Using Ticket for Fastpass but not for park entry

In December I am chaperoning a trip to Disney with my son's high school band. As part of that package we will be getting 3 day tickets, however we will not be receiving them until we are actually in Florida. This presents a problem for getting fastpasses ahead of time. I currently have a non-expiry ticket with three days left on it. If I link that to my account and make fastpasses with it at thirty days out, will I have a problem using the fastpasses since I am not using that actual ticket for entry into the park. Also, will I be able to make fastpass reservation on that ticket again at some future date when I do use it for entry into the park?

Thanks for any help!

1. That'll work.
2. Just go to Guest Relations when you receive the tickets that you will be using and link those tickets to your
MDE account,
AND, have GR set your non-expiring tickets to a LOW PRIORITY in your MDE (so you won't use them for entry.)
3. Yes.

Be very careful though. We had a situation in June, where my dd had an expiring 7 day ph, and then 2 one day ph's (CM passes given to her) that expired 2 days prior to the end of our stay. Well, on day 9 of our trip, she was denied park entrance....was told she had no more days left! I explained what she had attached to her account. The manager told me that sometimes the system doesn't read passes correctly...and the two one day passes were stacked together. It was fixed, but it took a bit of time.
I would be afraid that the system might read your non-expiring passes first, before using the passes the group is given. I would stop at Guest Services to make sure the right passes are being used.
