Gay Day Crowds

This is only a question about crowds during gay days. We are planning on being at DL 9/18-9/22. How much over the normal crowds with gay days add?

Last time we went to DL in October 2023 over Columbus Day weekend and it was quite crowded but we managed just fine. Will it be more or less crowded than that weekend?

In my experience, those 2 weekends are about the same crowd wise. Gay Days patrons will be spread out through the parks and hotels. They also have off site activities. So, it's fairly manageable if you can handle Columbus Day.

It’s been a couple of years since I happened to be there during gay day. I didn’t notice a crowd increase that was anything significant. It’s a great vibe and everyone is dressed up or matching. Cool stuff.

It's a fun time and honestly doesn't seem as popular post pandemic with reservation system, plus Disney has their own official Pride after dark event nights now during summertime.

I was visiting with the CM during my DAS chat and, like me, he was going to Star Wars Night. I told him how much I liked the after hours events but was surprised at how crowded PrideNight was and he said those are the most popular after hours nights! As Walton Goggins says...who knew? LOL.

I was there on Gay Days once and didnt even know it...seemed liked a regular weekend crowd.

We went during Gay Days a couple of years ago & I would totally go again during that time; the crowds were not massively increased by it at all.
