Upgrading 4/3 Ticket to AP

I have the 4/3 deal for May and had bought a 10 day non-expiring, non-hopping ticket to use to upgrade to an AP. I had read on another thread that Disney did not allow the 3 free days to count toward the upgrade. Has anyone heard anything about this changing? I will be pretty ticked off since this is the only reason I bothered with a package instead of doing room only as usual. Any help would be appreciated!

I havent heard that. You have a 10 day ticket, it doesnt matter that you only paid for 7.

Thanks. There is a thread on the regualr resorts board about this. I don't know how to do a link. They are saying that the ticket is not able to be upgraded at all.
