Fox just to clarify are people reporting success in getting CB on this when buying GC? My offer states excludes GC in the details.

Depending on which gc you're purchasing it certainly is possible.
We have current DP's on tracking and in past cc offers, peeps have posted RMN paid out. Again, 45+ days ago.

Cash is King!

I didn't get the email either and DH recently bought tickets for MrBallen's live performance in Detroit. DS got us into watching his youtube videos on the Missing 411 - excellent btw. I hope he brings new stories on this topic during the show! :hyper:

It seems to be a staggered mailing...my mother got the Ticketmaster letter in the mail last week and mine just came today.

Thanks for the reminder on the Chase/Staples offer!

As a note for others taking advantage of this, the Disney GCs are priced at 101.99 and 51.99 respectively. So the Cashback is just a touch over 9% if you buy 100 + 50 (153.98).

My Costco already implemented this, I don't have a Costco card but my wife does - so I need to make sure we all go inside together now. Normally I would say go inside and I'll grab a shopping cart and meet you in there - but not anymore.

Haven't tried entering using a gift card though.

It is kind of crazy - and at my Costco which is one of the busiest in the country (or so I've been told) - it creates a backup to get inside the club as everyone now has to scan their card. You may be surprised (or not) how many people don't have their Costco card out and ready to scan - so then they are blocking the entrance, fumbling through their purse or wallet for their Costco card.

Next thing they're going to add facial recognition or fingerprint scanners like at Disney World.

I'm not opposed to Costco making sure you're not trying to skip out on the membership fee, but do it in such a way that doesn't make it an inconvenience for everyone. In the past, they used to validate your membership at checkout - while they're scanning your card. I know because multiple cashiers had commented that my wife looks different in her photo (it just so happens her original photo was taken the same day we did our pre-wedding photos and she had tons of makeup on) - she finally retook her photo so they'd stop asking her about it lol.
My Costco photo was taken almost 20 years ago, it's so small I don't know how they tell anything- but I guess that's more a reflection of the fact my Costco is apparently one of those that doesn't really care? They don't scan at the door (yet) and only scan the card at checkout, not really looking at photos... probably gonna have to get an updated pic if they start scanning at the door and actually looking at the photos...

LOL, mine too, It doesn't look anything like me. Our Costco, you flash the card at them from 10 feet away and they smile and say thanks.

You can stack it with the Retail me not 6% cash back too. I believe ends today

Hmm, that's interesting, I don't have a DP for that.
I see RMN is 20% cb and CVS sells a variety of egift cards including Disney . I'm not sure.

CVS online gift cards are sold by a third party; The GiftCardShop.
So credit card offers won't work but will the cashback website?

I'm going to say no. Even though RMN states GC are excluded you're not buying gift cards from CVS, you're buying them from the vendor.

Buy hey, if you want to test it out and post your results... that would certainly help the community.

Edit to add: If anyone wants to school me, bring it! I'll be happy to add a new DP.

So have the DPs shown that RMN cash back works with CVS gift cards? Like Disney? I may have misunderstood your reply

What other GCs have people bought from Staples? Not sure I need more Disney, but hate to let the Staples deal (Chase/RMN)+ pass me by.

I love DoorDash and Uber eats for my family. You can do pick up and save even more.

What you're saying is, you purchased gift cards at CVS online and stacked with RMN and successfully picked the gift cards up.

Is that correct? If so which gc did you buy? Can you post that RMN paid you. Thanks!

What? I answered your Q.

Regarding online: I'm going to say no. Even though RMN states GC are excluded you're not buying gift cards from CVS, you're buying them from the vendor.

For in-store, I have no DP's.

When looking for DP's, I posted all that I have on the Post #2.
Everything is in alphabetical order. You might want to take a look see. If it's not listed, then I don't have it.

I feel like everyone is getting that letter! Like was a mailing list breached or something 😂 My parents even got it and they never buy tickets to anything besides Disney and Universal.

I got that same letter. However 2 days before, I also got an alert from Credit Journey on the Chase website that my personal information was compromised in a data breech. It didn’t say what company was involved, but then I got the Ticketmaster letter & the dates the breech happened & was discovered match. I haven’t used Ticketmaster in years, so I think any info in their system was a possibility. Any of these companies websites have millions of customer’s info, so makes sense so many people are getting notified.

Weird. Just made my 5th staples online DGC order 8/3. Arrived today, and unlike the first 4 orders, these are the paper GC instead of plastic. The covering came off just fine, unlike some of my previous paper cards. The Chase order expired today, and the purchase was showing pending but of course today disappeared entirely, so I hope I get the 10% back.

I asked the original question about CB sites… just to clear up - I did not experiment and try I am too scared it won’t work because the URL is not CVS.com

I truly hate the costco shopping experience bc of this attitude..... my local one already has people at the door checking, and people at the self check policing usage of said cards.... even adding an item to my sisters shopping order on the belt provokes personal questions.... They're not that unique or great, to me they are too similar to the other warehouse clubs who don't treat their customers to so much 'security'.

Costco runs their business the same as they did 20 years ago. Sam’s Club runs circles around them in 2024 because they have innovated and changed for the better over the last decade. I never would have expected to throw shade on Costco, but it’s the truth. I used to hate Sam’s with a passion and love Costco, but it has completely flip-flopped

Here’s my take:

Sam’s doesn’t care about membership sharing because they’ve streamlined their shopping process to the point they can be massively profitable based purely on volume. Scan and Go, curbside pickup and synced store/online inventory have eliminated shrinkage and made the shopping experience more enjoyable. It’s a gamechanger that gets better every visit. I didn’t even have to show my phone receipt last time I bought something there.

Costco has decided to implement draconian measures that treat every member as a potential thief. You are “guilty until proven membership”, and it’s just no longer enjoyable to shop there.

You used to be able to say that Costco had superior private label products, but I’m not convinced any longer. Most of the Member’s Mark products can hold their own against Kirkland at this point.

Costco’s tech systems are massively holding them back

They're just common forum abbreviations. DH = Dearest Husband, DS = Dearest Son, DP = Dearest Potato, etc
While I definitely fall in the Potato category, @mickeytopolino in this context DP was for Data Point. That's the most common usage on this thread.

I could also get behind if
OP = original poster
PP = previous poster
that
DP = dreaded poster or delightful poster
Again context sensitive and usually depends on if you're on the DIS or other boards. I know which would pop into my head on this thread
