Using FP+ but Not Riding the Ride

How does this work when you have to scan your finger to turn the Mickey head green? Does the CM just let you in?

You only scan your finger at the entrance to the park. There are no biometrics used to gain entrance to the rides.

Thanks. I do like the idea of giving him my band to go twice too. Come the time of the trip I'll be very pregnant, 26 weeks. I don't eat much now but I'm sure by then putting my feet up with ice cream will be great. It's also our Honeymoon and we've got the full package with memory maker and DDP, so plenty of snack credits to use. With memory maker I wasn't going to bring my DSLR around the park, but maybe I should. There are some really good ideas about getting different pictures at the park.

Is this your first pregnancy? Not to be a Debbie Downer, but 26 weeks isn't "very pregnant"...it gets much, much worse. :lmao: The second trimester is great for most pregnant women. The nausea of the first trimester will be gone, and you won't have all the swelling and uncomfortableness of the third trimester. That's also the point where you should have the most energy during your pregnancy. You'll still be in the cute pregnant phase where everything fits nicely and you'll look great in maternity clothes and you have a cute little belly. People won't be telling you you're huge, and won't be doubting your due date when you tell them ("Oh, you have 2 months to go? ARE YOU SURE? You're so huge, I'm sure your doctor is wrong about your due date!" Jerks. ;) ).

Anyway, that's all beside the point. You're picking the best time in pregnancy to go to Disney, IMO and with how good you'll be feeling then, you'll probably be jealous you have to give up your FP+ slots to your husband!

As you've just been advised, 6.5 months is a golden time in pregnancy! You should actually be feeling pretty darn good if you're having any morning sickness issues now. You shouldn't be uncomfortable moving around, or riding the majority of rides. Well, unless you're carrying multiples!
If it were me, I would avoid....RnRC, BTMR, Space Mt, Primevil Hurl.,....oops, Whirl! Dinosaur would be good to avoid. And EE. Other than those, you should be okay. SDMR is very smooth, without a lot of side to side jerkiness. ToT should be okay as well. It drops, but it isn't a 'severe' drop...it's pretty smooth.

Having said all that, so what makes you comfortable. Just because I say it should be okay, doesn't mean it's what you want. Just basing my thoughts on what I would have been comfortable with while pregnant. Enjoy, let your dh use your MB for FP+ if you want. But as someone else mentioned, use your MB for some more 'sedate' rides, or even shows. Take it easy and remember to eat healthy, and hydrate! It's hot/humid in Sept....I'll be there that first week in Sept

And congratulations on your pregnancy.

For Rock N Roller Coaster, I wouldn't use a FP for one person. I would use the single rider line. Same thing for Expedition Everest and Test Track. The lines will be much faster than Standby and then he just rides with an odd number of people from the regular line.

How pregnant? you said "very" pregnant... I'd imagine you may have issues attempting to enter the FP line for a roller coaster, the CM would probably turn you away since pregnant women cannot ride :confused3

Anyways, I would just plan to shop or relax while hubs rides :thumbsup2

Yep! The CM wouldn't even let me into the line for RnRC when I was visibly pregnant. I was going to stay with DD until the end in case she chickened out, but that wasn't an option, at least according to the CM there at the time.

I would just let him ride twice, and take a much needed break in the shade or AC somewhere. Goodness knows I needed plenty of those on that trip!
