VDH Opening

With different UYs?!
I'm also a multiple UY, multiple membership with a single login.

One hidden downside of this: searching for availability from the dashboard defaults to one of the memberships and it may not be the one you want to use to eventually book, so you need to back out and start the search all over again from the RAT (where you can specify which membership).

Oh, that's great to know. Was it always that way? I had been told wrong! We'll likely purchase VDH but in a different UY. Makes sense that login would be the same, now that I think of it, since it's just your Disney account.
Since at least 2014 when we bought VGC with a different use year from our VGF points.

I think there are non zero chances that the minimum purchase for VDH will be lowered.
With so many duos and studios, larger units will be exception, not the rule like inter vast majority of DVC resorts.
Also, stays are normally shorter at DLR. Proof being that WDW sells 10 or 14 days tickets maximum, last time I checked DLR had only 5 days.
150 points might be enough for 2 weeks in a studuo, and how many people spend that much time at DLR?

I don't think 150 points will be enough for 2 weeks in a studio, especially if the points chart is at all close to VGC.
150 points will probably be enough for roughly 2 weeks in a SV Duo Studio during lowest season. Maybe it's off by a day or two in either direction, but 150 points will get you pretty close to 2 weeks.

Some speculative points charts I created, extrapolated from released cash rates:

You should send these to DVD

Ah, I forgot about the duo studios. Even so...most of the year you're not getting 2 full weeks at 150pts. So I don't think 150 is a super crazy amount of points. But I guess we'll see how things go.

Yeah, I guess I don't know who the target demographic is for VDH contracts. I imagine it's people that go more than 3-4 nights a year. But maybe not.

I am imagining it for people that likes Disney in general and can see themselves going to either Disneyland or wdw annually. I realize everyone vacations differently though and where they live might factor in. I live here by dland and so my points are mainly for wdw, but if I can grab VGC rooms I’ll do it. Also started going to Aulani too. I laugh at the 2 weeks at dland remark as I go 2-3x a week. Maybe it’ll be for the magic key holders that live far enough to need a hotel and wants to stay in the bubble.
