Two for One: Double Disney Birthdays! *Meg nonTR upd 9/23* // *Help out Katie! 10/22*

I did get antibiotics! We are going to wait and book in a couple of days once Patrick is sure he can have the time off. Plus today has turned into a slightly stressful day and I just don't have the energy to book. We had to make a second run to urgent care this afternoon. Patrick ran over his foot with the pallet jack. Luckily (or not?) he only broke his big toe, but that took some time out of my day...oy!

I'm glad you got antibiotics! And I felt so bad when you texted me about that :sad2: Did they give him anything to help with the pain? Or just tell him to take over the counter stuff?

I swear I was having sympathy ear pains for you earlier! Just not in the same ear as you. Charles and I were cleaning his room so he could take apart his other desk, and he had a window open, but I kept on coughing/sneezing, and my ear was bothering me and it and my throat hurt every time I swallowed. I finally ended up taking some Zyrtec and it went away eventually but I kept on saying, "I'm having sympathy pains for Katie." :rotfl:

Patrick was only prescribed an antibiotic, as a precation. He has been taking advil every 4-6 hours. Thank you for having sympathy pains for me. My ear is feeling a bit better tonight...and hopefully will be completly well soon!

Hope you guys are both feeling better very soon. Between all the stomach viruses, sinus troubles, earaches, broken bones, etc. around the DIS, this place is a mess! Everybody needs to get all better so we can celebrate spring!

And Disney trips! :dance3:

And Disney trips! :dance3:

It is a mess! I started not feeling well last night but I'm chalking it up to allergies because it started when I was helping Charles clean his room and assemble his desk. It could also be because the weather here is nuts -- it was in the 70's a few days ago and now it's back to being cold and there's a chance of rain/snow showers on Friday. :headache: I am so ready for Easter and spring!

Hi Meg and Katie! I'm still alive! It's been a bad few weeks for my family(I posted details on MeMom's TR) but I'm back! I missed my DIS friends

Glad to hear you had a good trip Katie!

My cousin was in Orlando visiting a friend during spring break. I didn't think she was going to Disney but then one day last week she texted me a picture of the castle  I was so jealous! She just went for one day. She hadn't been in 9 years :scared1:

HEY! I am so sorry I never texted you...I meant to a bunch of times because I was wondering where you were, and then I'd forget until it was like 11:30 PM and I didn't want to do it then because it was late. :sad2: I saw what you posted on MeMom's report; I'm so sorry its been such a bad few weeks and you had to go through that...I lost my great-aunt to cancer and I really, really hate it. I missed you, I'm so glad you're back! :grouphug:

Day 2 (Saturday, February 13) Part 3. Dinner @ 1900 Park Fare!

After DHS, we headed back to Pop for a little bit of rest before heading back out to our 1900 PF dinner. I was really, really looking forward to this dinner because I had heard nothing but good things about it, and I was very interested in dining with the stepsisters. We took a bus to MK and hopped on the monorail to the Grand Floridian. This was the first monorail ride of the trip! I loved the balloons on the monorail and took a picture before we got on. I'm pretty sure Kailyn told me I probably looked like a creeper to the people who had not yet gotten off the monorail. Whoops. :rolleyes1

We're here!!

I had my camera ready for when we got off at the GF. I had been dying to see this resort in person and it did NOT disappoint.

22334_320931284094_505059094_3398538_6150107_n.jpg

I refrained from using my camera in the bathroom until the other couple of people in there left. This ended up being a recurring theme whenever I'd try to take a picture. Some strange girl would jump into it and then sometimes try to lean out of the way.

22340_317966179094_505059094_3388367_6463488_n.jpg

We hung around outside the restaurant and basically amused ourselves by taking more pictures. My dad walked out, saying, "Meg, take a picture of me walking in like I own the place."

22340_317966184094_505059094_3388368_1494631_n.jpg

Then there was, "Meg, take a picture of this."

22340_317963469094_505059094_3388360_2178050_n.jpg

I thought it would be funny to pretend that I was trying to open the doors, but I was terrified someone would peer out and see me doing it, or open the doors and scare me. :lmao:

22340_317966219094_505059094_3388370_3453426_n.jpg

We were finally let it, and given something so that they could call us to take a picture. My mom said, "I didn't know they take your picture." She didn't seem thrilled, but we ended up doing it AND buying it because it came out really nice. :thumbsup2

Continued in next post...

continued from previous post...

We were let in and shown to our table. I'm pretty sure our server was Margaret, and she was AWESOME! She cleared our plates so quickly and kept our drinks refilled. She was really, really good!

They announced Cinderella first. She came to our table and was so sweet and so into character! She asked where we were from, and I said Massachusetts. She said, "oh, your mice must be busy making clothes to keep you warm!" She noticed my parents' anniversary pins and wished them happy anniversary and asked if they still danced, and that they were welcome to join her and Prince Charming when they danced. She was so cute!

22334_320931359094_505059094_3398545_1348347_n.jpg

Prince Charming was next, and I don't remember much of our interaction with him, but he was very nice and cute. Probably not as cute as MeMom's Prince Naveen, though. ;)

22334_320931334094_505059094_3398543_67727_n.jpg

22334_320931349094_505059094_3398544_2507495_n.jpg

Lady Tremaine came next, and she was hilarious! She was so cold and snooty and aloof. There was this really cute little boy at the table next to us who was crying, and she turned, pointed, and said, "stop crying." I think she said something to Kailyn and I, like, "oh...you're sisters."

22334_320931364094_505059094_3398546_4041938_n.jpg

After my mom took this, she said, "oh, beautiful." Lady Tremaine said, very snooty, "yes, I know I am." :rotfl:

The stepsisters were next and they were SO funny! Both of them asked, "are you sisters?" (indicating Kailyn and I), and I said yes. "Oh. I'm sorry." Then one of them asked which one was the mean one, and Kailyn and I pointed at each other. Then she asked which one of us was the favorite. Kailyn just sat there and smiled, not lifting a finger, and I pointed at her. :lmao:

22334_320931374094_505059094_3398547_3827291_n.jpg

This was one of my plates. Pretty much all of my plates were the same, except I got some caesar salad a couple of times. Strawberry soup, mozzarella and tomato salad, and salmon with some kind of sauce. It was all SO yummy! I think I had about four bowls of the strawberry soup.

22334_320931329094_505059094_3398542_3485860_n.jpg

We ate until we were stuffed. It was a really, really good dinner and it's now on our "must do every trip" list. Chef Mickey's is the only other one on that list. ;)

We went to the bus stop to go back to DHS to use our TSM FPs. I was fascinated with the bus stop. It had benches and mounted TVs!

22334_320931459094_505059094_3398555_4466568_n.jpg

Again with the recurring theme of the strange girl in my pictures...

22334_320931469094_505059094_3398556_8048982_n.jpg

22334_320931489094_505059094_3398558_1221307_n.jpg

We were the only ones at the bus stop, so as we were waiting, I started trying to take self-portraits. Someone seemed to ninja into my first picture. Gosh, this girl is everywhere!

22340_317966259094_505059094_3388374_3252629_n.jpg

Then it took several tries to get a nice picture. We were each upset with the other for ruining the picture before so one of us would make a face, the other would smile nicely, and vice-versa for the next picture. :lmao: After doing this a few times, we finally called a truce and ended up with a really nice picture that is now Kailyn's default profile picture on Facebook, which is saying something. :thumbsup2

Up next: DHS, "well, I had better accuracy, so HA!", and MK!!

1900 Park Fare looks SO much fun! The pictures you took came out great :) The strawberry soup looks yummyyy...is it a hot or cold soup?

Aw, you're not a creeper for taking a random photo of the monorail. Does Kailyn not know the Disney ways by now? No picture is too odd to take in WDW! I also am not sure about the strawberry soup. Is it meant to be a dessert? What a pretty hotel GF is!

Awww it's okay! I was planning on texting you or checking in but I kept forgetting. For future reference, you can text me at any time of day because if I'm asleep, my phone is off ::yes:: I do that on purpose so people know if I'm asleep. A couple summers ago my grandma kept calling the house phone and as I've said before, I can sleep through anything, so it didn't wake me up. She has a tendancy to over react so she panicked and thought I had fallen down the stairs or something :rotfl: It was 11 AM so I probably should've been awake, but I'm a teenager. That's my excuse ;) Anyway, she never thought of calling my cell phone. She called my mom at work and then my mom called my cell so she figured out I was asleep :lmao:

Thank you! I missed you too and I'm very happy to be back :yay:

We looooved 1900 Park Fare! Their breakfast was so good! We didn't do the picture. My mom refused. :rotfl:

The next time our trips overlap we should have a character meal together!

It was a lot of fun! I want to try it for breakfast, too, because I adore the Mad Hatter. The steps were awesome, though.

The strawberry soup is really good -- it's cold. It had a lot thicker consistency than I expected and it was pretty filling, but I loved it!

She doesn't yet! She needs to join the DIS. :rotfl:

The GF was amazing. I'm not sure I could ever stay there because it just so not my kind of place, but it was really, really pretty. The strawberry soup was good! It could definitely pass as a dessert, but it was up with the other soups/salads at the buffet. I'm pretty sure that at least one of my bowls was with my dessert plate. ;)

I am always concerned about texting people and waking them up so that's really good to know :rotfl: That's hilarious about your grandmother! My brother can also sleep through anything -- sometimes his alarm starts going off and even though it's RIGHT next to his head, he will not wake up for anything. Someone has to yell at him and he wakes up just long enough to hit the snooze button and repeat the process a couple of times.

I want to do the breakfast, too. And we should totally do a character meal together the next time our trips have an overlap! Now to finish responding to you on Facebook before I head out...:rotfl2:

Great update!! I do love the GF. Dinner looked like fun, although you family seems like it could have fun anywhere:rotfl: You are def getting me hyped for our trip in 3 weeks:banana: Can't wait. Looking forward to more updates, and hoping everyone is feeling better:)

I have a growing fondness for the Grand Floridian. I used to think I would have no desire to stay there ever, but I do think I'd like one night one of these days, just to say I did.

Maybe your dad, the owner, can hook me up with a nice room at a good rate. :)

We booked our May/June trip this morning!!!!

May 29-June 6, 8 Nights, 9 Days

All-Star Movies Preferred

Free Quick Service Dining!

We managed to get non-stop flights that get us to MCO at about 9pm on arrival day and leave at 2pm on the 6th. Which doesn't give us park time on those days, but that's ok. I just can't believe we have booked to go again so soon! Thanks for the pin code Disney!

Yeah we have fun pretty anywhere we go :rotfl: That's awesome that you're going in three weeks! Where are you guys staying?

:rotfl: I'll see what he can do for you!

We ended up at Beach Club briefly for some reason -- I think we were coming back from DTD and took a bus there so we could take the boat to Epcot, and I LOVED it. The theming and everything was just so pretty. My mom said it's supposed to have kind of a beach-y, Cape Cod-y theme, which is nothing new to me, but I immediately decided when we walked into the lobby that I needed to stay there someday. :lovestruc

Non-stop flights are good! Are you going to be sitting through the graduation ceremony thinking that you're one week away and thinking on your birthday you're just two days away? :woohoo: I'm so excited that you get two graduation trips and kind of a birthday trip!

Don't worry about finishing your TR before your May trip -- I don't think I'll be entirely done with mine by then, and this way, when we finally get to meet up again, we'll hopefully be able to post pictures of it :thumbsup2

I'm just so excited! I can't believe we get to go again so soon! I had jokingly told Ann we should book a trip with the 40% off room discount before we ever left for the March trip, and she told me I didn't need to have another trip so soon! I can't believe she agreed to this! And I'm excited to try the QSDP, I think its a good choice for us.

Forgot to mention in my previous post: We are having lunch at Tony's again!

Yay!!!! :yay:

You are going to get spoiled to going often.
At least, we did. ;)

We're going to wait for All Star Movies to refurb, and then we're going to stay there again. The room we had was pretty worn.

Non-stops flights are definitely the way to go.

The QS Dining PLan would be pretty good for us, since we normally just space 2-3 TS meals over a long trip.

I know you feel good booking another trip so soon! :goodvibes

I am totally getting spoiled by going so often! Luckily the plan is to move there next June/July, so that should help :rolleyes1

All-Star Movies is Ann's favorite resort. She feels that it is most Disney of all the resorts. I loved Boardwalk when we were there last week. I felt that it was very centrally located in comparision to all of the parks...and being able to walk to EPCOT and DHS was amazing!

We love non-stop flights! It almost always means that we will get there on time, since we have no layovers!

When we travel with Ann, food isn't a big part of our trips...she likes more park time vs. having to sit down and eat a meal, plus she is a really light eater...sometimes she will just order a kids meal. So I think this will work well for us, plus she and Patrick love Dole Whips, so they are looking forward to using all of those snack credits!

Katie, congrats on the free dining pin! That's awesome!

Megs, what a funny, funny update! I was laughing all the way through it from your "creeper" picture to your dad's Grand Flo pictures to the interactions with the characters at 1900 Park Fare to Kailyn acting silly! You all have such a great time together!
