Various transportation queries (once in WDW)

Hi,

This June will be our first trip staying on site and we have booked some ADR's for various restaurants, Artists Point at Wilderness Lodge and California grill at the Contempary.

Does anyone have any tips of different ways to get there that don't include buses. I like the idea of spending a little more time getting there, whether it be driving so far and taking a beautiful walk or boat ride. I'd really appreciate anyone's ideas.

Also does anyone know whether you can park anywhere near International Gateway at Epcot. We want to spend our first night wandering round World Showcase and watching Illuminations - this seams like a more sensible entrance. What do you think?

As far as different transportation options for WL and CR go, I would suggest that you take a bus or the monorail to Magic Kingdom and then from there you can boat to WL, walk to CR or even take the monorail to CR.

You cannot park by the International Gateway unless you are staying at one of the Epcot resorts (BC, YC, BCV, BW, BWV, S/D). If you wanted to wander around during illuminations, and you don't want to use the standard exit/entrance, then I would suggest going to DTD or another park via bus then transfer to bus that goes to one of the Epcot resorts. Once at the Epcot resorts, you can walk to International Gateway very easily. In addition, if you take a bus over to MGM, you could take a boat to the Epcot resorts and then walk over to IG.
