Last night was a bit of a zoo in the "lobby" room. I'm sure that when the "intrigue" factor dies down, it should be easier to get around.
Some observations:
- original idea was to have just 1 room (the "Club House" so to speak, currently donated by DoomCookie) for us to have a place to hang out. All the coffin teleporters were originally supposed to just be a MEANS to GET to the Club House via the Lobby.
- however, both us Dis folks and the VMK community at large seem to find it really interesting to use the coffin teleporters to check out
everyone's rooms

- the Lobby was meant to just be a hub to get to the hangout room; it wasn't meant for large gatherings. When a large number of people were in the Lobby last night, it prevented people from entering it, which defeated the purpose of using it to get to our hangout room
I've already mentioned before that my preference was to keep things as open access as possible to everyone (Dis or non-Dis). On the other hand, it's fun to be able to know there's a place where I might be able to find Dis folks.
What would people prefer? A real lock-down, so that only Dis people have personal teleporters into an otherwise completely locked down Lobby, so it won't get crowded? (I'd sort of rather not -- I have non-Dis "friends" on VMK too.)
A completely open Lobby, at the risk of getting the Lobby mobbed and un-enterable? (This might improve once there are so many coffins in the room that it's no longer a pleasant place to
stay and people will be vacating the room more quickly.)
I think the "other ends" of the teleporters from the Lobby belong to
you all, so it's completely your choice how much you want to rope it off. DoomCookie roped off the "official" club hangout room so that entry was only by teleporter (not by "go to" via the Room menus), which made it more usable as a Dis-only hangout room.
Also, although the original idea was a Dis network of rooms, what if a non-Dis "friend" of mine on VMK asks to place a teleporter in the Lobby? Would you all like me to turn them down? Or can I just place teleporters in to all nice people who ask me?
Does anyone else wish there were a compact teleporter that was NOT a coffin, so they wouldn't keep on feeling the urge to cackle "I vant to suck your bloo-ooood", or flee sunlight and garlic?
