I'm glad the throat problem isnt anything serious.

You are getting back on track with working out, great job! :thumbsup2 And that is a huge milestone - 2 stone weight loss! :cheer2:

Wow, I cannot believe you have been married three years! Happy Anniversary!

Don't fret about the two pounds, once you are back in your running routine, it will come off. You had a lot going on this past week.

So glad the throat thing is nothing serious, what a relief!:goodvibes

Hi Tracey! It's Thanksgiving Day here... Will you be watching the Macy's Day parade? Do they show it over there? How about Charlie Brown? Hope all is well with you!:goodvibes Have a wonderful day!

i Ran my face 5K last week
exercise is picking up again after the swine flu, bike accident & weather!!
Weight is staying the same - but when i went for my monthly massage she said she could definatly tell i'd lost some so im not taking the scale too seriously as i can tell with clothes that i have lost even if the scale doesnt, DH said i've really toned up :)

Hi Tracey,

It's great to hear from you! :cool1: We missed you around here!:grouphug:

Congrats on running the 5K!!!:cheer2: It sounds like you're back in the groove with your exercise too. Way to go!!:cheer2:

I hope you had a great time with your mum and family yesterday. Happy Birthday! :bday:

Great job on the Christmas shopping!:santa:

Hope you have a great week!

P.S. Charlie Brown is Snoopy's owner. :goodvibes On Thursday night, they had the Charlie Brown Thanksgiving special on. A friend of his invited herself and two others over for Thanksgiving and CB couldn't tell them no. So he and Snoopy, Woodstock (the bird) and Linus (CB's friend with the blanket) help make a Thanksgiving dinner for their friends of buttered toast and popcorn. The friend who invited herself is not thrilled and is mean to CB. After some prodding from a friend, she apologizes to CB. At the end of the show, CB explains his dilemma to his grandma and she invites them all over for a proper Thanksgiving, while Snoopy and Woodstock eat the proper Thanksgiving dinner he had stored in his doghouse. It's a cute cartoon! The Charlie Brown Christmas cartoon is even better! :santa:

How wonderful that your clothes are getting loose! Another excuse to go shopping! :goodvibes I'm sure you are loving all those well-earned compliments from everyone. :thumbsup2

I will be heading your way in a couple weeks, we will be spending a couple hours at the Natural History Museum during a loooong layover in London. Have you been? I'll take any "must see" advice!

Tracy - i used to be mad on snoopy when i was a kid, i loved drawing him & i had my snoopy mug up till about a year ago - it got broken :( had it from about the age of 9!!! They dont seem to show the cartoons over here any more though :confused3
The 5k was tough as i hadnt ran outside for 4 weeks! the fastest time was ran in 18 mins, i did it in 35 mins - not the last but not far off!! but i was just pleased i finished it, hopefully i will be quicker when we time it again in a couple of weeks! The 65 yr man who i now did it in 25 mins!

Amy - i really need to stop clothes shopping!!! but most of my clothes are now way too big!! so ive needed practically a whole new wardrobe!
not done NHM but would like to so let me know what you think!
they say madam tussards (sp!?) is good, and the dungeons very scary! I saw the crown jewels a long time ago & was impressed - but then i love anything that sparkles! Oh & i got lost in Harrods!!

Did i mention DD & i are going to see the band Muse at wembley stadium in London next year for her 16th b/day - we both love them, & we will have just got back from WDW so will hopefully cheer us up!
DD is in the school play this week - rehersed till 8pm for 6 days all week last week plus 2 choir concerts!! performing every night this week till 10pm, this in the middle of her course work! poor girl is shattered...& very grumpy, but loves performing/singing, oh well prepares her for the real working world i suppose, we are going to see the play on Friday.

Mentioning DD's 16th - we will be celebrating it in WDW any ideas?

Sending some :wizard::wizard: for your DD. It sounds like she has a lot going on this week. I bet the school play and the concert will be wonderful! :goodvibes:

That is so cool that you're going to a Muse concert for your DD's 16th birthday!:thumbsup2 I bet both of you will have such a great time!:dance3:

Hope you have a wonderful week, WISH sis!

Hi Tracey, that is so nice your clothes are loose. Your hard work paid off! And you get to shop for a new wardrobe too, how nice for you!

That is great you will be in WDW for your dd's 16th. Maybe take her to the spa at Saratoga Springs for a mom and daughter treatment?

I am dying to go to the Tower of London and see the crown jewels! But it's too far from the airport and I want to be able to spend all day there. I did get to see the royal wedding display at Buckingham Palace a couple years ago and they had the most beautiful jewelry I've ever seen there. I'll let you know about the museum.

No ideas on how to celebrate DD's sweet 16. I guess just celebrate that she still talks to you! :rotfl:

:lmao: you have no idea how relavent that isea is at the moment!!!:goodvibes

Amy - i like the spa idea, we are staying at the dolphin for a few days & the spa looks good there, its deffinatly my kinda thing but not sure if its DD's but will put the idea to her :)

Tracy - DD's show is going well, shes not getting in till 11pm everynight this week, but shes loving it - just tired, its a long day from 8am!!! There performing 'The King & I' looking forward to seeing it on friday :)
Friday is the last show & she is staying for an after show party till 11pm then they are going for an indian meal, & dh has to pick her up about 1am!!!
This girl has a better social life than me!!!

i feel like im just getting back to my fitness level i'd just reached before the swine flu hit, had a good spinning class & i jogged for 25 mins before!! (first 15 mins on an incline) & didnt feel like i was going to pass out - did i mention i nearly fainted at a spinning class the other week???

Basketball was good on monday - i love the training but am really struggling to understand the rules when we play a game!! i did have one of those movie feel good moments this week - 10 seconds left to play & i get the ball theyre all shouting at me to shoot & i was quite far away from the basket, but i shot & it went in on the last 1 second of the game everyone was hi fiving me :goodvibes

Hey Tracey,

I can vouch for the spa at SSR and I am betting the one at the Swan is very nice too! I had to laugh at lovinaz's summation of "if she's speaking to you, celebrate". Ain't it the truth with those teenagers!

Okay, I am gonna start calling you "Carmello" after my favorite basketball player Carmellow Anthony! That is awesome you made that shot.

Google my pal Carmello, he's one of the best in the NBA so its a good nickname to have!

Great job at the basketball game, Tracey!:cheer2: You are really movin' and groovin'!!!:cool1:

Any special plans for the weekend?

Have a great day today!

Wow, I didn't know we were in the presence of a basketball start! :worship: Well done on the last second shot! You are becoming quite the athlete!

My friend from childhood is playing basketball in the UK for a team called the Jets. Are you familiar with that team?

merry christmas everyone!

It has been soooo busy this last week, DH is on call for road gritting & we had lots of snow - which is pretty rare for us, cant remember the last time we had a white christmas!!
anyway DH is on nights so hes been out from 5 to 6pm till between 3 & 6am everynight, so the days were halved so much couldnt been done until he woke up, then lots of last minute shopping & decorating! tonights his last night and he gets a week off till on call again!
ive had way too much alcohol this week
xmas day was stuffed - ate way too much!
did go to the gym today :)

we are out tomorrow & monday night & DH can at last a have a drink!
Today is proberbly the 1st day i've had to chill all afternoon - hence the chocccies came out ;) we've had sooooo much chocolate its obscene!!

exercise has dropped off a little - no running club for 4 weeks due to weather - & me not being dedicated enough to want to run in the snow!!
& also no outdoor jogs for the same reason, but have stuck to gym 2-3 times a week & same for spinning - i will be happy if i can manage to not gain over the holidays! & will step things up as the weather improves - roll on summer i'm sure i'll feel much more motivated!!

Sounds like it was a nice novelty to have a white Christmas. We always had those when we lived in Chicago, but now that we're in FL the only "snow" is the soap stuff they cover the downtown street here in Celebration with.

Good job with the gym since your outside activities have been curtailed!

Merry Christmas Tracey! I saw on the Weather Channel parts of England were having a white Christmas and I figured that was more work for your dh! Enjoy those chocolates guilt free, tis the season after all!

I am with you though, bring on summer!

Happy 2010, good job getting to the gym.:thumbsup2
