Walmart Savings Center

All you need is a walmart online account and a receipt. The code you enter is on the receipt. Once I enter my code and date of purchase on the website, it prompts me to login to my walmart account. Not sure about the app though.

the app is different.... they message you a 4 digit code. For some reason, mine isn't going through. From now on though, I'll just go thorugh the website instead. The app is too much trouble to get working!

Well after waiting 5 days, I just got an email saying nothing saved on that receipt. I'm having issues getting it to scan or let me enter another receipt. Anyone having that issue?

try the website - it's very easy to just type in the number and then pick the date - no scanning issues.

I have done 3 receipts - saved nothing on one and the other 2 are 'processing' - fingers crossed. I did tell DH that putting the receipts in is oddly satisfying!

I put in my first receipt, they said it would take a few days. Which is fine. Do they allow you to build it up or do they send out a card to you? How do you collect it?

You can let it build up. When you want to redeem it, they send you a code (e-gift certificate) that you can use on their website or print out and use it in the store.

Does anyone know if they're price matching to Aldi? I previously saved a lot of money at Walmart by price matching fruits and veggies, with the Aldi ad.

Aldi showed on mine as one that it was price matched againist. However, I'm now 2 receipts in and haven't saved anything.

I love this app. Out of 1 receipt I saved $7.18. :cool1: We are letting ours build up.

Thanks for the info! I saw something about this on the bottom of my receipt yesterday, but didn't know anything about it. I just entered my info, so we will see if I save anything!

Walmart is the closest shopping store (other than truck stops) to our house so we are in there more than I care. :) I noticed the eReceipts on the bottom of the receipt a few weeks ago, but ignored it since I don't have an IPhone. Then when I was checking out, I noticed the bags are now stamped with Savings Catcher. I asked the cashier about it. She proceeded to explain the system to me and even asked if I would like the manger to answer any questions.

Haven't done it yet, but I have those receipts sitting in my purse. I still drive 10 miles to Kroger...they have given me coupons lately for $$ off my next purchase based on odd items I have put in the cart.

If I get any money back on the Walmart account, it will sit there until my ticker gets to 14 days.

I think you need to enter the receipts within 7 days if you haven't done it yet.

2 receipts but no savings yet :( I live in a small town so no target or much competition.

Don't leave those receipts sitting in your purse for too long -- you can only scan them into the system for 7 days after you shop. Once you redeem them, any cash back you get can accumulate for as long as you want, but you do need to scan them in ASAP.

I would assume they would. When I scanned a receipt the other night, when the 'now comparing prices' started running and listing stores the closet Aldi came up.

I entered my first receipt on Saturday and it still shows "now comparing prices". I remember seeing a message that it could take up to 72 hours. Does it usually take this long?

Mine from Saturday is still processing. First three took less than 72 hours.

I had 2 receipts from Friday. They finally posted today--Tuesday. I got a whole $1.56. But it'll add up and that's $1.56 more than I would have had.

The .45 I earned was from a Green Bell pepper. It was compared to Food 4 Less ad. I wish I knew what other store ad they compare to. I entered my 2nd receipt but its comparing now. I'm going to make a list of the stores that show up if I earn anymore money.

The 2nd receipt that I entered only took 2 days, and they gave me $5.24 back! I think that they are getting faster or maybe my 2nd receipt was easier to compare than my first. Anyway, I think that this is great and helps me save money that I wouldn't be saving otherwise. Of course, my money saved will be going back into Walmart's pockets but I'd be shopping there anyway so it's helping me save in the long run! :thumbsup2

What's to stop someone from hanging out at the trashcan at Walmart and entering all the discarded receipts? Is there a limit on how many you can enter a day? Seems like an awfully easy system to take advantage of.
