Hi y'all! I'm excited for my first Disney Cruise, and it's on the Destiny. I love to dress in theme, and realize that I'll need to keep to "Disney Bounding" because I assume screen-accurate would be unwelcome like it is in the parks.

I wanted to double check the timing that I'll have to change into different theme wear. (Nothing too complicated; I'm limited to one suitcase! :jester:)

Is it possible to select the stage show to see on any given day? For example, is Hercules running every night?
My Hercules dress will double as an Asgard inspired outfit for the Marvel dining. I'm wondering if that's a realistic expectation to be able to pair those two back-to-back. The DCL website doesn't say what night(s) the show is running (Day 1, 2, 3, all nights). I realize the dining location isn't sorted until arrival.

Is Pirate Night on a certain night for the Destiny sailings? For example, is it always the last night? or some other time?

Do the Lounges stay open while the Destiny is docked at Lookout/Castaway Cay? Are they only open at certain times?
I'm planning to just do a 5K run, maybe go for an ocean swim (I'm used to Atlantic ocean swimming) then get back on the ship to get into the lounges dressed in theme... but I don't know if they'll be open.

Do people wear Mickey Ears a lot on the ship, about as much as in the parks?

Thank you so much for your insights! I'm really looking forward to the MARVELous experiences onboard! :lovestruc Excelsior!

Each show plays on just one day, at least twice (opposite each dinner seating) and possibly earlier in the afternoon.

Pirate nights may vary by itinerary. When you are able to book activities 2-3 months in advance of the cruise, you can identify which night the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique offers Pirate makeovers - that’s Pirate Night.

Some lounges are open all day, and some open in the evening.

People wear all sorts of attire, so some will have Mickey ears, though perhaps fewer than in the parks.

Thank you so much for this insight. When I go onto the app, I can't click on any of our persons in the reservation to be able to see makeover options at BBB. Is it possible there is no pirate night on certain sailings?
(PS my sailing is within two months)

EDIT: Oh, I found it! It's a separate booking option entirely. Thank you so much for this info! So helpful for outfit planning!

There will only be one day Hercules is showing. I did a b2b and the stage shows were in a different order on each cruise so at this stage it’s not reliable to stay that Hercules will always play on say, the last night on the cruise.

I see you found this info!

The Sanctum is fully open to view at all times but the lounges do close while the ship is in port, especially on LC/CC days as the crew are needed on the island. Iirc they reopened around 3pm.
Do people wear Mickey Ears a lot on the ship, I’d say they were less than the parks. The most Disneybounding I saw on my cruises was for Meg from Hercules.

Hope this helps!

Do they tend to do a stage show on "Pirate Night"?

Based on a few trip reports, it looks like Hercules is generally running on the final night, which for our sailing is a full day at sea. If the stage is dark on Pirate Night, then I think I've logic-puzzled out a likely outcome (but not guaranteed, obviously).

4 Night Sailing:
Night 1 - Seas the Adventure
Night 2 - Frozen
Night 3 - dark (no show, Pirate Night)
Night 4 - Hercules (only at-sea day)

What do y'all think? Plausible?

They tend to do a movie in the theatre on Pirate Night unless it’s a 3 night cruise.

One of my cruises was a 4 day and that was the cruise Hercules was mid-cruise and not on the final night. We did have two at sea days though, if you only have one it makes sense Hercules would be on the sea day as they are running matinees as well on most cruises.

Usually, a Disney cruise of 4 or more nights will not have one of the main live theater shows on Pirate Night, so your schedule looks plausible. The theater may show a movie or have a variety performer.
