Tron roller coaster @MK?

It absolutely needs a major fix. They added braking all over the track to ease the structural wear and tear. It wasn't gutted in the last refurb at all, that was Disneyland
space mountain had a major refurb in 2009 not 2012, i was wrong in the dates, but still it doesn't need another major refurb yet...

Here's an opinion from me that's gonna SHOCK everyone:

Everyone is diving for the cheese in the trap...and ALOT of people are gonna be disappointed come this time next week...

Your goal is to get "something"...maybe 2 "something's" would be great...3 would be pie in the sky...

Realistic expectations...not "Martin says 12"...Martin needs a new hobby...

And Hopper, how dare you? I've told you for years that shovels prove EVERYTHING! don't steal my wind, baby...it ain't just a hole...

Have you seen Test Track lately? The amount of advertising a GM company required to continue that sponsorship is... ludicrous. WDW is not dumb enough to allow that kind of sponsorship in MK.

The Autopia at Disneyland is sponsored (fabulously, I might add), by Honda. It's pretty neat what they did once they took over, theme wise. Previous sponsor was Chevron.

Yes...yes it does...

Space mountain is a 42 year old roller coaster tucked into a tight structure with outdated design...because it's so space restricted. It absolutely needs a complete redo...but that can only happen if they have other rides to compensate the downtime needed.

I rode it in November and it was pretty rough then.:duck:
It's been rough since day one...because it predates jimmy carter...

That doesn't play as well now...and that could be addressed if they redesign the whole ride.

Space mountain has never been fully worked on because the most they could ever close it from an operation standpoint is about 4 months...I think flipping the lights on and redesigning the whole track - perhaps going to one circuit...is the only way to ensure it's longterm future.

Anyone who's been in there during the light of day knows what I'm talking about...

I know nothing about the Tron movie, but I just looked up a video of the ride in Shanghai. Yes, please! I'm not picky about which park gets it, as long as it comes to WDW. I would also not be sad to see Speedway leave.

You're missing my point. The last major refurb redid the cars, queue, etc but the track itself to my knowledge hasn't been replaced since it opened 42 years ago. And I don't care if you make your track out of wakandan vibranium, you're gonna have to replace the wear and tear eventually

When was the last time you rode it?

Two months ago. The 2009 refurb you keep talking about had its budget slashed. The track wasn't replaced. It's rough as all get out, has been welded on a million times, and had to have trim brakes installed to keep it from beating itself to death. I love SM, but the 40 year old track is crap. It just is.

I believe it, News Today has been breaking a lot of stories lately. I don't like either "Tron" movie at all, both are lame and fake looking. .... But it's a big improvement over "Tomorrowland Gas Guzzlers". It is an awesome E-ticket attraction, for a land that's starving for one (besides Space Mountain).

If true you have to give Disneysource her props, she predicted this ride would happen.

100%...you must believe in physics and mechanics...not what the wdw press releases say...

...are you one of THOSE people?:scratchin

...right...but do you know they hired all the circus people from Barnum's after they disbanded to "report" for them?
