Okay, so I did the virtual model thing & it is actually making me rethink my weight loss goal. I'm tall, 5'9" and have a naturally muscular frame. When I put down my goal of 145 it actually made me look too thin. So then I adjusted it to 150 which is my end picture on here. But still, I was happy with the halfway point looking person at 175. Not that I'll stop working hard, but if I get to 175 I'll be very happy. This is coming from a girl who is currently above 200 and was at 240 during my pregnancy! Yikes!

What I liked about the virtual model program is it gives me a visual goal to look at. If I lose weight and get to 150, I don't necessarily want to be skinny-skinny, I want some muscle on my body. I want defined arms & legs...

Okay, enough explaining :)

I'd definitely feel apprehensive about being away from my littlest for a week too! In fact, we JUST let him have his very first overnighter with Grandma when he was almost 19 months old! Yeah- he's probably my last, so I'm kinda spoiling him- rotten. (Kinda? Yeah, right!).

I've done my workout for the morning. I really reeeeeeeeeeally wish I had something other then the elliptical to use- but I'm not into workout programs- I have dogs and cats and there is NO WAY I want to get down on my hardwood floor to workout! Hahahaha!
 
To my surprise...I was 5.5 pounds lighter.

Everyone here is such an inspiration to me! You keep me on track and are so supportive. I'm so glad I joined this group! :grouphug:

I didn't even lose one pound this week. <sigh> As Pru said, I've got to focus on my body being healthier and happier. I'm sure my veins appreciate not eating fast food 4 times a week! And my blood sugar appreciates not getting all that soda sugar.

The longest I've been away from my daughter was about 18 hours when I tried to see Ellen Degeneres' show in LA. She's never spent the night anywhere but with me. She just hit 21 months. My son's first sleepover at Grandma's house was when I was in labor in the hospital with my daughter. He was almost 5 at the time. I keep them close so they are in hug's reach at all times. :hug:
 
Oh...I'm going to be soooo sad this week without my son. My DH I can handle being away from for a few days...:rotfl: but not my baby. I'm going to be so lonely...I guess I'll be counting on you guys to keep me company & keep me from being too sad.:hug:

Arms: -1 inch
Bust: -1 inch
Waist: -3 inches
Hips: -4 inches

Wow !! That is amazing. I have measured myself but I am going to wait a few weeks to do it again. My pants do feel a little looser though :woohoo:

Awww, Becky I'm sorry you have to be away from your family:hug: . Just try to enjoy this time to yourself. I would give anything to have a day or two to myself BUT thats because I live with 5 boys....no girls-It gets crazy around here:eek: Anyway we will be here for you if you need us:flower3:

Morning gals, No change for me this week:mad: But I didn't gain :banana: DH's surgery went well and now i will have him home for 4 to 6 weeks recovering:hug:

To those who went up some, just remember that muscle weighs more than fat :cool1: So, it isn't always a bad thing to see the scale move upward!

I did ok on food yesterday, but didn't get any exercise in. :sad2:

The last few weekends I have done really good at getting up and doing my exercise first thing. BUT, today I had to go into work for about 1.5 hours and it messed up my weekend routine. I could exercise now, but that would make too much sense ;) :sad2: I just am not in the mood and have stuff to do this afternoon.

I will have to do really well on my food today and get some good exercise in tomorrow! So far I have only had coffee and a banana and I've been up for 3 hours. So, it is time for lunch, NOW popcorn::

It is hard to stay on track on the weekend, but I know we can all do it!! :cheer2:

Oh, and I did my weigh in yesterday and PM'd Mssladybug w/ my weight. I will have to start there, because I had not been weighing in the morning and it is different at night. I also thought that I would go ahead and agree to the $10 part of the challenge. I may not end up at Disney w/ you guys, but it looks likely at this point. If not, I will still put in the $, cause it is worth it for the added motivation you guys have given me! THANKS! :grouphug:
 
Well, my elliptical broke this morning. LMAO. Yup.

It's okay- Hubby will fix it when he gets home.

But I was feeling so sad because I didn't get my workout- oh, how life had plans for me! I brought my daughter (7) and toddler (20 months) to this big kid thing at the park one of the radio stations was hosting. Well, we ended up having to park waaaaaayyyyy out there and of course, as life always does to me- my Bub was asleep. Knocked out cold. And my stroller? At my Mom's.

So I had to carry this HEAVY SACK OF POTATOES probably 1/2-3/4 a mile to this area in the park where everything was set up. He actually slept through buying the tickets to get in, waiting in line and buying food, and finally (after we sat down in the shade because it was bloody hot out and realized we had no forks to eat our food with and we were no where near the food booth by then) I managed to rouse my little sleeping Handsome (that's the opposite of Beauty, right?).

I AM EXHAUSTED. LOL. I didn't eat great there- had Panda Express- shared with my daughter, and a lemonade- shared with the Bub- but I'm going to guzzle my water and maybe have a protein shake for dinner- I don't think it's too bad since that's ALL I've had all day.

I tried to do the elliptical at the gym yesterday. I made it only 3 minutes before I was ready to collapse. I don't know HOW people can do it so long. I feel my legs and bottom must be a huge mass of nothing but fat if I can't even do 5 min here :sad2:

My right arm is sooo much stronger because my 21 month old sits on that side just about all day. We will HAVE to meet in Sept..our kids are the same age and we have essentially the same days at POP! (you get a couple more days, lucky you!)

Don't give up! My GF has one and I used to do it at her house... the first time, I could NOT do even 1 minute!!!! I was up to 30 minutes within a week or two... (i know because i didn't keep doing it much longer than that! ;) ) After your body gets used to it, I felt like I could do it forever.... but we had to switch machines, so I only got to a half hour. So, keep up the good work... I have to get doing something soon!!!! :yay:

Inspiration of the day.... so I am going to try to use it as.... nobody is going to get me skinny but me! I had a GF that was doing the diet with me, and she gave up today... so.... I feel bad, but, maybe I won't when I am skinny cuz I kept with it!:cool1:
 
good morning everyone! Hope everyone had a great Mothers Day! Well I skipped my evening workout yesterday due to having my sister, her boyfriend and her 3 kids at my house, not to mention my 4 kids:scared1: SO we had a house full and I just couldnt get around to getting my exercise in...ohwell, I'll just have to work super hard today;)
 
Morning, sunshines! Well, I am double-y screwed now! I joined a group of ladies on the parenting site I'm on (Pregnancy.org) for a weightloss challenge- and guess when weigh-in is? MONDAYS. So that should keep my on track during the weekends now- LOL!

Otherwise, I'm off to work out! A WEEK CLOSER TO WDW! WOO HOO!
 
Good morning everyone~ Hope you had a wonderful weekend. Mine always seem to go by too fast, I never get half of the things accomplished that I want to.

Diet & exercise went pretty good. Got in two workouts yesterday so I was happy about that.

Went to the Disney store yesterday. We have been saving up all of our change that we have lying around in the house, laundry, pockets, etc. Converted $108 in change & dollar bills into Disney dollars for the trip. Figure that way we won't blow it and it'll be fun to shop w/ Disney money while we are there.

Other than that nothing too exciting is going on. Had a wonderful mother's day but was kind of lonely since my hubby & son took off for Alaska. But I spent the day shopping w/ my sister and had dinner in the evening with my mom, sister & aunt.
 
That's a great bit of pocket change AND a good idea! I'm just trying to funnel money into savings, but then I start thinking about pulling it out- LOL! BAAAAAAAAAAAD! Disney Dollars are a much better idea!

I just got in my first 50 minutes since Friday morning, thanks to my dang elliptical throwing a bolt. Feeling good at the moment. Ready to take on the day and NOT eat everything in sight :rotfl:
