Upgrading the Disney Photography package

Hi,

I'm having an Escapes wedding so i get 2 hours of photo coverage included in the package. Is two hours enough to get photo's at the Wedding Pavilion, GF beach and the staircase in GF (its a must its so beautiful)?

I thought about upgrading the photo package but the Disney website is not very helpful at explaining what you get for the package. Has anyone upgradied their package? What did you get it? Was it worth it and How much did you pay?

Hi, I'm having an escape too! I upgraded a lot of my basic package... I got a black and white/photojournalistic package, which adds a second photographer to get the more intimate shots. I also added an extra hour so I can feel not rushed and get the shots I want on the Boardwalk. Finally I upgraded to 40 print albums for both photographers, so 80 prints in all.

If you have anymore questions ask away... I've spent way too much time on this aspect of the wedding...

Do you mind me asking how much the upgrade has cost? I thought about getting an external photographer but if i can upgrade for just a bit more it would work out better.

No prob, just a warning, my upgrades cost a lot (I'm being neurotic about all this) , but if you just choose one it might be worth it....

Okay, the black and white/photojournalistic package costs $340... it includes a second photographer, a 20 page album, and two hours of coverage. They are there to capture the more intimate and candid shots.

The third hour costs $175.

The upgrade to a 40 print album is $155. For me, I'm upgrading both albums to 40 print, so my total is $310 for 80 prints...

Just as an add on, in case you're interested. A honeymoon session through Disney costs $310 and comes with a 20 print album.

I've been wondering about this too...I'm having escape and would like a photographer at my ceremony and DP. How would I go about this without breaking the bank? I really don't want him at dinner, which is of course between these. (2:30SBP-Dinner Somewhere-DP)??? What to do? Also, like I'm not a huge picture person (ie. I hate having my picture taken) but it seems like 20 pictures of my wedding day is not enough!!

I'm sorry I can't offer any suggestions about the scheduling (ie for the DP) but I would highly recommend pre-purchasing your proofs. It cost me about $225 for my "intimate" wedding three years ago. This way, they put the 20 pics in an album but I still got prints of all my pictures.

It is now $345 for all pictures and they're now called "keepsake photos" all proofs come in a bound book with pics being wallet size. HTH, philharmaestro
