I just found my receipt from our recent visit to the Publix grocery store in Orlando. Just thought I'd post to give you an idea of the US $ prices...
Wonder Bread $1.59
Lenders Bagels (1/2 doz) $2.50
Ruffles 190g $1.99
Cheese Strings (12) $3.79
Mini Ritz $2.99
Grapes .99/lb

Adult Rain Poncho $3.99

In my experience groceries are no bargain. It seems to be the same prices only in USD.
 
Ouch...... those prices hurt!:(
 

Thanks Jo-Anne. :) I always keep my grocery receipts so that I can check back to see what I paid for what, to help work out my food budget. Actually I find myself bringing more and more from home than I used to, since we drive, because there is no difference in the prices and with the exchange you end up paying more. :(
