Dark Universe looks so, so, so cool. I cannot wait for the new park to open, even if I won't be going anywhere near it the first few years. Excited to see what the vampire restaurant is going to offer. 🧛‍♀️ I really hope they have something related to Phantom of the Opera in it somewhere!! That story is my strongest special interest and I know everything about every adaptation.

You're in luck - I can guarantee that, at the very least, his organ is in Monsters Unchained!

We will see. They say PG-13 but then they say the Frankenstein ride the scariest ride they have ever created. OKAY. I'm just waiting to see how they thread that needle. I have a feeling that out in the open areas it will be much more light.

Cue all the Beavis and Butthead-esque euphemisms about the Phantom's giant flaming organ, being put on display for everyone to see.

(Or is that only happening in my head?)
It wasn't happening in my head until I read your comment.

@kbelle8995 I'm thinking because the ride is enclosed, they go much scarier and darker there than the rest of the park.

I love the idea of Dark Universe and think it's the perfect addition, especially given Universal's history with monster movies. I will wait until I know more about it after it's been open for awhile. I could see myself totally skipping this section completely, or going to enjoy the atmosphere but not riding anything.

Seriously, who is voting No?! Why would a person who is going to a Universal message board and clicking on this thread not be at least a little excited about this project? I'm not even sure I'll get there for a while as I go for the Meetups and I'm not sure how EU will play into their plans but even so I'm excited!

This thread was started 5 years ago. I voted no at the time because I wasn't excited about it then. I am really not interested in Nintendo, monsters, and at the time had never seen a How to Train your Dragon movie (I have since seen one on an airplane). I will go and check out the theming and rides for the novelty, but when the little bit of information was first released 5 years ago, I wasn't that interested.

Fair enough.

These are my guesses:

✨️ Strict date-based tickets to Epic only. No park-to-park. No AP. Guests with a hotel reservation have more access to tickets.
✨️ Express passes will be included for Helios in a Stay more Get more fashion.
✨️ EPIC-only EP will be available.
✨️ Group and Individual VIP tours will also be available.
I’m impressed by your fancy looking bullet points :thumbsup2

I doubt that they will not allow annual passholders into that park. They might give them a chance to upgrade to a three park AP like they did when they opened Volcano bay. I could see them do timed entry into certain parts of the park. That's what they do in the places like Japan where they have the Nintendo section. EP might not be available at all the rides they think will be more popular. It was a long time before you get ep for any rides in Hogsmeade section.

When they opened Hogsmeade in Orlando. They made a special package that you had to book to get access. It was a hot mess. People were at the entrance and by the second weekend they said forget it and if you were staying at the Universal hotel. They let you in. We were staying at Royal Pacific and we were allowed in. I cannot tell you how many time I got stopped asking if the Harry Potter sections was open due to the fact that I had a bag of Harry Potter merch

I would absolutely love it if they let us upgrade our current AP.

Oh me too! Im dying to know if EP will be offered to Grand Helios guests or will EU even have EP.
I am wondering this too. We have RPR booked for fall of 2025. Not specifically because of Epic - that would be our “usual rotation” of when to return to Universal after doing WDW this year - but it still worked out well that EU would be open. I already assumed that our EPs would not work at EU, or at least not work on the headliners. But I just thought the headlines would be blocked out - it didn’t occur to me that a different hotel would provide EU-only EPs. Interesting. I guess I’ll keep my ears open in case I need to make a 1 day reservation there too.

I saw this today from Attractions magazine. Hope it's a joke. Can someone please fact-check? Thanks.

I'll wait until I can go to just EU if that's the case. There's not much for me at the other two. I assume that eventually they would drop this restriction.

But I also hope it's a joke. What a mean move, lol

It's not a joke and makes sense why they are doing it. It's a way for them to keep people at their parks for one and two it will with limiting capacity at Epic Universe.

Remember when they announced Epic Universe, they said they want to make Universal a week long vacation destination. By making you buy a 3 park ticket minimum it forces you to take at least 3 days at Universal

Guess they weren't kidding when they meant a week long. Most people would want at least two days at Epic, meaning they would have to purchase six days of Universal parks.

I want four days at Epic, which means I will have to spend 12 days at Universal. 😵‍💫 😵

There was (allegedly) some info sent to travel agents last week about how the tickets would be structured and this was basically it. But nothing official has been announced and we don’t know what they will offer guests staying at Grand Helios. Hopefully we get more info on tickets, pricing and EP soon.
