I haven't won anything in the mail but I did manage to win a Dream Fast Pass at Animal Kingdom and at MGM during my Dec trip.

Those were the only times I ever saw a Dream Team hand out anything. I have talked to a few in my last two trips but they were all in "greet mode".

Nothing wrong with them then but not as exciting as when they are handing out stuff.

Can't wait to try again next month!!!

Congrats on the hats! My Monkey had a magic moment about a month ago...we were in VMK Central and a cast member asks her to find one of the stuffed animals that was different. After searching the bunch for a while, she finally found one that was different. She was given a Pal Mickey pin as her gift.

Oh, a comment on the buyable dream hats...we don't think they were made that well. Within just a short time of us buying one for MonkeyRulz, we noticed that the space around the bulbs that light up were either pushed in, or cracked. We don't know how it happened, but she didn't do anything to have them get as damaged as they did. We should have returned them, but she had already cut the chin strap off.

We totally need some different colored Mickey Ears in vmk ( blue, orange, pink, etc.)

Testers already have blue ears. The colors we've seen so far are black, gold, green, red and blue.

we ran into several dream team members while on vacation for almost two weeks , but unfortunately was not in the right place at the right time for awards. I had a very nice long chat with one of the members and asked how winning guests were selected on this promotion. She told me that they never know where or when they are to award things. They all wear an ear piece or have a radio/phone and are wearing a watch . Their bags are loaded for them each day before they go on stage with sealed envelopes , and to be sure that awards are random , they cannot give out anything until they are contacted by their base to go to a certain place at a certain time. and the first guest that crosses a certain mark ( like on a ride que where one line crosses another line ) at say 11:32 am ( times vary) . they have a few minutes lead time to get to that location(this gal was in Adventureland so was working the Adventureland area ) When at that set place , and the distribution time hits the first guest that walks on that spot at that time wins. They dont even know what award they are giving till they open up the envelope inside their bag.
At that time the only person that had won a night in the dream room at the castle was a cast member ( they do random wins behind the scenes for cast members also as a "go team go" type of builder ) so since the apt was not finished yet no guest has won it yet as when the guest wins on a day they stay in the apt that night . Again this was right before Christmas, but if you still see the cranes working around the castle in the am( dont worry cranes are taken down by 1pm for guest pictures of the castle ) they are not finished yet with the room . and that prize will not be one of the dream prizes for the day

When DH and I were there with ElectricLime and FlyingPegasus, we saw several of the Dream Team, not in gifting mode, though. We even had a chat with one of them outside the Haunted Mansion, where Electric wanted to trade pins with him. He said he required some song singing, which Fly did. Then the Dream guy challenged ElectricLime to a trivia question, to which Lime replied that the Dream guy had to answer his trivia. At which point, Lime proceeded to stump him!

But, none of us got anything, except they got some pins. DH and I saw probably ten Dream Team members, but they were always solo, and carrying their trademark bags (which I want, btw!).

BAH! Dara! I was there too Someone had to point out the Dream CMs to you all I had to answer a trivia question to trade with him too...

Aeryn, I'm so sorry! You are correct! My memory is awful. I was looking at a pic of us that the photographers took, and had to ask my DH who was who!

Yes, all, Aeryn, ElectricLime, and FlyingPegasus were there with us. Fly sang a song. Aeryn and ElectricLime answered trivia!

I just got back myself from 10 days at the World And I was granted a Magical Moment with a manager CM while trading pins on New Years Eve.

I was just outside Tony's with some friends and asked to see his pins. There weren't any I was interested in, but we all chatted for a moment about New Years and how nice it was just to be at the park on that day. I was wearing a purple Tink shirt and he said to me 'Since you are a Tinkerbelle fan, I have something for you." He pulled a card out of his pocket with 2 Tinkerbelle pins on it. The card is perforated between the pins and says "Where dreams come true" The pin is Tink spreading pixie dust from her wand and there is a matching one just below. He separated the pins and handed them to me and said "As I'm creating this Magical Moment for you, I'm also giving you the ability to create one for someone else. There are 2 pins, one for you and one for you to gift." He then instructed me to find someone who I thought might appreciate the pin. I thanked him and we went off to enjoy the rest of the day. Well, long story short, the day got rainy and during the parade & fireworks just plain ugly (fights broke out in the hub and all) and I never found someone to gift the pin to. Fortunately, I go often and the next trip I go back I'll be gifting the pin to someone (hoping I find a little princess dressed as Tink to do that with, actually )

Anyway, just keep your eyes out for the Magic while you are wandering in the parks, you never know where it will come from.

Wow Congrats Dara!

When I went in Sept/October with the Zeta's MickeysFriend and I got Dream fastpasses on Star Tours in MGM and when we came out tons of people were carrying the dream hats like you got- I stupidly refused a trade from one guy for the hats his family got lol but using the fast passes was too much fun too..

My sister went the week before Christmas and her family was caught by the Dream team 3 times- Fast passes in the MK and lanyards twice

I have a good friend who is on the Dream Team and she was telling me she'd love to get a lanyard and the ears herself- but the dream items are very closely monitored like mentioned before in a previous post- she gets the call and they go- she said they have been sent to different parks and have little or no time to get to next spot- and a few times a series of gifts goes ungiven if they don't make the assigned time and location. A computer controls the dream team so there is NO favoritism in it at all. She said her favorite place to gift is on Star Tours because she can watch the faces from outside before and after and everyone is always so excited...

I know in addition to the fast passes (one fast pass for each ride with fast pass in which ever park it is given), and ears they do have lanyards, and pins and of course eventually the night in the park...

Of course I haven't seen the lanyards- I didn't even know my sister was in the park the week before or else I would have had holiday quests for my family sigh...
