Same! I think the How to Train Your Dragon area looked cute, too, but Dark Universe makes me actually excited!Dark Universe is certainly my highlight so far, the other lands all look fantastic, but Dark Universe looks completely Epic.
I love thrill rides, but I absolutely HATED the line for Kong when they had the scare people in there. You couldn't get me near HHN, so if they have people jumping out at you at night it will be a daytime only thing for me. I can handle zombies walking around, but not if they act threateningI have pretty much the same question or a close variation of it. Horror nights are not my thing and I am somewhat of a ride coward. (Forbidden Journey is my absolute limit).

Oh me too! Im dying to know if EP will be offered to Grand Helios guests or will EU even have EP.Tapping my foot impatiently waiting for news on the Grand Helios hotel....
They "have" to give EP to Helios guests, right?Oh me too! Im dying to know if EP will be offered to Grand Helios guests or will EU even have EP.
I'm actually hoping/ expecting Universal to not offer express pass at all for awhile. Unlike Disney, they don't offer express passes on their most popular rides. I feel that's fair because otherwise the very long lines would be unbearably longer for the standby crowd. It would be nice if they let the guests staying at Helios into the park an hour earlier. They "have" to give EP to Helios guests, right?![]()
if portrayed properly, the classic monsters will certainly hold their own. I hope U honors their roots and doesn’t water things downDark Universe is not going to be anything like HHN. It’s a land based on Universal monsters, not jump-scares & gore like HHN.
Will be shocked if U doesn’t take advantage of what will be a license to print money and not offer some sort of individual attraction $$ add on option ala Disney’s lightening lane systemI'm actually hoping/ expecting Universal to not offer express pass at all for awhile
I’d not be surprised to see park reservations initially be put into place if attendance is projected to warrant itUnlike Disney, they don't offer express passes on their most popular rides. I feel that's fair because otherwise the very long lines would be unbearably longer for the standby crowd
Agree about potential park reservations. I think that initially, the demand for EPIC will be super high so they’ll almost have to do park reservations for a year or 2.Thus far the Nintendo area had my interest.
I’m now all in for Dark Universe!

Horror done right, doesn’t always have to equate to jump scares & blood baths
I’m of the something for everyone school of thot

They have a return to line feature in place at VB, could possibly be adapted for certain Epic attractions, for those willing to pay extra to not wait in a standby queue. One that has nothing to do with staying onsite

There is already a bit of a Disney exodus with many winding up at the dark side the last few years.
With the recent changes to the wdw disability procedures, many have declared they are ready to make a switch and deal with U’s IBCESS system
Sounds good, but they have to take into account all the people in the various resorts on property. That should be a pretty big number in itself. Add that to day tickets for the public and I don't know how that will work. However, I don't get the big paycheck to figure it out, LOLI don't think they'll be park res because imo they're just gonna sell day tickets only, no aps etc . No tickets tied to park to park etc. That's their way to control it.
I would assume it would be up to the guests staying at the resorts to pre-buy their date-specific tickets. In other words, you wouldn't have to wait until the morning-of to buy the ticket. Universal would decide the max capacity for Epic and only allow that many tickets to be sold for each date. You wouldn't need to buy a ticket and then make a separate reservation. Once the tickets are gone for that day, they're gone. I would also expect that annual passes will not apply to Epic for awhile either.Sounds good, but they have to take into account all the people in the various resorts on property. Yep. That's what I meant by day tickets.. Guess I should have said dated tickets.I would assume it would be up to the guests staying at the resorts to pre-buy their date-specific tickets. They made a big effort during the video to frame it as "scary but family friendly". Would expect spooky levels to be closer to Haunted Mansion than HHN, albeit without the cheeky humor of HM.For those talking about HHN, from what I’ve seen & heard, Dark Universe is not going to be anything like HHN. It’s a land based on Universal monsters, not jump-scares & gore like HHN.
