It's actually amazing how many people can sleep in a car.

One of my funniest childhood memories was when we went to KaNeeTah.
It's an Indian reservation on the other side of Mt. Hood, kind of North central Oregon. They have a pool that is filled with hot mineral water and it's sunny there about 350 days a year. Though, sometimes very cold in the winter. They have a nice lodge, smaller motel & cottages or teepees you can rent. Of course my mom & dad never thought ahead to make reservations. So we packed a Suburban full and headed out. Of course when we pull in Friday night in the summer there are no rooms available. So they tell us we can pull in the field on the other side of the teepees and sleep in our Suburban. Mom luckily had blankets & pillows. But it was very hot, so we slept with the windows down. Around 6am we all awoke and started screaming. Apparently they allow free range cattle there and a cow stuck it's head inside our car and started mooing!

Of course it was funny after we figured it out. Anyway, we swam all day, had fun. Then still no rooms available. So we headed out that evening and pulled off alongside the road near Mt. Hood and slept for the evening. We had lots of fun and adventures with absolutely no planning. Not to mention some funny stories to tell years later!
