny butts- that's it. I only found ONE bra that would fit last time I went in there- at FoH- there were bras that went all the way up to F and they were CUTE! I don't fit an F, but a DD- LOL! So I bought a few cute bras and undies there- I'm so excited to wear them today! Then I went to The Body Shop and purchased some new perfume because I haven't had perfume in years!

So yeah, I spoiled myself.

Then today, after working out, I stepped on the scale. AND I SAW 184!!!!!!!

That's 10 pounds less then the weight I originally quoted when we started setting up this weight loss challenge. Not 10 pounds from the actual start- but still 10! I'm so excited!!!

Awesome job on the weightloss!!! You deserved a day at the spa :) I'm really bad about going on a regular basis too. I always love it when I get my hair done, a pedicure, etc. but I just never have the time it seems like. I have curly hair so I have been known to trim my own ends since I figure no one can really tell anyways...that is soooo bad :)

I used to love Victorias Secret but now I just don't fit into their stuff very well...I'm learning that having a baby adjusted my entire body, not just my stomach! And I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Body Shop. Their stuff is always smells so good. I have a few of the body lotions and everytime I use them I get so many compliments during the day.

I think you usually get your tickets & everything about a month before your trip. Probably by early August it should be sent out. Correct me anyone if I am wrong, I'm just trying to remember from my last trip.

How's everyone doing today? I've been drinking tons of water today & had a slim fast meal bar for breakfast. I am getting ready to take a quick break and go for a walk really quick. I really need to get up & stretch. Sitting at my desk for too long makes my body & legs cramp up...I hate that feeling.

Keep up the good work...I know how tempting everything can be!! and becky ak It is sooo frustating...I thought I can't believe it I'm eating much much better then I was (no snacks of junk, eating well) it does take a little while. I think that I did pretty good today- for breakfast I had a bowl of cheerios/fiber one/kashi cereal, then had the same for lunch, ok cheated for snack had 4 ritz/peanut butter/marshmallow crackers, and dinner had 1 mozzarel stick, 2 slices of pizza--of course LOTS of water!! Tomorrow I will work out & have green tea, hopefully i can work off @ least 2 pds by Friday (:goodvibes )

seems a lot of us have sneaked out lately. I FINALLY got DH to go with me to the gym yesterday...by bribing him for Chik-Fil-A for dinner afterwards :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Man, did those fries taste GOOOD.... And today I got my daughter a kid's meal at McDs.. and ate about 8 fries of hers, too... they were hot and fresh...

I'm craving all my old comfort foods so badly. I want to be able to eat gobs of brownies and thick gooey ice cream sundaes and... :guilty: BUT...fast food hamburgers have NO appeal anymore. :yay: This from someone who definately fits in the "typical" American family, who ate out (spending money we didnt' really have) about 3 times a week.

I can not wait until free dining so I will stuff myself silly. I will walk and swim TONS so I don't gain this weight back, but I keep telling myself all the buffets we booked will be my treat for losing this weight. :rotfl:

I can not wait to make one of those giant rice crispy treats covered in lots of gooey chocolate and ...

<sigh> the balance rocky road bars aren't THAT bad, as far as protein bars go. I'm not liking protein bars much at all, but they are a convenient, filling snack. They certainly don't compare to a nice warm gooey brownie, though.

My trainer ran me ragged tonight. I was happy because I wanted all the french fries worked off LOL. I only have 2 more sessions left. I'm not sure if we can afford more sessions, I would love to continue because he pushes me so much more than I push myself. I think I lose a lot more weight because of him than if I did this just with my own wits and persistance.

Becky, how are you handling your son being gone? If I had no kids at home, I would like to think the house would be cleaner...but I'm too afraid I'd just want to be on DIS and catch up on TV and relax instead of cleaning LOL!

Good morning Friends~ Tomorrow is weigh in day :scared1: How's everyone doing today? I am such an idiot, last night I went to bed really late & set my alarm for 6pm instead of 6am, so as you can guess I was late to work this morning. I woke up at 8:30 to the sound of my cell phone ringing. I was wondering why some jerk was calling me soooo early, only to look at my clock and realize that I was late to work. Way to go Becky! Guess my body is just exhausted this week.


I'm craving all my old comfort foods so badly. I want to be able to eat gobs of brownies and thick gooey ice cream sundaes and... :guilty: BUT...fast food hamburgers have NO appeal anymore. :yay: This from someone who definately fits in the "typical" American family, who ate out (spending money we didnt' really have) about 3 times a week.

We eat out a lot too. I know that we can't really afford it and we could be saving the money for other things, but it is so easy for us to stop at a drive through because our schedules are so busy & so crazy. I've been trying to make more things at home & save in containers to take w/ me to work or quick snacks for when we are on the run & it has seemed to help a bit.

It's been hard w/ him gone, but I've done pretty well. They get into Seattle tonight and are supposed to fly to Portland in the morning, but I think I'm going to drive up to Seattle after work to pick them up. I just want to see my baby...the little one hehe :) The first couple nights were so weird though, I felt like I had no responsibilities & nothing to do, so it took a little bit of adjusting. It's been good for me though, I've spent time at the gym and got some projects done that I've been putting off for a long time.

I hate water so much too. It is really hard for me to drink. I read somewhere to make a pitcher of water w/ fresh lemons in it & it will be more like lemonaide. So I'm going to try that since I like lemondaide...maybe I can fool my tastebuds.

Do you go to a regular family doctor or one that specializes in weight control? I'm curious and have been thinking about maybe talking to a doctor or nutritionist, but I don't know where to even begin.

Hope everyone else is doing great! Another beautiful day in Portland and 1 day closer to our trip!! We are doing great ladies, keep it up :)

Actually this office is for both weight loss and family medicine. the office is split into 2 sections, I only see him for the weight loss BUT I know that the medicine I get from him can be prescribed by a "normal" doctor. He also gives a me B complex shot (in the rear:scared1: ) Once a week at weigh in and that helps to boost energy--- most "normal" doctors will do that aswell. If you have any questions just PM me. I have used this medicine and these shots in the past to help kickstart my weight loss and it does work. I lost like 60 pounds last time but like a dummy I let it slowly come back:eek:
 
OK, so I can't read backwards to catch up... but just wanted to let you know there was no change this week for me. I can't weigh in tomorrow so i did it today... (as I will be POPPING tomorrow!) Well, that's not entirely true, there was a change, i went up three pounds, but by this morning I was back to the 197. Ok, have a great weekend everyone and I will talk to you all next Wednesday!

Wow, I am so jealous- an impulsive trip to WDW? Sigh! Have fun!!!

I'm doing good- except for the fact that I ordered a foot long Veggie sub (vinegar and salt and pepper were my dressing- but it did have a few slices of provolone cheese on it as well) and I just ate my 1/2 for lunch and I'm DYING to get my hands on the other half which is my dinner! YUMMMM!!!

Otherwise, the scale still showed 184 this morning- I'm trying not to hold my breath, but I REALLY want to see 183 tomorrow on weigh-in! Plus, I just need 50 more minutes to make my exercise goal for the month!

On another note- LOL. I bought a fish tank last week impulsively. Two of my fish already went belly up! My husband told me on Sunday that the tank was too small and I needed to get a real one (I bought a hexagon lil tank and five little fish- how was I to know they needed more room?) and I thought about it, but nah- I figured I'd wait. Heh. Shoulda got the new tank sooner. Plus, only one fish was dead this morning- went to Walmart, bought a new tank, went to Petco and got a few more fish otherwise the new tank would look really empty- the other fish went belly up too! LOL! Poor things!

Also, I got a free DOGHOUSE from Freecycle! Isn't that so cool?
