no.

Lots to do tomorrow. Kids are just like a couple of animals tonight! The big one is in bed now (after dumping a cup of water on his brother because he thought it would be funny), and the little one is finally calming down. Ufff...

Well don't feel alone. My kids have been fighting like crazy for about a week. Here was last night at the dinner table:

Me: I am tired of you two fighting. I would like each of you to say something nice about the other one.

DD: (Rolls her eyes and gives me THE LOOK!). But finally looks at her brother and gives him a couple of compliments.

DS: I can't think of anything nice to say.

DD: See what he does!!! That's what I have to put up with!

Me: Please be quiet, he's only 9, let him think for a minute.

Me: Ok, have you thought of something nice to say to your sister yet?

DS: No, I can't think of anything at all!

Me: Fine then, you can either say something nice to your sister or you can eat all of the peas on your plate (knowing that he hates peas).

DS: Give me THE LOOK!! Picks up fork and starts eating all of his peas!

I GIVE UP!!:rotfl2:

Are you guys all staying at HoJo's?

did I read this right? you got exercise videos at the dollar store???? I didnt know they had them there!

man I used to do Yoga all the time. Before my dad died I was a gymaholic. Now I had to force myself to go do the elliptical today. Its sad how in shape I used to be but I've lost all of it. My dad would be so disappointed. I dont want to get back to the 2 hour a day regimine but I would like to get back in shape.

Do the videos self-destruct in 30 seconds? ;)

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: No, but my body apparently self destructs after 60 minutes of yoga!!

The Dollar Tree had them (near the books). There was MTV Yoga, Kathy Ireland Advanced Sports Fitness and In Shape w/Rachel McLish (whoever that is). Figured I couldn't go wrong for $1 each!

I'm trying not to overdo exercising so I have enough tummy fat for my surgery this winter. Finally, a valid excuse for not exercising!:thumbsup2

Oh please! You don't have any fat on ya!! :sad2:

Thanks Melody. The costume issue is a major one for us as well. We saw some girls in string bikinis basically doing hip thrusts of all things and they were 5 last year. I got so scared to switch studios because ours is careful about "dance moves" and cannot show midrift at all.

They do a lot of lyrical and ballet and their teachers are from ballet Arizona which is our best ballet company here. Anyway, I'm glad to hear that because they are so negative about competitions where we are there. They have so many problems that I just cannot overlook it anymore and I dont think the older girls are THAT great so I'm not sure how far they can take them if that makes sense. I would rather go to a studio that has more technical training than we get here. I also dont want to bounce around from studio to studio because she is attached to her friends in company where she is at. I'm just really afraid they are going to go under. :sad1: I would like to get out before we are forced.

I want to finish this year because we have already learned the production numbers but I am thinking of putting her in a ballet class at another studio just to see what it is like and show her that she can make friends elsewhere. I think a bunch of people are jumping ship after this year anyway. 3 of her friends are also looking for studios.
Well before I get going on this subject....................has anyone noticed the time?? It's time for the DIS glitch meltdown. Just about 9:30pm again. Argh!!!! Slow, slow, slow. :headache:

What I did, was try to go the dance recitals from different companies at the end of the year. I remember going to the one I switched to. I was blown away by the performance and the dancers. She would do all out story productions. Like Beckys first one was the " Wizard of Oz." The older girls did "Somewhere over the Rainbow on toe shoes and flowing dresses. They danced in perfect lines, and all together. I thought to myself.............someday, Becky will do this. Very professional. Becky was a Munchin that year. And that night was just ballet. The next night she would do jazz, tap and lyrical in just good ole variety.

Maybe you can start snooping already! :cool2: :cool2: :cool2:

Can you believe that I'm staying up late tonight so I can get the laundry done before the cleaning lady gets here tomorrow?:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: I just hate how she does our laundry (hardly uses any soap, never uses fabric softener and folds things really weird). I keep telling her she doesn't need to do our laundry, but she does it anyway. I know she's just being helpful and I really don't want to offend her. So it's just easier to get all the laundry done on Wednesday nights!:lmao:

thanks Melody. I thought of hitting the recital circuit for Christmas and also the spring. I'm glad it workedfor you because that was going to be our strategy as well!!! We have about 5 moms who are interested in about 10 different studios. should befun to see them all.
