Transportation ? for when parks close early

I have Hoop-De-Doo reservations for one of the nights of Night of Joy, where MK closes at 7. Am I going to be able to take the boat back to MK after dinner to get back to my resort or will I have to take a bus to DTD and transfer there instead? It's a solo trip so I'd like to know ahead of time so I'm not wandering around. Thanks guys!

My understanding is that Night of Joy is a hard ticket event, which means that the park closes to regular guests at 7:30, but the Magic Kingdom continues to operate until 1am for the event. So the bus system will still be operating until after the Night of Joy event end.

And if you are at the late sitting for HDDR they will have buses at FW that will take you back to your resort.

Or, you could budget $15 for a cab and be back at your resort in 10 minutes.
