Walmart Savings Center

Just found out about this savings catcher this week. I've entered my receipt and will see how far it gets. Reading the fine print makes me laugh a little, noting that it doesn't include many things, and that they don't guarantee which stores will be included in the "geographic region".

Here's a quote from the terms of service: "◦The Walmart Savings Catcher compares prices for identical items against print and digital ads from Local Competitor Retailers. “Local Competitor Retailers” means the top retail stores based on sales in the competitive trade area of the Walmart store where the transaction took place. The competitive trade area is determined by The Nielsen Company based on a number of factors, including the number of stores and people in the area. Local Competitor Retailers may change from time to time without notice to the user."

The rest of the terms are included here and lists all the items that will not be compared: https://savingscatcher.walmart.com/terms

I have found some terms pretty generous. Kroger had Muller corner yogurts on sale 10 for $10 and had a digital coupon for $2 off the purchase of 10. I bought two at Walmart and they gave me Kroger's "price" ($0.80). I couldn't have bought two at Kroger for $0.80 each because their coupon required I purchase 10.

I've entered 7 receipts, 2 are still pending, 3 no lower prices were found and I got $0.03 on one and $1.10 on the other. I found it funny that on the one we bought 3 yogurts, they found 2 cheaper at another store, but no the third. I guess some flavors were on sale but not others?

Most of mine have taken longer than 72 hours. I'm guessing they have been overwhelmed with receipts and are still working out some bugs.

They did the same to me when I bought 3 of the same item two of one flavor and one of the other. They only gave me credit on the one item when all flavors are always on sale at Walgreens at the same time. Odd thing was that those items were not even on sale that week there they were from the week before. Someone is not doing their job.

I scanned mine yesterday, waiting to hear back. I did something w/my phone number about not having to scan them anymore, supposed to do automatically when I check out. Hopefully I will get something back, if not it didn't cost me anything to try.

It was worth it to me not to have to run from place to place trying to find bargains, or digging through ads trying to ad match. It kind of rewards my laziness (or lack of time and energy really).

I think the system has glitches still.

I've entered maybe 8 receipts and gotten $8 back on maybe $150 of spending but I buy a lot of store brand products that they won't match.

Yesterday I got almost $4 back on Drumstick ice cream cones. I paid $6 and they claim they were on sale for $2 at Kroger. I'm certain something in their system is messed up. Kroger has good sales but never sells 8 full sized drumsticks for $2.

I have put in my receipt so many times and it keeps coming back invalid. My husband even put the app on his phone and the receipt would not scan. We entered it by hand and two time and it came back invalid. It is now past the date and is no good. I find this really silly.

Usually Kroger doesn't have them for that price, but they had a digital coupon for $2 off two and they were on sale for 2 for $6. I didn't even think to try to match those! Enjoy us some Drumsticks, we do! :thumbsup2

That was a great deal. If I weren't on vacation I would buy a few more boxes. They are good!

we have done it for our last two trips to WM and we are up to $2.52. Whatever our savings ends up being I will put the equivalent in our Disney slush fund. i give those funds to the kids to spend.

I shop at Walmart weekly, if I see an advertised price in another store flyer I will have them match the price at the register but of course I don't notice everything. I've been using the savings catcher for three or four weeks and not including this week I've gotten over $12 back. This week the app didn't seem to be working correctly, when I tried to scan the QR code it would just return to my phone's home screen but I did get an email the next day that my receipt was received. I'll be glad to take back whatever money they want to give me! :)

I had a receipt from August 10 that I tried to scan twice shortly after that date and both times it told me that the date was wrong. It wasn't. I was very careful to enter August 10. So today I try to enter the same receipt again and it tells me that it's "Not eligible". Anyone else have that happen?

It's not eligible because it's more than 7 days old.

Next time try the website and enter the tc and date.

Not too much in my account, but $3.52 so far...7 receipts entered. I tend to purchase GV items so...I had to check the brands on sale at Kroger.

Funniest was receiving 68 cents back on a pack of gum for DD16. It was an impulse to grab it...The price on shelf was around a dollar.

Got an email this evening regarding the scanning QR not working recently. The email said it's been fixed now. No mention of extending time to enter the receipts. :rolleyes2

I have been disappointed that they won't do any of the weighed items. Grapes were 99 cents a pound at every store around here...Walmart was $1.99 per pound. And there was a large savings catcher cut out right above the grapes. I had read the FAQs so I knew they wouldn't, but how many folks don't?

I was glad to receive my .97 off the 3 pounds of clementines, though.

After reading this thread yesterday I downloaded the app and saved $7.07 on a receipt I had from Saturday. Any money I can save is great, thanks for the info.

Has anyone seen the offer to double their reward dollars if you transfer it to Bluebird?

I'm just wondering what's involved. It looks like a no lose proposition--maybe just more of a hassle. I really can't find a catch but maybe I'm missing something.

Where did you see this offer? I'd be interested since I have over $20 in my account, and I'm thinking of ordering our Halloween costumes through Walmart.
