Walt's Warriors (Team 7) Miles and Hours

Finally back on the treadmill! :banana: :woohoo: :yay:

I'd love to hear any reviews on the Wii Fit. I am debating between that , guitar hero and mario kart...:)

congratulations in getting back to the treadmill! Thought you'd be back in no time!

Just a heads up i've not heard any positive reviews of guitar hero, so in my opinion that would be the one to wipe off. Personally i love WiiFit, but will once again emphasise it's not going to give you a workout in aerobic terms. I find it great for stretching, toning and making me dedicate time to those things. Most importantly it's great fun and a brill social activity. I'm biased at the moment because i can't play mariokart due to my wrist not turning properly. Had a quick go at work and it was good fun, nothing incrediby different to before tho once you get used to the controls.

Just popping in. Long work week and I missed my run again last night. WIll have a 5 mile race Saturday, so that will help. Hope to get the totals caught up over teh weekend.

Ken, how's the new job going? The new settling in phase is always very demanding isn't it.

Well, i went to the run tonight- hope that doesn't conflict with you guys, WISH is my running club in my heart but i need someone to run with now and then! They do runs monday and thurs usually about 6/7 miles and i intend to go along to one a week that doesn't clash with my shifts. Today apparently was a bad day to start as it was a track day 'where's the track?' i asked stupidly. 'We run over 2miles to the track, do speed intervals for 20mins then run back' :scared1:

Altogether it took 75mins with a bit of a breather between intervals and run back and we totalled at least 5miles so i'll stick with that!

total for the week 4hr 17mins (257)11.2miles
 

Today - 9.06 miles in 89 minutes + .75 mile cool down walk (93% relative humidity at the beach today). Total 9.8 in 1:41

+ 1/2 hour weight training yesterday.
 
Boot camp training session for 45 minutes and 15 minutes of abs.

Totals for the day:

Miles = 0
Time = 1:00

Last night I did 2.5 miles/35 minutes (I did 1/2 the distance on an incline)

I hope to get in a couple runs this weekend, a 4 miler around the neighborhood, and some more TM time..

Hey Team!

I had a real victory this morning...a 7 mile run! That is my farthest distance to date, so I am super proud of myself.

Total = 7 miles
Time = 74 minutes (1:14)

Still an ab work-out to come today, but I will post that after it actually happens.

OH! And I ordered a bike from our local specialty bike shop today! Should be here next week...so woo-hoo! Here come some big biking miles from me!

Erikia congratulations on your longest run ever! Hope you're still buzzing from it.

I went out yesterday for a run and struggled right from step one. Ended up stopping after 2 miles because my leg hurt :headache: So just 18mins of running time and 20mins stretching at various times of the day.

I think the great upturn in my social life is wiping me out a bit too, but i wouldn't change it for the world!!!! :banana:

Erika: Congrats on the 7miler!!!

OK double miles for our Warriors. I did a local 5K this morning the 20th Annual
Memorial Day Classic at Weston. So that's 3.10 miles (Garmin said 3.15 so I'll leave that up to the captain) Finished in 41 min 6 secs.

So I had a good racewalk and helped out the team!!!! Yeah Warriors!!:cool1:
 
Finally was able to actually do a run last night. 2.5 miles in 30 minutes. Ok, so it was a slow run, but at least I got out there! Finally...:)

Kate--early on when I joined this team you had posted doing an 8-mile run and I remember thinking, oh my gosh! How am I EVER going to get to that point?!?! And here I am up to 7! :goodvibes

Sunday = tempo run 30 minutes and 3.1 miles + 15 minutes of core
Monday = 50 minutes and 4.5 miles

It's amazing how thing seem so out of your grasp until you actually do them. That's the power of believing!!!

In saying that i'm doing terribly at the moment with my running. Was out yesterday ran 3.6miles but had to walk for 30sec about every mile and it just felt horrid. My friend said my runnin fitness has gone already!!!!! Back to the start of training for me then :badpc: Total for yesterday= 3.6miles 34mins, and 15 mins stretch/WiiFit

Well done Tracy for getting those double miles- you star!
