I'm glad I decided to cancel for tomorrow. My head just feels like its going to explode...and I've had a pounding headache all day.

Just received the following mass email from Daniel regarding tomorrows open events -- so if someone is looking for a Target "off-date", here's a way:
I just got approval that the open Targets listed below can now run the 18th. You would need to call the manager on the 17th and inform him that you cannot come ( maybe due to the weather) and make sure he /she is ok with it being done the 18th. Please let me know if you are available on this date. If gas is needed please include mileage and we will try to get that for you. Please only inquire about the event that is in your state and city.

4 Hour Events and pay is up to $56.

I have no idea what happens in e-booking though if you are already doing one on the 17th???

I have my first 6 hour event today and was wondering if I still get only a 10 minute break??
I'm trying to find the info in my welcome papers. I don't see anything listed.:confused3

:yay:
Thank You for the info!!!

You are right. I just went back & can't find that written anywhere in my materials. But I can remember sitting in break room at Lowes. Its the only time I've been there. I KNOW it was longer than 10 minutes.

I remember it taking a LONG time to find my kit, & ended up on the phone with SPI about the kit, and asking some questions about some of the items left over at the end. Maybe I asked it on the phone???

Joyce, I keep 2nd guessing myself this morning. It must be the cold medicine. Just to be safe, maybe call the weekend ph# & check? Because now I'm wavering between 15 min & 30 min. I'm sorry I'm no help. And I know it was talked about once in this thread, but who knows WHEN, & search stinks.
I think I'll go back to bed & see if I can actually sleep. Have a good day.

OK - I just re-read the Altoids instructions & I'm confused... is it me or does it really not say what to do if none of the samples can be found?!

It says; If you cannot locate:
Altoids - Continue distributing Archer Farms & promote Altoids
Archer Farms - Continue distributing Altoids & promote Archer Farms
Kit - ask for a table

But , what if NO samples are available? Cause I could 'read' this either way:

If one or more of the featured products is not available - Display & promote
If you run out of sample - swipe out & call in results

I'll be damned if because there is NO samples I have to STAND there for 4 hours but if the samples are there and I run out I can LEAVE!!!! Does that make any sense?!

ETA: Can anyone that actually saw the samples last week at Target tell me what the boxes look like.. the managers always ask me to describe the boxes!

I saw the boxes last week and they were smaller brown cardboard boxes with small white lables that said Altoids. I did not see the table kit. There was a whole cartload of these smallish boxes...I am thinking that some must have been the chips as how could single seving Altoids fill more than a box or two. Usually things seem to come in the white boxes with the blue MC logo...I usually flash the folder I was sent as part of my welcome packet that is white that has the MC logo on it. Sometimes that helps them. Good luck.

I hope really hope the kits are at Target. How do you promote something no one can sample?:confused3

I haven't sold many swamps.:rotfl2:

This maybe the longest 4 hours.

My target NEVER gets the table part of the kit. I always keep mine out in the care... because I know I will be brining it in as soon as they say they didn't receive it :D

I am guessing that when you run out of sample product you clock out! That is what I have been doing at this target I am going to today. They never want to requistion product with only like an hour left, so they say go ahead and leave

I'm back from my Altoids event. No table kit, no products. Called 800 number and they sent me home. 800 number insinuated manager didn't try hard enough to locate product. We both looked for 30 minutes. How much longer were we to search? Oh well, better luck next week.

I'm home too... no kit, no Altoids, no chips. Was there for 40 minutes looking.

I've never done an event at Target...do you guys still get paid??

Target had everything for me--table, altoids, and chips. In fact most of the chips were still sitting in the same spot from where I saw them last week when doing the choxie event. Event went well. Sold a handful of altoids and a chip or two but most people did not try them right away so they did not know if they liked them or not. Overall a pretty painless afternoon. A little worried about the Enviga coming up...not sure how to push that yet.

Target had everything for me. But I had 264 chip bags when instructions said 335. Used all my samples, cleaned up, put boxes in back and signed out at 4:38! Went fast and was easy! Those who tried the Altoids really liked them, but the store didn't have any for sale!

My Target had the table kit and whalla the altoids were in there. :confused3
But no chips anywhere.

I think the demo woman at our store had received the Altoids in the mail, and the chips were delivered to the store. Thankfully, we have someone now who handles demos and he's AWESOME. He's supposed to have everything ordered and set up when we arrive.

I did the take and bake Archer Farms rolls - which everyone liked, but a lot of people don't want par-baked rolls. They either want something they can eat right away without baking, or something you can freeze.

I did Archer Farms Ciabatta rolls and olive oil today. It was pretty slow but I gave out 180 samples and sold all the bags of rolls. I love my ST they have a demo manager and she is always ready. Next week Lipton tea.

I did the same event, and only had 167 samples all the bread sold from my location.

On to Archer Farm whole bean coffee tomorrow.:surfweb:
