Two for One: Double Disney Birthdays! *Meg nonTR upd 9/23* // *Help out Katie! 10/22*

yeah, great update:thumbsup2 We :love:TSM. We let the boys go on themselves and my husband and I "compete" (we are both very competitive lol). One of our first times on it, it kept stopping and you get to practice -it doesnt count for your score, but by the time we got off, my hands felt crippled from pulling the strings so much Haha:lmao:. Can't wait to hear re: your tour. We leave in a week:banana: Staying at BLT, cant wait:yay:

I have yet to see the TSM standby queue for myself, either. I think for our next trip we're just going to go to TSM first thing as usual but skip the FP line and get right on the standby! I really want a picture of Mr. Potato Head

On Wednesday, Charles and I are going into Boston to celebrate our 4 year anniversary so I'll hopefully have some pictures to share from that. I also know what I'm getting from him for our anniversary/my birthday! The two are not even a week apart so to make things easier, I just ask for one thing and call that "our anniversary/my birthday gift."

Happy Anniversary to you guys!

What day is your birthday?

I thought I'd be strategic -- since I'm a lefty, I decided to shoot with my right arm first and then switch to the left when that arm got tired. Didn't quite work :rotfl: My arms were killing me after!

You are leaving so soon! Have an amazing time! :yay:

I want to see him so badly! Katie sent me a picture of him and I am dying to see him for myself!

Happy Anniversary to you guys!

What day is your birthday?

Thanks MeMom! :goodvibes My birthday is the 13th.

Great update Meghan! You guys fit a lot in that evening, didn't you? Fun! I love TSM and I also love Casey's corn dog nuggets. I'm really missing my Happy Place a lot lately so reading about your great night made me smile. :)

I forgot to mention in my last update that my dad, Kailyn, and I also went on Stitch's Great Escape. My dad insisted that it was a lot of fun (I had read otherwise), but I decided to go with them, rather than be left alone. All I can say is, never, EVER again. I think the first thing that set me off was the harness. I'm fine with a harness if I'm on a ride and NEED it, but if I'm just sitting there, I hate it. I hate being restrained for what feels like no reason. It just makes me feel so panicked. That plus the darkness plus the loud noises made me hate it. At least I know that I'll never make the mistake of going on again, right? :rotfl:

I also wanted to post some pictures from Charles's and my journey into Boston yesterday! If you are on my Facebook you might have already seen them. It was SUPER hot out yesterday -- the last I had heard, it was supposed to hit 83, which sounded perfect to me. It ended up hitting 90. I had worn a black shirt and dark jeans, so I ended up feeling like I was going to melt, but I made it. I don't know that I could ever do Disney in the summer, though.

The big columns in the front are part of the Holocaust Memorial. I took some more pictures when we actually walked through.

Entering the Holocaust Memorial. It has grates that you walk over and sometimes it is billowing out steam/smoke.

This is at one end.

This is at both ends.

Looking up through one of the columns. Each column has the numbers of those who were killed during the Holocaust, in something like 12 point font. I don't know exactly how high the columns are, but each one is completely filled.

We walked over to the aquarium. Right outside, they have a big tank with some harbor seals, and they were SO playful that day!

These trees are in bloom everywhere around here, and I love them! Charles hates the smell, but I love it, because my grandmother's yard has some small bushes of them and it brings back memories. :)

I've never, ever been on a Duck Tour, but I've heard it's fun. And you have to quack :rotfl:

We got to the Boston Commons and there was an ice cream truck with an illustration from Make Way for Ducklings on the back!

Here's the funny thing about yesterday...we had plans to eat at an italian restaurant called Vinny T's, right across the street from the Prudential Mall, which is where I met up with Christine last week. It turns out that particular location had closed, but there was absolutely nothing on the website about it. It still had Boston listed as a location. So we walked around more, headed back to my house so I could change, and went to the same restaurant in a different, nearby city. It was really, really good! I didn't get any food porn pictures, sadly. :rotfl: It was a little weird at first because when we first got there a little after 5:00, we were the only ones there, aside from two guys sitting at the bar. A couple more parties came in while we were eating, but it was a bit strange at first. It was an amazing day overall.

Thanks Kelli :goodvibes We did fit a lot into the evening considering it took us a bit of time to travel between DHS and MK, but it was a lot of fun!

I know how you feel -- I am having major withdrawals right now. I'm glad the update made you smile!

Great updates Meg! Looks like you and Charles had a wonderful day yesterday! And its almost your birthday!!!! I'm considering sending you another small package, since you opened your birthday present early...but this time I'll delay the shipping so you don't get it until the 13th! :rotfl2:

You needed to go and see for yourself. It is a sacrifice a good Diser should make. :)

Glad you had a nice trip to Boston. Thanks for the pictures, since I have never been there, and most likely, I will never get there.

Just caught up on your last Disney update and your Boston update, Meghan. Too funny that out of all the pictures Kailyn tagged, she tagged the TSM one. Guess she really wanted to show everyone that she had beat you! :lmao:

Stitch's Great Escape is one of Connor's favorite rides -- go figure! I know exactly what you mean about the harness -- I hate it! Can you imagine what the ride must have been like when it was Alien Encounter? Although I must admit, I would have really liked to have experienced it since it was supposed to be so scary Disney had to change it.

What a beautiful day in Boston! I love spring when everything is blooming. :lovestruc

Thanks girlie! It was an awesome day. And you're crazy -- you do NOT have to send me another small package! :lmao: I swear it didn't even cross my mind that I should wait until my birthday to open it. I'm like a little kid. I always ask Charles for my Christmas presents early. :rotfl:

I made the sacrifice! Once is enough, right? :)

Glad you enjoyed the pictures! The Boston Commons and Fanuiel Hall are two of my favorite areas of Boston.

Kailyn's excuse for tagging exactly two pictures, one of them being her score, was that it took too much time/effort to go through and tag all the "relatively decent" pictures of herself. I think she just wanted to show that she beat me :rotfl:

My parents and Mike did Alien Encounter -- I was always too afraid to! The harness really, really bothered me, so I can't imagine how much I would have been freaking out on Alien Encounter. I have a feeling that people screamed on that so I would have fit in, but I didn't want to be that screaming girl on Stitch. :rotfl2:

It was an amazing day. There were so many pretty trees blooming, I loved it!

Boston is so pretty! Last time I was there, I was 12. I really want to go back and watch the Red Sox play at Fenway, I'm dying to go to that ballpark!

I rode Stitch last year just to say I went on it and it was AWFULL. My sister and I got separated because there weren't 2 seats together, so i was even more bored throughout the whole thing. I did Alien Encounter, so I knew when the harness started to come down I could stop it with my hands and just hold it there, so it wouldn't press down against my shoulders. I do not like the feeling of being confined like that! I remember the screams of children on Alien Encounter, it was just terrible! :sad2:

Loved the pictures of Boston!!! I really want to go up North sometime even if its just for a weekend. I'd like to see a lighthouse in Maine & maybe stop in Boston on my way up!!! Its probably just wishful thinking though...not sure if I'll ever convince any of my family to go North...they always want to go further & further South for the warm weather. Me, personally, I just want to explore places I've never been to! We always go the same places over & over & over again...but I'm usually ok with it since 9 times out of 10, its Disney or Florida!!! :lmao:

That park in Boston really looks beautiful & I love those trees!!! We have a very small one in our yard similar to that & it just bloomed Tuesday after we had some rain the previous day! It is gorgeous! Although I do hate the ginormous bees that live beside the tree & land on the blooms everyday! lol

I never rode the Stitch ride & I doubt I will this trip. I would not like that harness either. I am clostraphobic & do not like to feel like I'm trapped in something. It really freaks me out! I guess I don't have to worry because right now my son is scared of pretty much anything dark and/or scary.

Can't wait to read more! Hope you have a Happy Birthday!!!!

I hate the restraints on Stitch's Great Escape too! They freak me out!!!

Those seals are soooooooo cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I haven't done a duck tour either but I want to! Every time I'm in Boston I say I want to do one and I still haven't :rotfl:

I like the license plate on the ice cream truck

I love Vinny T's!!!

I really want to go back and watch the Red Sox play at Fenway, I'm dying to go to that ballpark!

Fenway Park is amazing :cloud9:  I'll be there two weeks from today :dance3:

I made the sacrifice! Once is enough, right? :)

Most assuredly. ::yes::

I would actually be interested in seeing survey results of how many guests are repeat Stitchers. I bet the percentage is pretty low.

I'm glad it is there for kids like Connor, who love it, but they (and Stitch) deserve a better attraction. :stitch:
