We went to the event yesterday, and we're given the option to purchase the mugs. We bought 2 @ 30 bucks each. It was an awesome event...and it was the cherry on top.

For those that might be interested these seem to be going for around $100 with shipping on ebay.
Make sure you check the shipping as it seems to range from 10.95 to 23.95.
To me - not standing in line and having it shipped is well worth the extra if it shows up as expected.
I do wonder how some people get so many of these

Well...you could always have a drink - they do have some very nice drinks and it is entertaining.

From what I understand they should have enough to go until Halloween, but you could always give them call the day before.

I have a feeling the prices are going to jump back up soon.

We stood in line last Sat for 2.5 hrs. Then another 1.5 with the wristband/pager. The line was insane.

I did the same thing a few days ago. I'm doing my dining room in a Tiki theme, which is the reason I wanted it. I still want to stop a couple of times for drinks at TS, hopefully without extremely long waits. I think they should have had separate lines for those just wanting to drink / eat at TS.

We had the same thought once we bought them from eBay - how long will we have to wait at TS just to get in? And now we already have the mugs, did not lose an entire day of park time, and hopefully the lines will be manageable when we get there in a week.

Will be there next week but looks like I won't be in time. Wasn't a deal breaker for me though it would have been nice. Plenty of other drinks and souvenir glasses out there. Besides I still haven't tried an Uh Oa yet.

We were there the day of the Hurricane when curphew was lifted and headed over to the Poly bc we wanted to check out Teader Sams. It was about 2:30 and the line was already long. We jumped in line not even knowing they were not opening the grotto. They gave out wristbands one per person. You could get you drink but had to leave immediately. I am pretty sure most of the people in line were locals, at least most the people around us were. We got lucky that day and got our mugs (honestly I thought they were already sold out).

I was just disappointed I didn't get to spend time in the grotto bc we were going on a cruise the next day.

You are probably right - one per person makes sense - I saw so many people saying they got 2 - but they were couples.

I have an extra Disneyland Trader Sams Haunted Mansion tiki mug. Would anyone be interested in trading me for a Disney World Grog Grotto version? I know they're almost identical but I'm a Trader Sams mug collector and they have different text on the bottom. I was planning to get one when I'm in Disney World from 11/3-11/10 but it sounds like they're sold out. DM me if you're interested!
