GEO-82 Lounge now open at Epcot

Is there absolutely no walk ups? I have an alert but just wondered if they allow some walk ups there are only two of us.

There are zero walk ups. All bar seats are included in our reservation bucket. But, honestly, I have many guests have success checking the app day of and I end up seeing them check in with a reservation a few hours later. That's the best time to snag a cancelation!

None. I did try in June but got a solid no with a quick side lecture on how their availability is in the app.

I've been checking every day for any reservation times for the past couple weeks. Every time I would look, the calendar for the entire two months was sold out for both 2 and 4. Occasionally, one or two days would pop up with an open time, usually around lunchtime.

Yesterday, when I randomly checked, there were suddenly times available nearly every day from next week until November 1 for both 2 and 4! I frantically scrolled through and found two dates with 8 pm times - tried to grab one but by the time I clicked through it was gone, but did manage to snag the second one. Within an hour, half the dates were sold out and the only remaining times were lunchtime or very early dinner.

Does anyone know the rhyme or reason for dropping a batch of open dates like that? Why show a sold out calendar for weeks on end, only to suddenly release reservations for several weeks at once? And how does one find out when this might happen?

For any other frequently solo visitors who have learned to "work around" the reservation system by looking for reservations for two or more and then modifying ... just thought I'd share that I've had good luck with finding reservations for one at GEO-82. Assume this is because they're including the bar stools in the seating.

I'll ask this question in the Geo-82 thread because we have reservations for next month, but I'm actually curious about all the lounges at WDW and their menu offerings (e.g. Beak and Barrel Oga's, La Cava, etc.).

We have a family member with us that does not drink alcohol, and also has strict dietary requirements so does not drink sugary drinks. Looking at the Geo-82 menu, besides the wine, beer and drinks with alcohol, the only listed non-alcoholic drinks would not be suitable.

Is it possible to order sparkling water or club soda as a drink in this case?

The Geo82 is a full service bar - so not only the drinks on the menu, but pretty much any drink you want, and if no alcohol or sweete drinks wanted, it should be no problem to get plain water, club soda, etc since it is used for mixing. They do also have fountain sodas - I know you mentioned her not drinking 'sugary' drinks - not sure if Diet Coke is something she can drink (no sugar, but sweet tasting) - that could also be an option.
