Is Handy Manny in it? If so i may go in by myself on SAtruday or if you guys go in on Saturday then I'll cling to your family. You know I got to have me some Handy Manny!
Yes! Handy Manny, Little Einsteins and the gang from the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, beginning March 14 (or if you have an AP you can see it on March 13!)

I'm fine with no meals or no ride planning but i"m really nervous for them on the hotel issue. I'm having a hard time finding something for 3 nights in a row. Jeff Just talked to his brother and they said they hadnt planned hotel because they didnt think it would be busy.:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Soooooooo, he said, well can Shawna book your hotel so you are in a good area and they said yes. He asked how many nights and they said they wanted to do 1 day at Disneyland (no CA Adventure which I think the older kids would LOVE) and 1 day at the beach and Beverly Hills and then they would drive back to my house. Ummmmm. Ok sounds like you need 3 nights then not 1.

It's actually amazing how many people can sleep in a car.:lmao: One of my funniest childhood memories was when we went to KaNeeTah.

It's an Indian reservation on the other side of Mt. Hood, kind of North central Oregon. They have a pool that is filled with hot mineral water and it's sunny there about 350 days a year. Though, sometimes very cold in the winter. They have a nice lodge, smaller motel & cottages or teepees you can rent. Of course my mom & dad never thought ahead to make reservations. So we packed a Suburban full and headed out. Of course when we pull in Friday night in the summer there are no rooms available. So they tell us we can pull in the field on the other side of the teepees and sleep in our Suburban. Mom luckily had blankets & pillows. But it was very hot, so we slept with the windows down. Around 6am we all awoke and started screaming. Apparently they allow free range cattle there and a cow stuck it's head inside our car and started mooing!:scared1: Of course it was funny after we figured it out. Anyway, we swam all day, had fun. Then still no rooms available. So we headed out that evening and pulled off alongside the road near Mt. Hood and slept for the evening. We had lots of fun and adventures with absolutely no planning. Not to mention some funny stories to tell years later!

they only have 1 king bed room available for the dates. Everything is booked pretty solid.
Wow. Not gonna cut it for a family of 5, I think you said. :sad2:

Well, at least you can give them the scoop, and maybe they'll skip DL, or opt to stay further away. Can you imagine if they'd done as they planned, and try to look for a place to stay after park closing?

Yeah, that gave me the willies! I probably would have set the house afire doing something like that! :scared1:
No Kidding... they were frozen too.

Ok the Fairfield has rooms for $209 a night. But there are 2 rooms for the 2-3 nights they will be there. I think Jeff needs to have a talk with them. Its not going to be cheap by their standards.

Hey, that would have been like staying at the Taj Mahal on my family vacations.:rotfl:

Alas, my kids STILL won't know any of the characters, but they enjoyed the last show anyway, and at least this one will be a new show. :thumbsup2

I wonder if Jeff gets a little jealous? :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

:rotfl2: I just told him I might go into playhouse Disney solo if no one will go with me and he said "do you wish I could talk like manny?" and grabbed me around my waste and spinned me and then he said "do you wish I had a big head" and motioned his hands about a foot on either side of his head and then said "do you wish I had little tools following my every move?" After this he dipped me! I was cracking up because he did all of this in his terrible spanish accent.

You would think, since we're talking next week, that the DL website would have some info on this, but they don't! :confused3

Some people aspire to live on Easy Street. But not Shawna, she wants to live on Handy Street!
