Two for One: Double Disney Birthdays! *Meg nonTR upd 9/23* // *Help out Katie! 10/22*

Congrats on the pin DisKate! It must be very excitting to be planning another trip! :thumbsup2

The QSDP will give you lots of food & snacks with the freedom to eat on the spur of the moment! Dole Whips are yummy!

Great update Megablocks!

I'm looking forward to 1900 Park Fare....it will be a first for me too.
I love the character interaction! You never know what they will do next....

The GF looks so elegant. :goodvibes

Silly girls! Silly Dad! Your family knows how to enjoy a vacation!

Meg -- Loved the pictures & the 1900 Fare meal. I have heard alot of good things about it recently so it was nice to see photos! Those pics of your dad were hilarious!!!

Kate -- Glad you are back safely & feeling better! Can't wait to read your Trip Report!!! And congrats on getting to book another trip so soon!!! HOW EXCITING!!!! :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

I am totally getting spoiled by going so often! Luckily the plan is to move there next June/July, so that should help :rolleyes1

All-Star Movies is Ann's favorite resort. She feels that it is most Disney of all the resorts. I loved Boardwalk when we were there last week. I felt that it was very centrally located in comparision to all of the parks...and being able to walk to EPCOT and DHS was amazing!

We love non-stop flights!

When we travel with Ann, food isn't a big part of our trips...she likes more park time vs. having to sit down and eat a meal, plus she is a really light eater...sometimes she will just order a kids meal.

I agree about All Star Movies. The icons are fantastic! So many great photo opportunities there. :thumbsup2 I have only stayed there once, but I have visited many times. Any time we stay at any All Star, I take pictures at all of them.

Our flight from BNA to MCO is a little less than two hours. It is so nice to take the earliest flight and be in Disney World by lunch time. :wizard:

We're the same way about food. We like it all, and there are plenty of good counter service places that serve more than burgers and fries. We like to have a few character or new restaurant meals in the mix, but we mostly eat i the room and do counter service.

Kate Woo hoo for another trip!!! :woohoo:

What a great update of 1900 PF....love those stepsisters!!!! And the Prince is not too shabby either!! ;)
I am thinking you rather liked that strawberry soup!! I have heard that it is very good! :) Wow! I didn't know your father owned GF!! I feel like I know a celebrity now!! :lmao: Such a luxurious bus stop too!! :rolleyes1

Tracy

We booked our May/June trip this morning!!!!

May 29-June 6, 8 Nights, 9 Days

All-Star Movies Preferred

Free Quick Service Dining!

We managed to get non-stop flights that get us to MCO at about 9pm on arrival day and leave at 2pm on the 6th. Which doesn't give us park time on those days, but that's ok. I just can't believe we have booked to go again so soon! Thanks for the pin code Disney!

Lucky!!! All-Star Movies is definitely on our list to try! The theming looks so neat.

Thank you for all of the trip wishes everyone! We are super excited to be going! I'm hoping to be able to start posting our March trip pics tomorrow night...we have a long weekend so I will hopefully have more then 5 minutes to sit down and get started! Thanks for being so patient! Have a Wonderful Wednesday!

We love non-stop flights! It almost always means that we will get there on time, since we have no layovers!

When we travel with Ann, food isn't a big part of our trips...she likes more park time vs. having to sit down and eat a meal, plus she is a really light eater...sometimes she will just order a kids meal. So I think this will work well for us, plus she and Patrick love Dole Whips, so they are looking forward to using all of those snack credits!

I'm like Ann, I love food but I prefer park time over sitting down and eating a meal. I'm pretty okay with just snacking on stuff.

I can't wait till you move there so I can visit you down there!! I think I'd be afraid to visit in the summer, though -- not because of the heat, but because of the bugs. :scared1: I'm absolutely terrified of beetles or anything that resembles a beetle, so I think I'd die of fright if I ever saw a palmetto bug. I was absolutely freaking out over seeing a dead cicada (or a junebug? Whatever it was, it was HUGE), when we were down the Cape. If you look on Charles's Facebook, there should be an album from that trip -- if you see a dead bug and someone's finger kinda-sorta next to it, that's my finger, and I was freaking out the entire time.

Megs, what a funny, funny update! I was laughing all the way through it from your "creeper" picture to your dad's Grand Flo pictures to the interactions with the characters at 1900 Park Fare to Kailyn acting silly! You all have such a great time together!

Thanks Jackie! It was a lot of fun. :goodvibes Kailyn is getting more and more vocal and more interested in being in pictures, and even doing silly things in pictures. Charles is noticing her tendency to talk more and say things and gets a huge kick out of it, because she likes him a lot, she just never talked around him. She's basically turning into my mini-me :rotfl2:

Thanks! I hope you guys love 1900 PF as much as we did. The characters were a blast -- I really want to try it for breakfast sometime, too.

We do enjoy our vacations. Sometimes it's fun just getting there, like when we drive out to Ohio. One time, I took over the driving and my dad sat behind me, grabbing my seat and sticking his leg up next to me, and then he finally just fell dead asleep, so we were absolutely hysterical over that -- it was just like a little kid who finally wore himself out. :lmao:

Meg -- Loved the pictures & the 1900 Fare meal. I have heard alot of good things about it recently so it was nice to see photos! Those pics of your dad were hilarious!!!

Thanks! It was SO much fun. I'm glad you liked the pictures, too -- I really like taking them but Kailyn never cared to get in them much till now!

Kate Woo hoo for another trip!!! :woohoo:

The prince was not bad at all. He was actually quite charming too ;)

I loved the strawberry soup! Kailyn wouldn't try it (she has an aversion to berries after having a reaction to something with berries in it...we are a family of weird allergies.) I want to find the recipe somewhere!

The bus stop was crazy. It was so nice to be able to sit down on an actual bench, but I like the stop at Pop better, because it has a queue so there's no fighting to get to the bus first. I was especially entertained by the fact that it had mounted TVs.

Thank you for all of the trip wishes everyone! We are super excited to be going! I'm super excited for you to be going, too, in case I haven't told you so :rotfl: And I'm excited to read about your trip even though you texted me a lot!

Yay for a long weekend! :cool1: This was just a four day school week, but it seemed every bit of a full week!!!
Can't wait to see the pictures!

I am hoping to do a REAL update after work tomorrow night, but I wanted to post a picture from a DIS meet I had with Christine (Tink9721) again! If you are on my Facebook you might have seen this already. This time the meet was on home turf -- she and her cousin were coming to Boston, so after work I drove to the train station and headed in to meet them. We headed to the food court to eat and ended up just sitting around talking for about 2 hours. :rotfl: Her cousin was so sweet, and it was a lot of fun. I can't wait to meet up again :goodvibes

Have a great weekend, guys!

Very fun! I love that we make new friends around here, and that they are usually so easy to talk to right away. :)

I do, too! I can't believe that we sat around talking for about 2 hours, it sure didn't feel like it. I'm hoping to meet up again, and I'm really hoping to be able to meet up with Katie over the summer!

It was sooooo much fun!!! I couldn't believe it was two hours either! The first thing my cousin said when we started walking back towards the convention center was "omg I LOVE her!" We're about to head back to Boston. I'll post my DIS meet pictures tomorrow :cool1:

How fun to meet up with another Dis friend! I'm never been fortunate enough to do so but I bet you could all talk for hours about Disney!! :)

Awwww, that's so sweet! She was so nice and funny!

Charles asked what we did and I said, "sat around in the food court talking for two hours." He said, "really?" :rotfl:

It was a lot of fun! I was so glad that it worked out for me to go into Boston after work to meet up. We talked about everything and the two hours just flew by. :goodvibes It has been a Disney-ish couple of days because I met up with Christine last night and got a box from Katie today with a bunch of stuff she got me, including my birthday presents (which I already opened :rolleyes1) Charles has taken to calling me "texty McGee" because Katie and I text so often :rotfl:

You'll have to make that happen sometime. DIS meets are fun, and even though you do talk Disney, no doubt, you find yourself meeting just the very nicest people that you feel so at ease with. The Disers we have met are just sweet, giving people with similar goals and values. I am a shy person out here in the real world, but when it comes to Disney-related things, I am able to come out of my shell a little and feel at ease. It is fun to learn more about each others' families, activities, etc. outside Disney, too.

Happy Easter to all of you girls - Meghan, Katie, and Christine!

I am super shy in person and I know that if I hadn't talked to Christine on the DIS before we met up in Disney, I wouldn't have had much to say. Then, of course, we ended up talking for 2 hours when we met up on Friday! Katie and I both agree that if we lived closer, we'd never get anything done and our boyfriends would accuse us of ignoring them. :lmao:

Happy Easter to you too, MeMom, and everyone else!

Day 2, part 4 (Saturday, February 13) DHS & MK!

**Unfortunately I didn't take a lot of pictures aside from at DHS and since I didn't keep a trip journal, I can't remember exactly what we did at MK. Sorry, guys! The next update is going to be a lot better because it was the night that we stayed at MK until 3 AM!

After dinner at 1900 PF, we hopped on the bus to DHS and were the ONLY ones on the bus! DHS was supposed to be closing really soon, and we were really, really excited that we were going to make it. We got to DHS and headed straight for TSMM. The wait time for standby was still posted at something crazy -- I want to say around 90-120 minutes, and the park was scheduled to close in less than an hour. :confused3 I'm assuming that they kind of padded the wait time to discourage people from getting in line, because it didn't look THAT long when we were going through the FP line, but I couldn't tell because this was going to be our first and only time riding it.

I LOVED the queue! I was almost disappointed that we weren't in the standby line so I could have looked around more and seen Mr. Potato Head, but I was really excited to finally see the queue for myself.

I ended up riding with Kailyn, which was a lot of fun. I am so not a competitive person, but I can be when I'm with the right person, and I was with the right person. However, she beat me. I didn't think I did too bad for my first time but she REALLY beat me! I was quick to point out that I had the better accuracy, though. :snooty:

Oh, she tagged herself in this picture on Facebook. Of all the pictures I posted, I think she tagged herself in exactly two -- the "nice" one I posted of the two of us in the last update, and this one. I really, really enjoyed the ride -- I was so glad to finally get a chance to ride it after two trips of totally missing it.

We were itching to ride another ride, and decided to go for RnRC. I can't remember if we had Fastpasses or it was just a short wait. My dad, Kailyn, and I all rode and my mom poked around in the gift shop and then went outside to wait for us. We headed out after that, trying to decide what to do and where to go. My dad, Kailyn, and I were all up for heading to MK, but my mom decided to head back to the room.

None of us remembered that there was no bus between DHS and MK -- that to get there, we'd have to take a bus to the TTC, and then get on the monorail to the MK. The line for the TTC was HUGE. The queue was full and the rest of the line went back to another bus stop. So, we decided to just get on a bus to a resort and take the bus to MK from that resort. I think we chose the bus stop with the shortest line, which ended up being CBR, which was where we stayed on our very first trip. Unfortunately, the idea of taking a bus to a resort and then MK was not as effective as we thought it would be. It ended up taking a while. Whoops. :rolleyes1 When we finally got to MK, Main Street was PACKED because Spectro was going to be starting soon. SpectroMagic is my very, very favorite Disney parade and I HAD to see it. My dad and Kailyn were not interested, so we headed to Frontierland so I could stake out a spot and they could ride BTMRR. I lucked out with getting a spot -- Frontierland was pretty empty, and I was walking behind the people already standing when I noticed a long, empty stretch of sidewalk behind the rope. People were standing to both sides, but there was an empty stretch between. So, I walked up and stood there. :woohoo:

I got exactly three pictures of the parade. One, I took to send to Katie (one of the big fish), since I think we had been texting, anyway. Then I took two on my camera, but just two. I ended up just watching and taking it all in. :cloud9: I did the same thing with Wishes a couple of nights later -- I didn't take out my camera except to take a couple of pictures of the castle before the show started. I just stood and watched...and cried. :rotfl:

22334_320931594094_505059094_3398569_1115384_n.jpg

Everything was timed pretty well for the three of us -- by the time Spectro was just about over, Kailyn was calling me because she and my dad were all done on BTMRR. I think this was when I walking over to her, on my cell phone, saying, "I see you, I'm coming up on your right." "What? Where?" *turns around wildly and looks left* "Other right, Kailyn." *more turning* "WHERE?" By then I was practically on top of her. :lmao: I think there had been some problem with BTMRR -- it had been shut down a short time earlier, but they waited it out and it ended up being back up and running, so they got to ride.

We headed over to Haunted Mansion next, where I managed to get two pictures of Leota -- one with her eyes shut, and one with her eyes open. I was SO excited! I love listening to the people in line who notice her eyes opened and try to convince the rest of the people in their party that they aren't crazy. :rotfl2: I LOVE this ride at night. The way the mansion is lit up is just so amazing and creepy.

22334_320931579094_505059094_3398567_8167018_n.jpg

the three of us managed to squeeze :crowded: into one doom buggy. My dad got in first, Kailyn was in the middle, and I was on the end. How I managed to fit myself in there is beyond me, but we did it. It was a lot of fun because Kailyn and I both freak out on this ride. Those little heads popping up just get me every time, no matter how many times I have been on. :rotfl:

After riding HM, we headed out, because we had to be back early the next morning for our KTTK tour. I stopped in Casey's on the way out because I wanted some corn dog nuggets (I've still never had a Casey's hot dog.) They were YUMMY! I kept on offering the cup to Kailyn as we were walking and she kept on taking one every time I offered, which surprised me, because she normally doesn't eat hot dogs and she never usually accepts anything I offer her. We headed back to Pop Century to rest up for our tour the next day.

** I am going to write about the KTTK tour next but I unfortunately didn't take any pictures, even when we were outside and could take pictures. I'm going to write about our night at MK separately because that deserves a whole post of its own :goodvibes On Wednesday, Charles and I are going into Boston to celebrate our 4 year anniversary so I'll hopefully have some pictures to share from that. I also know what I'm getting from him for our anniversary/my birthday! The two are not even a week apart so to make things easier, I just ask for one thing and call that "our anniversary/my birthday gift." I am so NOT a bag girl -- I don't like to carry bags and I never understood dropping a huge amount of money on one. However, I fell in love with the Dooney & Bourke designs, especially the black one with the multicolored Mickey silhouettes, so I asked for the wristlet for our anniversary/my birthday! :yay: I don't know when it's coming, but I am SO excited for it! I'm also super excited for the new Kingdom Keepers book to come out TOMORROW! My mom pre-ordered it on Amazon, and I am keeping my fingers crossed that we actually get it tomorrow. I'm dying for it!

Have a great week, guys! **
