Unique Baby Girls names??

Heres a few for others out there!

My Name is COLLEEN and I have not heard anyone recently name their daughter that! I love it! I tried talking my niece into naming the baby Colleen I'm sure she would be the only one as when I went to school there was three of us in one class and four in the school!

Also my neighbors baby is about 6months old her name is MILA that's a first I have heard that one! I hear from my kids that their is a girl Mila from the Disney Channel! But other than that I have not heard it!

Considering I had all boys and couldn't ever use any of my girl names.
Here are a few of my favs.
Elise
Caitlin
Micah
Chloe

:goodvibes my daughter is named Elyse-Caitlyn !!

Other one is named Savannah.

I haven't read through all the posts, but I was just thinking the other day that if were to ever have another daughter what a pretty name Disney would make. I know it probably sounds a little strange but Disney I believe sounds like an elegant first name.
Good Luck!

We named our daughter - Tatiana! We loved the flow of the name and with our last name it sounds really wonderful. Her middle name is Rose. I still love to say it - Tatiana Rose! :) Unique, but people have heard it.

I think that is one of Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg's daughter's names.

Ok, I am so glad I found this post. We are 6 weeks pregnant and picked an official name last night. We are quite excited about it. Mickeyla! We liked michaela but wanted a different way to spell it. well, we we came up with Mickeyla, we just knew it was perfect. Now we just have to find a boys name that is just as unique.

Congratulations! That is a pretty name, but, well, that spelling looks like the name is Mickey-La, like micky mouse. Probably others will think that as well. Just wanted to let you know, sorry.

I don't know if anyone has suggested this or not but...my daughter's name is Parker. I only know of one other little girl named that. Her full name is Parker Renee. I also know of another little girl w/a name that you usually don't hear for a girl - Spencer. Her name is Spencer Renee and I think it is beautiful too!!

Janelle
Ella saw this one a bit too

All my kids' names have a celtic tone to them...

#1 DD - Ryleigh Madison Michele .....
had she been a boy, Riley James Michael

#2 DD - Madigan Makayla Theresa ....

and baby #3... a boy who will arrive sometime in January 2007... will be:
Graiden James Michael.

I love Finnegan but DH thinks he'llbe teased as Mr. Dress-up"s dog puppet.

Had baby #3 been a girl, we'd call her Mickenna Fiona Elizabeth. But alas, my body will probably not be able to take another pregnancy... so Grady will be our last child.

We're german and I'm a big Sound of Music fan. Always wanted a Liesel; DH never went for it. I do have a dog named Gretel though! Have fun with the girls names. Luckily we had two in our house, we could never agree on those boy names!

I first looked at this thread on our cruise in June... wow...

I know a girl whose name is Micaela. It is pronounced Mickella. I think that is really pretty.
Helen is also a good name you don't hear much anymore

And my favorite will always be Bailey. :goodvibes I just named a cat at an animal shelter that. :)

Gianelly (Gee a nel lee)
Sadaf (Sa dof)
Karmyne (Carmine)

(told to me by other teachers, a few are mine)

We have two DD's. I love unique names. Our oldest is Ashton Meakile and youngest is Karlynn McKenna (not pronounced Carolyn, but KAR Lynn) we call her Karly for short. If we ever decided to have another I like Addison or Terran. I am also a teacher and the most unique names I have seen this year were Cedar Gray and Abc.

Abc?

Well, doesn't that beat all?
I need help pronouncing that for sure.

I've read through most of the posts (though not all). I like names that are aren't incredibly popular, but not so off the wall that they're difficult to pronounce or spell. I checked some of my favorite names against the Social Security website. These are my favorites that have not been amongst the top 100 most common names in the last 15 years:

Girls - Juliana, Maggie (like Gyllenhaal), Liv (as in Tyler), Evie (I have a friend Eva Marie, but she goes by Evie), Drew (as in Barrymore, I like it for a girl), Carly, Callie, Rory, Liesel (yes, from The Sound of Music), and Mila. I also like Maya, Julia, Mia, and Ava, but they are considerably more popular.

Boys - Rory (I know I listed it under girls, too. I like it for both; like Rory on Gilmore Girls and Rory Culkin - Macauly's younger brother), Toby, Cillian (like the actor Cillian Murphy, it's pronounced with a K sound), Brady, Kieran (another Culkin brother), Eli, and Emile (like Emile Hirsch). Other names that I like are Jacob, Joshua, James, Julian (I have a thing for J names) and Bradley (dear lord, I love Bradley Whitford) - but again, those are much more popular.

For the record, I'm Ashley Dawn. I like Dawn, but there are so many Ashleys out there. When I was in high school I had an Algebra class with two other Ashleys and I couldn't even go by Ashley S because one of the other girls also had an S last name. She was before me alphabetically, so I was called just by my last name in that class. The only child in my family born after my 20 year old brother is my cousin's daughter. Her name is Alexa Rae. My cousin picked out Alexa and Rae is after our uncle Ray who died in 1998. The same cousin is also expecting Connor William (William after her grandfather) in about a month and a half. She also considered Aiden for awhile.

My family names after great grandmothers for the girls. If I ever have one (one ds for now) I have these to chose from....

Ella
Olivia
Lucy
Mae

A lot of the names I've seen here are actually really popular here in the UK - Ella and Olivia are two of the most popular names around here at the moment (along with Grace, Caitlin, Megan, Eliie, Madison etc).

My daughter is called Alissa Rose, I've never known another child in England be called Alissa. There is one Alyssa who I met on the internet, plenty of Alicia/Aleishas, but that's about it!
